Ebonite Matrix TPS Bowling Ball

(4 reviews) Write a Review

The Matrix TPS has the same single density, mass bias BOMB'S AWAY core as the original Trimax, so you can expect the same control and predictability. Add the traction of the TPS coverstock, a high-volume loading of particles designed to bite through heavy deposits of oil, and you will have an early-revving, even-arcing ball for heavier oil conditions. More control.

I used to use this ball a lot last year on my high school team, but it didn't hook the same after a few weeks. Over the off season, i slowed down my ball speed and now this ball hooks out of control! i love the movement off the corner, the steadiest hook i've ever seen from a ball. Great roll, smooth as anything i've ever thrown. Hits the pocket as hard as a Mack Truck. I sometimes have a lot of crush 9 pins, but that just depends on the house i'm bowling at. I wouldn't get rid of this ball for the world!!!!!!

just a great ball in general. I just got it a few days ago, and haven't shot under 200 with it yet. has the ability to play any shot you want. I typically bowl down and in, but am able to swing this ball out when the time comes. Easy to handle, and easy to adjust. I do like the color, purple is just such a great color. use on the heavier oil in my opinion, but be careful when the heads get dry, this ball will just drive so hard. A stone 8 could stare you down, but don't get discouraged, cuz it has rarely happened with me.

This ball was drilled for medium length and hard flip on the back with the cg stacked on the pin without weight hole due to the low top weight. Ball cleared the heads very easily with a lot of length and had a great recovery to the pocket. The steep angle of recovery with this drilling tends to leave corner pins but that is not the fault of the ball, just my line. if you throw it straighter through the oil, no corner pins. Only had to move a few boards on the day because it is a reactive. Very very nice. If you want a nice heavy oil ball, go for it, just make sure you have enough oil to play it. Don't shy away just because it's old, it's still a great ball.

For what I paid for this ball and all the hype over it, I didn't like it. I tried different surfaces, and just couldn't find the right one. I tried redrilling it with different finger pitches(to get more lift, and I even tried reverse pitch to get less lift) It just didn't have the drive I wanted. Marshmellow ball. Sold it for $10. I now have had two bad Ebonite balls. I don't know if I will buy Ebonite again. Which makes me wonder about the new Hammers! Since then, I have been trying Storm equipment and I have been having far better reaction on the ball ( I was worried if the poor performance of the TPS was of my own doing or not, well the better performance from my Storm equipment has answered that).
