Ebonite Puma Bowling Ball

(3 reviews) Write a Review

Pouncing on fresh conditions or broken down heads with oil carrydown is the Puma’s forte. Medium hookability and control of the pocket will endear this Cat to those with medium to faster ball speeds and medium to high revs. They will find the Puma an indispensable weapon in their arsenal.

This is one ball I take with me to all my touneys. went to a county torney with this ball and 3 others the lanes had a reverse block shot and nothing in my bag was working. I pulled this ball out and played a straighter shot to the pocket and SHAZAMM!!! nothing but clean decks from that point on. I love this ball for dry lanes an awsome weapon to add to your arsinal. I recomend this ball to anyone who has to play in a dry house. One of the best balls I have, works great for the spare shots the only problem is finding one.....

Overall I rate this ball a heavy 8. It is very consistent. It can be forgiving at times. Except on oily lane conditions, this ball is an awesome ball to have. I am currently having this ball cleaned up and ready for league use. If the Predator acts like this ball, I might have to invest in that as well. I enjoy Ebonite products. This ball is always in my line of balls to use. This ball is not made anymore however. If you like consistency, this ball is for you. Good luck trying to find one though. Happy bowling!

I had the origonal puma from 1998 or so. Until I looked at this web site I thought only the logo had changed over the years. It was news to me that they also changed the coverstock. Anyway as long as the lanes were not flooded or toast this ball provided a consistant line to the pocket and carried very well for me. The ball was 16lb with the cg in the span and the pin near the ring finger. I guess you would call it label leverage. I shot my personal best of 299 with this ball and I also shot several 700 series with it. Last year like a fool I started trying a lot of other balls and gave this gem away. It goes to show you new isn't always better.
