Ebonite Red Crush/R Bowling Ball

(4 reviews) Write a Review

The Crush/R with Reactive Resin has a modified strata core four-piece construction for unbelievable control. The lightly sanded urethane shell (76 hardness) has a profound hook on the backend. It skids through oil to conserve the kinetic energy for greater hitting power. The softer urethane inner shell (67 hardness) absorbs shock to keep pins low and explosive. Polish the Crush/R for dry oil conditions and get the same explosive results.

This was my best ball, actually two of them, at the time. One was drilled to go long. Didn't get much use. The other was drilled for an even, consistent arc. I throw it right, it struck. In Handicap tourneys, left side, it didn't seem to eat all the oil, and the shot stayed there. Didn't have to move much. I had a 168 average, and bowled three tourneys with this, low average 224 high about 240. Yes, huge walls, throw left, comes back and strikes. 6-12 board target. After that, I had to come in scratch. LOVED these balls. Not enough ball to play a big swing, but, that is against the lefties bible anyway. We are supposed to play the 5 board, straight up;-)

I was looking for a ball on dry and was looking to by a Brunswick Monster Slayr. I ran across this ball in Sportmart for $29.99 and figured I'd give it a try. Got it drilled to go long with no side weight and gave it a try. First league night I used it the first game didn't go so well - too many splits. The second game gave me nothing but solid 8's and 4's but by the 3rd game I had the breakpoint down pat and I rolled a nice 226. By that time the lanes were bone dry with all balls hooking but the Smash/R hung right in there. Great find!<s

I am now 20 years old and have been bowling since I was 7. My first ball was a Lite-Dot, then I stepped up to a U2, then, came the Crush\R. I was so proud of myself because it was my first reactive ball. From the experience I picked up from using this ball, made me a better bowler. The ball was very versatile, it accomodated to my beginner status, then as I improved with time, was able to give me the edge needed in tournaments. Overall, this ball gave me everything that I was expecting and more!

Drilled 41/2x41/2..pin above fingers.......polished to 3000grit.... What a ball for control, for a power player.......very smooth, arcing roll, and huge hit, that doesn't quit Just find some dry boards, and it'll come back. Polished, it will go through the heads without a problem, even when they are dried up, but bag it when you got heavy, long or lots of carrydown.....The cover just won't make it back. If only they found a way to make them, so they didn't break!!! Never saw one that the cover didn't crack on!
