Columbia 300 Blue Beast Bowling Ball

The best buy in a high performance, non-reactive 2-piece urethane ball. The Blue Beast overcomes dry heads and wet/dry conditions when the reactive Besat is too aggressive. Modestly priced, the Blue Beast surface can be easily polished to reduce hook.

When I purchased this 15lb ball off a friend of mine and had it redrilled it became the best ball in my bag. I always owned columbia equipment. I had the black U-dot the wine U-dot and many others. This was the first ball that gave me my first 807 series with urethane hard to do these days (using urethane) This ball was great for dry heads I could play down the boards and it would set up nicely into the pocket. Im not a cranker but i can hook the ball when i need to. I used this ball for a few years i loved it. Wish i could find one for sale

Monte Carlo ball. Had a 16 lb. shipped in Q2 2019 and got to throw some league sets and practice before the shut downs. I call it a Monte Carlo ball because it's easy to find the pocket with when the lanes are playable and has decent carry, but, as a 2-piece ball, it usually splits on the nose. I have even left 3-4-6-7-9-10s, so if you bowl in Monte Carlo and they don't have decent bonuses for strike streaks, put this thing through the face and see if you can rake in dough converting tough designs it leaves. When its surface is polished or more finely sanded, it has more length than most urethanes. I was able to tug it on a 44' shot and have it sit there with a total hook of under 2 boards even though I spun the crap out of it. Coverstock is quite durable, unless the ball returns get cruel and start taking chips out.

This is my current favorite ball. I bought it second hand early this season. It has given me many 200 games. I generally use a low speed, medium rev throw from the 2nd arrow. This makes for a good down and in shot. If the lanes are too oily, a straight hard shot into the pocket works well. I am surprised this ball is not more popular, as it is a good urethane ball. It will hook as much as my Tropical Storm if the lanes are right. It is fun to use; when it breaks into the pocket, you can hear it go BAM! BAM! as it rolls over the thumbhole! It seems to be quite similar to a Pirahna, but with a little less hook. *Beware!* This ball looks very much like a Blue Hammer!
