This ball is not intended for heavier lane conditions, and is a relatively cheap ball, seeing as I only payed about $60 for mine. Do yourself a favor, and buy a different ball, because this is so hard to work with, and it isn't worth it. This will very rarely carry the 10 pin. It does not rev up at all, and even though it's cheap, it's not worth the money. Go buy a roto-grip, or a lanemasters. If your going to be using this to learn to hook, it's fine, but anything aside from learners, please, steer clear.

I don't know if I can make the 100 word minimum but the ball is well worth the money. It performed great on wood and going to synthetic was a little different. It didn't have a big problem finding the pocket once I was able to determine the right line. Also throwing the ball with less speed on the synthetic helped. I am not familar with the drilling pattern. The driller said that it would go down and in and that's about what it did. There was no great backend hook it just kept heading for the pocket. It was drilled finger tip.
