(6 reviews) Write a Review

The HyJinx was created by surrounding a single density core with a strong reactive coverstock - the Big Flip Strong. This exciting cover is designed to combat medium/dry lane conditions with length and a very strong move on the backend. The HyJinx combines the Big Flip Strong with low RG and a lower flaring (.031 diff.) core to further strengthen its dry lane performance. The HyJinx comes in two stunning colors: Red and Amber Pearls. The HyJinx is available weights of 10 to 16 lbs.

This ball is okay, but I'm glad it is discontinued. It is okay to have in the bag as a back-up, but I would not rely on it to perform on a heavily oiled condition. This ball just doesn't seem to fit my style of play. I guess if you have a slower ball speed it might be okay. I have gone to the Ebonite SR300 as my primary ball and it is awesome. It is to bad Ebonite discontinued that one. I am looking at buying the Ebonite RXS 300 and making it my primary. If you need an affordable ball that may be okay for entry level bowlers than the HYJINX is okay. If you are looking for performance then forget it. It just doesn't seem to hit very hard.<scri

i bowled my very first 300 with this ball, but its very condition specific. I like this ball on medium-heavy oil because i get more length out of it down the lane before it SNAPS toward the pins. If i miss anywhere inside, i leave the 3-6-10 alot, but if i miss outside, this ball rolls out and dies. I thought i was getting a ball for dry lanes, but it turns out that this ball hooks more than my action or icon 2. Good strike ball if you can find a consistent line to play. I don't recommend this ball to anyone who is just starting out using fingertip.

Ball specs. 15lbs 3oz. tw2.5ozs. 2inch pin. Ball is drilled 3 and 3/8 by 2 and 5/8.This gives me good length and a control turn to the pocket. I have used this ball for 9 games now and have been pleasantly surprised at the great carry i get when it hits the pocket.I still leave some 10 pins but it seems to kick pins hard on half hits or light hits. With this ball i am not leaving solid 8's or 9's which has been a problem for me on light conditions. This is not a ball for heavy or medium oil but its not made for it. If you are struggling on a light condition try this ball

I laid the red/amber pearl Hyjinx out 5" x 3 5/8" pin x cg to PAP. I wanted this to be the ball I take out of my bag near the end of the tournament. This ball does EXACTLY what I intended it to do. Very clean through the fried heads with a smooth, powerful breakpoint motion. The new Big Flip Strong coverstock proves so far to be a winner in my book, I can't wait to see it on future Columbia releases. I compared this side-by-side to my Wrath, and saw about 5-6 boards less overall hook in the Hyjinx. I've also seen people use more aggressive layouts, and it reminds me of the classic, Messenger Ti Pearl with a midlane read and move off the breakpoint. Every bowler needs a ball like this in their bag. Check back at www.BuddiesProShop.com soon for the video for this ball.

This ball moves..... There are not a lot of ways for me to drill a bowling ball due to my extremely high track, so my normal is the pin at list 5" from the PAP and I drilled this ball with a pin to PAP distance of 5 1/2 inches giving me just a little more length down the lane. This ball with the weight block and coverstock and the RPMs that I put on the ball tear up a house pattern. right out of the box i threw this ball on my houses normal pattern that was just laid out for our fall lane inspection and it was just a wow out of the box. goes down the lane and uses a turn signal to warn the pins that it is making a turn to the pocket. pin carry is great and it is a awesome ball i cant wait for leagues to start so that i may fine tune this ball for later. great ball for a house shot for a high rpm bowler.
