My LIKES on this ball is the ENERGY stored for hitting power. This ball blows the pins clear to the back - 10 in the pit !!! My knowledge based on the typical house shot (bowling in 2 different houses) is the fact that I can stand 5 right - throwing 17 left - out to about 10 left and completely destroy the rack!! My tuesday night league uses a longer pattern where I can SPANK the ball a little on the bottom of my release and get the reaction needed. Currently, this ball is first out of the bag until my transition point which is about the 4th frame in the 2nd game - thats when I switch to my MONSTER or my ICON 300 (depends on the shot) ..... but that another story on OPRAH (try reading those write-ups)

TEC2 coverstock is an improvement over original TEC, but still has the same caveat: Sand it and it will die. Don't, make that >DON'T< use sandpaper on this ball, or any other particle ball. ScotchBrite is the way to go, because it's softer and doesn't shear off the particles. That being said, this is a genuinely nice ball. Drilled to go long, it makes a nice hard turn and consistently chucks messengers around. It's great for playing light in the hole for this reason. Wish I had more time with it, but it isn't mine....and I have an Absolute Inferno now anyway, so all other balls are now obsolete.

Well, I walked into the proshop where stormed 299 worked. While my wife was bowling in her league. After talking to stormed 299, I decided to purchase the ball. I wasn't too keen on the coverstock, because of the "TEC death". I had him drill it for length and heavy back end. After my wife's league was over, I threw the ball down and in on the second arrow. It has a very smooth reaction. It fits my arsenal perfectly. This is really my benchmark ball. It's also become my I'm drunk, I can't find a line I'll try second arrow with the BEASTMASTER. Very good ball, price was right, Can be thrown on anything but bone dry.

i got this ball at a tent sale for $40 and had it drilled up to replace my first icon. i didnt think it would be such a strong ball. Yet it was and i didnt see it coming. i knew it was going to work for me because it was a inverted bulb core with a low partical cover and i was always able to use the older stuff better then some of the newer stuff. anyway i used it for a while then i didnt find a shot to use it on for a while untill i was able to find a shot at league and shot a 276 with it. Then it was but away for a while. Then highschool season came up and i used it there. was very pleased that it didnt track out witht he amount of use i had given it lately. i did have to resurface it and witht hat i have changed it finish. will update soon on how it works now.

This is a ball for me when the lanes are medium oil, I just throw this ball at this one particular house that uses medium oil conditions. This is not recommended for above medium oil conditions, or dry lane conditions. This is a very forgiving ball, I can miss my mark up to 3 boards and still recover for the pocket shot. I have recommended this ball to friends and family. My next ball will be for the dry lane conditions and no doubt it too will be a Columbia 300 product as well. Well, have fun and bowl well.

What a ball! I just got it today and am beyond impressed. I'm left handed and play from the center dot over the first arrow and in the left pocket. This is the first ball I have owned. I used a urethane ball for one league season and chose to purchase the beast master for my second league season. The first shot with this ball was a strike followed by three others. I am stll adjusting to it so my spare count wasn't really high. But I ended up bowling a 209, followed by a 187 and a 190. Excellent choice for a ball. The guy who did the drilling did a perfect job. I recomend this to anyone. I will post more information if I find any problems with it.
