I like rolling this right after my rock on ate up some of the heavier stuff. and this baby fits right it. and could play with it until i tire out. same shot. no prob. its drilled just as plain as can be. and its just about perfect. pull it and itll hold get it outside a little and shell pick up. hits pretty darn good. i wont say that any ball really hits hard its all where you place it. or well maybe its just me. and why does this have to be 100 words nobody ever reads this

I had this ball back when I was in youth leagues from spring of 2001 until spring of 02. This ball allowed my to play around the corner so I had an advantage against alot of bowlers at the time the ball got down the lane amazingly easy and crushed the pocket every single time and it was very forgiving. Rock Pearl also had good carry light hits went down without a question heavy hits on the side however I was more likely to leave a split or something like that. I had the pin over and between ring and middle finger mass bias out about 1/1 - 2 inches from my thumb hole (to this day one of my favorite drill patterns.) All in all this ball was an animal and I am forever grateful for the edge it gave me when I needed it the most. GO COLUMBIA!<scr

Hands down the best columbia ball ever made in my book. I am the type of bowler that loves to see a ball come screaming back into the pocket with pretty much nothing but backend. This ball would do that even with my fast ball speed. I have a lot of other balls that are supposed to be a big hooking ball, but sometimes just roll out. This ball has never done me wrong and i dont throw it much anymore because i am afraid it will, but still hands down my favorite columbia ball ever!!!! I have to thank my friend ryan for this one b/c he is one of the other people that have posted a tremendous review for this ball, and anyone who say they dont like this ball are either just not good bowlers, or they cant handle its massive power.

Well after my previous weeks experience with the Blue Triton i thought i'd pull the 'Fairway Metal' out of the bag this week instead of the '3 iron' I'd had a few games on this leauge shot with the leverage drilled EMB pearl(The Driver), it's strong roll in the mids was a bit much for the leauge shot. The Rock with it's 5 x 3.5 layout is a much better choice when the right side has opened up, early in the set i had a good look outside 10 going to the ditch and back, after a game and a half it got too strong at the breakpoint to use there so i shifted to 4th arrow to catch the head oil, with a good deal of 'lane help' anything from 10 to to the 2-3 board was in the hole. The particle surface hepled the ball roll up strong where the Triton had kept going long the week before if the speed was a little higher(partly to a release that wasn't giving me much room for error, not the balls fault) On a carrowdown condition on synthetics the week before this ball was not a good choice, this is w

a great great great hard hitting ball. massive hook that only a good bowler could control. this ball hooked so much that it gave me the problem to break my wrist but i got used to it finally. it was the first ball that i didnt have to cup my wrist and was the first one that i had lots of hook knowing how there is huge amounts of oil on the left side. i bet you can tell i am just saying stuff to waste time well anyway i got my first 279 with this ball in my first year of bowling

I like this ball on nice oily lanes but when the lanes are dry you better watch out because she really loikes to to go and if she goes there are no chance that she is going to stay short. the ball does go down on a nice oily lane and hit hard but honestly where can you find a nice oily lane any more. if you buy this ball I recomend you take off a little tilt and try to throw it down the middle a little harder than normal, that is what I did and that is the only way that I could get the ball to hit hard and go through with the shot

This ball seems to be the ball I always wind up using. I seem to have a problem finding the right condition to use this ball on. As of now i use it on med-heavy wood lanes, or spotty conditions on the synthetic. It has a huge break towards the pocket once it hits the dry. However, it will get down the lane good before making its break when you find the oil. I like this ball a lot for the conditions at my house. I got it in a trade with my friend for a rock on. That ball was dead in 3 weeks.

Drilled this ball with the pin below the ring finger and th CG kicked out to the positive side, just below the midline. This ball is clean through the heads and has a good transition but it seems to me that it needs a predictable oil pattern to reach its maximum performance. When the shot was right for it, it hits HARD and carries well but for me the lanes got too dry for it after about 1 1/2 games and it got to jumping too early. May have something to do with the drill pattern on it. Tec2 shell lets it be strong on the backend without that sudden "jerk-snap" reaction you get with some really shiny reactives. Good ball Columbia but a little condition specific for me.
