Brunswick Ringer Platinum Pearl Bowling Ball

Cover Stock: The CPT – Flip / Chemical Projection Technology Flip reactive coverstock describes our newest formulation for a low friction coverstock. The benefits of using our Chemical Projection Technology allows us to produce a less aggressive reactive coverstock that easily projects down the lane on medium to light oil lane conditions. Core: The Ringer Medium RG symmetrical core features top and bottom offsetting flip blocks over a centered mass. This core design promotes skid through the front, stability through the mid-lane and flip on the backend. Ball Motion: With its Royal Shine box finish, the Ringer Platinum Pearl will skid longer with a quicker response to friction at the breakpoint than the Burgundy Ringer. The Ringer Platinum Pearl is great ball for rev dominant and slower ball speed players on light oil conditions.

Layout: 55° x 5" x 35° Any ball that followed the Burgundy Ringer had its work cut out for it. The Platinum Ringer definitely lived up to expectations. I found that both balls have the same overall amount of hook, with the Burgundy’s being more upfront (at least compared to the Platinum), and the Platinum was all in the back part of the lane. This ball gives me a new option when the pattern blows up and I need a different look to the 85° Aura that I have. The amount this ball hooks in the backend, you would think it would be at a higher price point. I compared this ball to the Burgundy Ringer, 85° Aura, and the Meanstreak Brawler. Compared to the Burgundy, it was much cleaner and a lot more angular. Compared to the 85° Aura, it wasn’t as sharp off the spot, but gave a much more predictable reaction for when the heads were gone, but there wasn’t a super defined hook spot to throw it to, which is when the 85° Aura really shines. Compared to the Meanstreak Brawler, I found that they were similar when using the Brawler on the fresh and the Platinum on the burn. --The opinions expressed are solely those of the writer and not of Brunswick Corporation--
