Dyno-Thane Elixir Pearl Bowling Ball

(4 reviews) Write a Review

The Dyno-Thane Elixir Pearl features the same tri-stack design as the original Elixir. A dense iron oxide "Dyno-Sphere(tm)" inner core is used to create a lower Rg (2.525) for consistency in mid-lane reaction enhancing the backend hook. Encompassing this core is a pearlized GT(tm) (Gripping Technology) particle coverstock for more ease through the heads, added traction in the oil and an exceptional backend reaction. The surface of the GT(tm) cover stock can be easily adjusted with polishes, sandpaper or Scotchbrite(tm) for a specific reaction on most lane surfaces.

This ball is great when the lane oil starts to carrry down. I usually take this ball out when the heads are oily and backend is dry and then the oil starts to carry down. Usually with this type of oil pattern it tends to get tricky But never had an over/under reaction with this ball.I also notice this is a great ball for medium oil conditions. This one of the better pearlize balls I have ever use. I tend to stay away from pearlize balls, just because I tend to slide through the heads with them and don't get very good ball reaction. This ball is one of my favorite pearlize balls that I ever had rating up there with The Trition Heat , Sonic-X and the Blue Pearl Hammer.

This is a 14 pound ball that was drilled with the pin a bit right and over ring finger and the cg kicked out and a weight hole. This may have been a bad drilling but this ball magnified every mistake I made. I felt like it was laughing at me. It skidded on the oil and then tried to turn around at me when it hit the dry. Major skid flip. Carry was also poor as the entry angle was so severe I couldn't carry a thing. It also only flared 2 inches when everything else I have flares 5 inches +. Oh well.

This is by far my best bowling ball I ever had and I average 220 Plus in 3 houses. This ball has excellent backend and will recover from anywhere on the lane. I must have had 3 300's and 2 800's with this ball in less than 1 1/2 years. State Tournament on a tough oil carrydown shot i had a 783 Series. You can use this ball on Medium-Heavy,Medium, and Medium-Light making this ball your number 1 ball. This is the biggest backend ball you can buy that is polished factory. If im going to war with 3 balls i have the Elixer Pearl and Monster Screamer in my bag. I suggest you buy this one now and laugh at the idiots who are struggling with backend and carrydown. I see it happen every week to people, washouts and corner pins. I laugh and throw a 5 bagger to win all the pot games. This ball doesn't leave washouts and corners if you turn the ball.<

Consistent roll. Great hook on the backend. Very versitile ball. Lots of power into the pocket. Works good on heavy oil condtions when sanded. Works good on medium to dry when polished. Has a lot of snap on the backend when polished. I use this ball on just about any lane condition. I really like this ball. This ball has real nice roll all the way down the lane. There are some things that I do not like about this ball though. Burns up to fast. Takes on oil fast. Needs refinished sooner than other balls. Overall this is a good ball.
