Brunswick Raging Inferno Bowling Ball

A particle ball with Reactive backend. A shiny ball that hooks. The Raging Inferno shatters preconceived boundaries by using Brunswick’s new Activator coverstock as a base for our next generation particle ball. The Raging Inferno’s Activator coverstock is transformed by the addition of particles creating a ball reaction that is more aggressive than the original Inferno. Activator Particle is a next generation particle coverstock that further increases traction in the oil while at the same time maintains a strong reaction to the driest boards on the lane. These characteristics produce a high hook potential ball that matches up to medium and heavily oiled lane conditions and also is effective at blending over/under ball reactions. The Raging Inferno uses a modified version of original Inferno core to produce a higher overall RG and lower differential. While still in the low RG-range the Raging Inferno’s core system is optimized to provide a more forgiving match-up to the medium-loa

First time I played with this ball I sent it back to the shop for a full polish and a re-drill to a more neutral hold. Even then it still ripped at the back end. I bowl far left over third arrow (generally) and if the oil isn't there this ball will strike on the lane to the left. Put oil down and this Raging Bull is something else. I have had this ball around 3-4 years now and it is still going strong, with good back end action. However as it has aged, the reaction in pins has become inconsistant, but generally still good. Overall a great ball.

this to me is the best ball that brunswick has ever made it skids down the lane and then snaps right into the pocket and the hitting power is incredible the sound of this ball hitting the pins is like an explosion it just crushes the pins once the raging infrno i have dies out i am definitely getting another one i cant bowl without this ball. if u have have a faster speed and higher revs u can use this ball on any type of oil shot. i used it in a tournament for when the lanes died and i won the tournament this ball saves lives

add the ball for over a year have left it in the box finish but i did try it sanded and never like it it cause the ball to burn up and have drive left when it reached the pins after about 150-200 game i had it put in that ebonite hook again thing it helped alot mostly because my driller left it in there for 2 weeks only because he forgot about it but it really helped raging inferno the best ball made by brunswick today then i finally threw my 1st 300 game with it am in the process of buying another one have until this current one dies

Overall I have to say this ball is my favorite of all time. My Crimson Execusioner will have to be second now (close second). This ball helped me get my highest game ever with a 268 and an all time high average of 192. I love this ball(second to my wife and kids though). This ball will go high however when the lanes dry. This is typical for modern balls now adays since they are usually made for medium to heavy lane conditions. It's sad to see this ball roll on to the great Brunswick graveyard along with rhino, danger Zone and quantum series. This ball will be used until the inferno goes out!<s

This ball was not made for my style (HIGH BALL SPEED W/ LOW REVS). This rating should be considered for some other particle balls since I found out recently that they are only made to be rolled in a tight-line/ straight up delivery manner like standing on 20 and throwing to 5. Not part of my game. No matter where I stood or what lines I tried, the ball almost never recovered kind of like throwing a urethane. I have a Nemesis in place of the Raging which so far hooks as advertised and even my Storm Triple Xtreme X-Factor gets a better roll. I would only recommend this ball to tight-line bowlers who have a slower ball speed than myself. Like my friend who will likely be buying this ball from me. THIS BALL IS NOT MADE FOR HIGH BALL SPEED, LOW REV BOWLERS WHO LIKE TO SWING THE BALL OUT.

Got this from the legendary ANDREW COLON!!!!!!(funny/cool/great bowler!) he didnt like it at all! so i decided to take it out of the hands of MARIO!(funny/cool/great black bowler!) since mario didnt drill it up. REACTS LIKE MAD EARLY! I havent really gotten a chance to use it, since no house really puts a HEAVY HEAVY house shot out. so i just have fun with it when i can. this, along with my Blazing Inferno, is an "extreme" so it will stay in the 2-ball tote for tourneys. its drilled with the pin above the ring finger and the CG to the right. and a weight hole on the lower right side.

Brunswick just seems to keep making great ball after great ball, and the Raging is yet another one in the Inferno line that bowlers love. My ball was drilled down ring finger (2E), and when the ball was lifted, the hook was very good and the hitting power was phenomenal. This ball is excellent for combination lanes because of the hook potential, and great for tournaments because it is very strong for a particle ball. This ball is essentially for meduim to oily conditions, but if it is dulled it turns into a ball for heavy oil. Just a great ball all around, keep em coming Brunswick.

it is a good ball but it is not for first time hook bowlers you should a less reactive ball to start off with hook like a dream on the right amount of oil if trown right you don't get meny splits if there is to much oil the ball tends not to hook plus if you hit it in the wrong place you get a lot of 7 10 slits this ball is very expesive and it can be a waste of money if you don't bowl right of every week because you don't get the feeling of the ball

This ball is very good for what I need it to do, which is to finish a little stronger than my pearl reactive ball. As with most brunswick it has excellent roll in the mid lanes and a good strong finish. It does not roll out for me so that is not a concern. This balls reaction is similar to a pearl reactive, skid / snap. 100 words 100 words 100 words 100 words 100 words 100 words 100 words 100 words 100 words 100 words 100 words 100 words 100 words 100 words 100 words 100 words 100 words 100 words 100 words 100 words

I bought this ball used off a guy who used it about 10 games and was to strong for him. I pluged it and redrilled for myself and fell in love. I was so surprice the first time i used it. Being particle i exspected an early roll and smooth arch. Boy was i wrong i threw the ball over 15 and it rolled out to the ditch made a left turn and destroyed the rack. The ball had so much back end that it took me a while to figure it out. My first night of league with it my team got a really tight pair of lanes and everyone on the lanes were playing a really tight line with out much hook. Everyone but me i was playing 15 to the ditch and just destroying the rack. Everyone one the pair was in complete aww. We even had guys from 3-4 lanes away just wondering how i could make the ball hook that much on such tight lanes. In fewer word i had a great night where everyone else struggled. The best pair was seeing how many guys showed up next week with the same ball.

I'm glad Brunswick came up with this ball. I love it! Our Bowling house just got a new lane machine and they are still working out the kinks with the condition they want to lay down. Every week has been a different shot and i have been able to find the shot every time. It just takes a few shots to find out where to throw it. I've never had a ball that i could trust to use as i can this one. When this ball hits the pocket the pins just explode off the deck. Keep up the good work Brunswick. I give it an A

The raging inferno has an overall hook rating higher than every inferno ball except the Ultimate. The problem is that the Ultimate is better due to the fact that it is solid reactive. Balls with that type of coverstocks dont burn up as much as particle balls due. The raging will due horrible on dry conditions. However if there is lots of oil on synthetic type lanes your in luck. The raging inferno will produce amazing scores on oil shots like that. The pin action is just like the original except better. If your looking for a heavy oil ball for tournament/sport shots then the raging is the one to go with.

The ball is great, made for oily lane conditions and it works great on it. The way it is drilled, it gives me good lenght, great backend, and hits the pins like a truck; keeps driving to the pocket, never rolls out. At first I did not like the ball, it did not work well at my center; then I moved to Monterrey, Mexico, and it has been nothing short of great for the conditions I play in. Right now it is my first ball out of the bag, I can play all over the lane with a variety of angles and plays great. Hoping to get the new Inferno. Brunswick hit it big with this ball GREAT ! ! !

I found this ball to be great on a dry/medium house shot however on anything more than a 2:1 shot this ball just does not work it does not recover enough on a pond and it seems to loose energy fast on a dry short oil pattern. I drilled two of them up with different types of drills and pin lengths and still have not been impressed. However my buddy shot 835 with it the other night so maybe this ball is not right for the type of player that I am. (Tweener Med/High RPM) (Medium Speed)

i is a great ball and it hits hard and it has a good backend reaction. when it hits all you hear is boom. it has a lot of hook if you have a lot of reveases you can crank the ball, and a other good thing about it is a particle ball. i is a great ball and it hits hard and it has a good backend reaction. when it hits all you hear is boom. it has a lot of hook if you have a lot of reveases you can crank the ball, and a other good thing about it is a particle ball. i is a great ball and it hits hard and it has a good backend reaction. when it hits all you hear is boom. it has a lot of hook if you have a lot of reveases you can crank the ball, and a other good thing about it is a particle ball.

I really like this ball. Its got a great surface and a great overall arc to the pocket. The most biggest part of my game is without a dought the way I can play the lanes so many different ways and with my ball speed and revs I can match this ball up to so many conditions. In my opinion you should consider this a great oil ball and contiplate purchasing it.I don't feel however you should keep its factory finish you may loose some desired backend but on the flipside if you sand it too much you run the risk of it losing its "stored" energy.

When I first got the ball, it had a significant flare potential to it. It flew on the backends and I never had any issues getting it to the pocket. The reaction wasn't anything fancy really...just got down the lane and had a strong arc. I was able to cover around 10 to 15 boards in the beginning, but following particle death, you're lucky to cover about 5 boards with this ball and with no backend reaction, it's not like I could strike with it. The weak 10 pins kept coming more and more frequently. I got rid of the ball within about 3 or 4 weeks after getting it. Unless you feel like having hook again done to this ball every couple of weeks, don't waste the money on it...go out and get something that's reliable. I shot 767 with this ball one thursday night...that was with medium head oil and dry outside of first arrow...so basically it was a wall that night. That was my 1 big moment with the ball...other than that, it was nothing but a total waste. Stay away from this one.<scri

Well, when i first got this ball it was the biggest piece of junk i had. Then i got it sanded to 320 and holy crap. It hooks. I had it drilled with the pin above the ring finger. At first it would just skid and skid and skid some more. Then i got it sanded and now its my go to ball. it has awesome skid building up energy and then unleashing it within the last 20 feet. I dont like is that is can leave alot of pocket 7-10's and MANY 10pins. But its a decent ball.

Drilled pin about and inch and a half above bridge w/ the cg kicked out from the palm. This layout gave me good length for the conditions ive bowled on and i really enjoy using this ball. The coverstock on this ball has allowed me to play on multiple lane conditions with success. This was a great development by brunswick and i hope to punch up an ultimate inferno quite soon. i was very very very very pleased with this investment and i would recommend to bowlers who like to play a straighter line because it will give them that little extra hook they need.

I've had this ball since the beginning of the season and at first this ball was very hard to adjust to because it seemed to react differently from week to week. But since mid season I have seen great results from this ball including a 299 game and have been averaging about 220 for 12 weeks. I cant say anything too negative about this ball and I would fully recommend it. On very heavy oil I cant get the ball to hook as much as I'd like to but in a medium oil setup its got great arc. <

With this ball I was looking for something for oil. I have a four inch pin. I put the pin outside my ring finger, leaving the CG close to my thumb hole. This resulted in a droped weight hole. Which makes it rev up quicker. This ball is great in oil. When the lanes carry down you gotta put it away though. Thats when I go to the Inferno. I was a little worried about resurfacing this ball with regular sandpaper, because of Brunswicks Trizac system. I used 600 grit sandpaper to find out that the new particle works great after the refinish. I found out the need of trizac paper when I refinished a Zone Pro with sandpaper. I ruined it. This ball is great for all releases, and rev rates. I highly recomend this ball for anyone.

ball hits great, carries even better. your drilling will have everything to do with this ball. it is very versitale. you can drill it to go long and then when the lanes breakdown just adjust and you can keep this ball out. taking up space from here on out. (the best ball ever the best ball ever the best ball ever the best ball ever the best ball ever the best ball ever t he best ball ever the best ball ever only if you know how to play only if you know how to play only if you know how to play only if you know how to play only if you know how to play)

15lbs, 3" Pin, drilled 4x4 pin below the fingers , x-hole below PAP. Being a huge fan of the orginal Inferno I didn't hasate to buy the Raging, and am glad i did. At first I wasn't all that impressed with the reaction, it was to similar to my Eliminator, so I took of the factory polish and sanded it 800 Grit, then it really started to shine. The Raging Inferno is very aggressive on heavier patterns, making a nice midlane move and a strong Arcing backend move. The Raging aslo handles carrydown well. With the factory polish the Raging Inferno makes a great medium/heavy oil ball, dull and it makes a great heavy oil ball.
