Went looking for a bit more midlane and overall reaction from this with my fav layout. Conditions a few months ago didnt really suit this and it sat in a box, now thats sorted out this ball is my no.1 leauge weapon so i can leave the particle stuff in the locker. On our(still!) century 100 oiled lanes this means heading inside(standing 30) and trusting the thing(mainly on the always dryer 1 and 2), this doesnt hold pocket when you yank it left a little!!! get it on line and you will find a little hold, get it right it will recover and arc hard to the pocket. On some tighter pairs( 3 and 4 most often) head up 10 trust it and watch it roll up when pearl balls are getting a little skaty. No wonder the BVP line is a winner, so many people are looking for their old Zone rolls, guess what? the originals can still hang tough, even 8 yrs later.<s

GOT THIS ONE OFF THE USED BALL RACK AT ONE OF THE CENTERS I BOWL IN. NEEDED RESURFACING ONLY. GOOD PIN-2", 15#. ORIGINAL LEVERAGE DRILL, JUST HAD TO MOVE THE THUMB. LOCAL TOURNAMENT LAST WEEKEND SHOT 739(235,300,204) OOPS 2 SPLITS OFF POORLY THROWN BALLS . EVERYONE AT THE TOURNEY WAS ASKING WHAT BALL I WAS USING. CARRIED LIGHT , FLUSH AND MESSENGERS. I CAN READ ITS BALL REACTION , VERY PREDICTABLE FOR ME. LOOKING FOR ANOTHER IN GOOD CONDITION OR THE TRACER PEARL. I LIKE THE CORE COVERSTOCK COMBINATION. ITS REACTION REMINDS OF MY WAYNE WEBB PEARL. STONG CONTINUOS HARD ARC. I WELCOME MYSELF BACK TO BRUNSWICK. MY FIRST BALL WAS A SPEEDZONE.<scri

I got this ball because at the time i needed an agressive ball that arced. It didn't fit the bill. Even though I'v had it re-drilled to match two different arc patterns, it really burns out fast when the oil isn't JUST RIGHT. As a power player, I can't be worrying about over / under on a ball that is suppose to go long (which it doesn't either). Its only redeaming quality is that when it comes up hard, the ball likes to go deep (just don't hit light... its footprint through the pins can cause alot of tapped 7 and 10's)

Overall I really didn't like this ball very much. When it hit the pins it just sounded nasty. I believe this ball should probably used on more medium to dry lanes, oil don't even thing about it, it'll just flop out. The ball did have a predictable roll on it, but it just did not carry very well at all. I believe the tracer was alot nicer ball in my opinion and had alot better reaction to the pins. However this ball wasn't all bad. I believe a stoker or someone that does not through the ball very fast would enjoy this ball and would be more suited to them. A cranker though would just likely get upset with this ball. All in all it is a decent ball, there are alot better balls out there though, Even in it's time better balls were being produced. I don't think any Zone could/can compare to the original. Now that was a champ.

I am a right hander and I have this ball drilled at 2 oclock and the pin is 3 inches out. I stand at the 20 board and I throw down by the 5 board and it comes back with no problem.I throw my ball about 18 mph with 22 revolutions and this ball hits so hard it is unbelieveable. The first time I bowled with it, I bowled 200's like crazy. If you bowl in a house that has dry lanes this is not the ball for you, because I have a hard tim with oily lanes.

I haven't thrown it for a while but thanks to the 'old man' giving the game away i'll soon have a chance to throw this beauty again. It was drilled with the pin above the ring finger(right handed)stacked over the cg. Medium oil with some room outside and clean backends are this balls favourite stompin' grounds. Playing up the boards around 3rd arrow kept it in the oil for length and the dry backends let it flip and hit with force. Taking it a board or 10 left and 'cutting it loose' across the lane gave a hard skid/flip reaction, along with some impressive solid 9's. Playing this line while staying behind the ball and giving it some hand resulted in an earlier and more controlled(but still quite strong) breakpoint and impressive carry. I'm only a month away from getting hold of it again and then it's a resurface and a new thumb slug away from being back in the bag. Will post another review then with hopefully more good results
