Layout: 65° x 4 ¾” x 45° When laying out this ball, I was looking for what my dull pin down Versa Max gave me, but with a little more kick in the back. The fact that I was looking to replace the dull Versa Max is why we changed the surface to 2000. Also, I didn’t have a pin up dull symmetric ball in my lineup, and the LT-48 seemed to be a good candidate for it (plus, it being at 2000 really makes it look like the original one). Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I threw it for the first time. However, I was blown away after seeing what it did on the lane. While these too words don’t often go together, I can only describe this ball as smooth and strong. Even at 2000, it gets through the heads, and actually has really good flip in the back. I’ve used this on short sport patterns, and house shots. In both cases, it provided predictable roll and backend reaction (don’t confuse predictable with lacking, because this ball does not lack neither projection, nor down lane reaction). I mainly compared this ball to my pin down dull Versa-Max. This ball reminded me a great deal of that ball, with the main difference being stronger and a little more angular in the back, due to the difference in layout. --The opinions expressed are solely those of the writer and not of Brunswick Corporation--
