This matrix conquest was my first ball from Ebonite. Therefore I had only experienced ball from Brunswick and Columbia. Although I cannot say that I wasn't satisfied with the balls from these companies , I never had a ball with such hook power and pin action like the matrix conquest. Last friday I played the ball on heavy oil lane conditions and this ball had more hook than my teammate's Columbia Action Packed , which is made for oily lane conditions and on this site reviewed as a good ball ( 10 pins) The only thing I had to get used to , was the fact that this was a 15 lb ball. Therefore I always had 14 lb , but this has of course nothing to do with the qualities of it !

Although this ball does go long it stills hooks alot!! Had it drilled for length thinking it was going to be used on drier conditions or when my ball speed was down after a 4 or 5 game at tournaments. NO - i quickly learned i was as far left with this ball as I was when I started the night so I decided to work with it to begin the night and have not regreted it a bit!! I'm really not sure who at Ebonite advertised this as a light oil ball but I'm sure it cost them sales they would have gotten if they would have pushed this a a strong polished ball - Like maybe The ACE.

This ball is amazing. As you don't know this ball has the Apex Intensity core with a Reactive coverstock. My ball is drilled 4 1/2" pin with maximum mass bias. This ball hooks, most of the time too much. I usually play 18 board out to about 8 board but this ball I have to 25 board out to 8 board somtimes even 5 board and it stills hook too much sometimes. I prefer this ball for synethic lanes because you can enough length to get the ball down and play your normal shot. Definitely a good ball for crankers. The only bad thing is that the ball can very spartic sometimes.

The ball was drilled for a relaxed fingertip grip with the pin and cg above and below the left center of ringfinger. The bomb is positioned 1" right of lower thumb hole opening. This ball will hook when thrown properly. I had a chance to throw the ball, but only in test mode. The computer posted my speed. 14.5 mph-15.35 mph. However, I don't know what my revolutions are. When I viewed the ball from behind, it would slide, flare, and then make a left turn towards the pocket. I would assume this is how a reactive pear coverstock reacts. I am surprised that I don't see alot more reviews on this ball. Overall, very nice ball. I recommend it to anyone. update 2-18-03 This ball is great for medium oil. Not for dry conditions. It will rollout on dry as soon as you drop it. Do not use Ebonite's Extender Polish. Just use it in original box condition.

Drilled this ball 65* x 4" x 50* pin @ 12:30 to ringfinger. Started out not liking this ball cuz it didnt hook, or so i thought. Turns out lanes had been oiled 45 ft with an the outside 5 brds playing an out of bounds. Took it back to my home house for league...damn. slid threw the heads great, turned up on the backend with a strong angular motion and pounded the pins. This is a great ball for anybody, espically someone who gets a lil more than average on it, not really the ball for a fall back shot, but a great second shift ball for when the heads breakdown.

This ball explodes right out of the box. I threw 9 of Ebonite's products at a Demo Days clinic and this one felt great with one toss. The ball is very predictable with a good track to the pocket. You do need some oil or it will roll out. Shot a 3-(719), 4-(940) right out of the box. Could of had an 800 if I had given the ball more room and trusted it to recover. This is a great mid priced ball from Ebonite. This ball performed better for my game than many of the high-performance balls on the market today. Couldn't be happier!

I can't say enough about this ball.... I've had it for a few weeks now and I'm considering turning to it as my number 1 ball over my predator. This ball is forgiving enough that my mark can vary by about 4 boards and still hit strong enough to clear the pins. It definitely has a stronger hook on the backside than i was led to believe, but that was a welcome surprise. I would definitely recommend this ball for anyone who prefers to swing the ball, but as with any reactive ball, you do have to know what you're doing...it won't do every ounce of work for you

Just switched to Ebonite this week. I drilled the ball 5" pin to pap and the bomb at 25 degrees. I expected a lot of length and an even back end. Well I got an even back end but only medium length. The ball revs up early and it is smooth on the back ends. It seemed to work best playing a straighter line outside the third arrow. When I treid to open the lanes it was over/under. When Ebonite labled it for dry lanes they must have had a defective ball because it starts early and hooks too much on drier lanes. A true dry lane ball would be the Stinger LF, it goes long and doesn't hook much

I love this ball. I just bought it today and it hits harder than any of my other ebonite stuff. Its a great ball for my Wednesday night league. Its a typical house wet/dry shot. Been using my rip that gets great length for me, but have been struggling. Wanted something to roll a little sooner than my rip and hook harder than that and my spider put together. I can't wait to throw this in league. Today after I bought it, I was playing 15 out to gutter and the ball came back and hit like a truck.
