Brunswick Monster Bruiser Bowling Ball

Reaction Characteristics This ball is one tough customer. The steely heart of a Quantum with a thick skin of Powerkoil 18 Reactive coverstock combine to create a real brute, one tough ball. The strongest Reactive Monster to yet. Lock one up for your self soon. Reaction Setup The Monster Bruiser can be drilled using the standard drilling techniques developed for two-piece balls, see the included drilling instructions for reaction characteristics and layout details. The Monster Bruiser is finished with a high gloss surface which enhances it's appearance and reduces hooking action in the oil. High gloss finishes can sometimes cause over/under reactions, too little hooking action in the oil, then too much hooking action off the dry, which can be hard to control. To increase hooking action and smooth out the ball reaction dull the surface, first with a fine 800-1000 grit abrasive. If more hooking action and a smoother reaction is desired dull the coverstock.

For years I stayed away from Brunswick, I just didn't like them, they seemed to always be a follower. This ball changed that. I bought it used just to try it out. I plugged it and redrilled it. I kept bringing it to the lanes, but never using it. Then one day I brought a Track Arsenal Aggressive Particle along with the Bruiser. I was very dissapointed with the Arsenal, so I thought, let's try the Bruiser. Boy was I impressed. I guess I will have to start using more Brunswick equipment. Hitting Power . . . . Hitting Power . . . . Hitting Power . . . . A little fine tuning, the right grips, the proper ball finish and anything can happen !!! My Monster Bruiser is S-I-C-K . . . . I can throw that thing with my eyes closed - it rolls just that nice !!! Another one of my pieces that hits the pocket with AUTHORITY. I knocked the box finish off with a little gereen scotchbrite and I fell in love. The only problem I had was trying to find its proper place in my arsenal. It is now second out of the bag and a proud player. It hits the lanes like it knows what needs to be done. My BRUISER fits my hand like a glove thanks to my guys at the RED NELSON / GURU (Gary Parson)'s Bowler's World Pro Shop . . . . Look for the commercial the next time there is a bowling match on tv. The STRIKE BALL thrown in the commercial is the same guy that drills my equipment - Brian Skinner (Awesome Guy) . . . . YES - That was a plug !!<scrip

this ball is perfect. it is very smooth and very predictable. it is clean through the heads and has a controlible and continuos backend move. but thats not all this ball has incredible carry. out of the box this ball went about 30 feet down the lane alnd just took off (my first hook ball). that was so good that when it died (2 years later) i got another one. then i got another one when i went up to 15 pounds. but this is most likly one of the best bowling balls ever. this ball turns the pins black an blue, like a bruise ha ha ha ha ha

Decent ball to throw on synthetic or wood when other balls may not grip the lane as well. I have mine drilled 3" pin to PAP, 75 degree layout and the ball goes long and arcs hard. The ball will drive through the pin deck providing you can find the pocket. Shot is good for bowlers that do not put a lot of revolutions on release, ball revs up well in the midlane before the breakpoint. Lane must have a reasonable amount of oil and the pattern preferrably long so the ball doesn't lose energy when it gets to the pins.

The monster bruiser is an alright bowling ball. Good for bowlers who are just starting out. I wouldn't recommand this ball to any expericened bowler. If you get caught with an oily lanes you do bad. The ball leaves a nasty spilt if you miss your spot. When i first bought this ball my average was pretty low. I think it was in the 140s. But i noticed its a good ball to use for the ten pin (right handed). The ball dosent even hook that much not really a good ball to count on. The ball didnt even hit the pins that hard you have to throw the ball really fast. Word of advice ge the Impulse Zone hits the pins much harder and its not much more money than this ball.

The Monster Bruiser is the 2nd last of Brunswick's Monster Series! Monster Bruiser ,when dulled, is matched up for medium to heavy oil lanes. Drilled for arc, its powers through oil with good impact at the end. Polished it up again to allow it to travel further as its too strong. Impact remains but tends to leave pin 10 as the angle of entry becomes sharper... The best coloured combo in the Monster Series so far. Works better on synthetic lanes for me. Drilled for early roll, it combines with my Monster SlayR, as a pair to play through my games.Value for money. Impact certainly matches high end balls!

this is my first real performance ball execpt the u-dot I was playing from the start of my "career". I got a heavy-oil 3 3/8 x hole drilling on this monster to come against my slick home shot. the ball has an early but readable breakpoint and an angular turn if thrown onto the drier parts of the lane. I was a bit disappointed when I often saw this ball not hooking at all, just slitherning into the pocket and leaving too much tens. now I got the surface worked out to 800 grit and the ball rolls much stronger and earlier. this is a great ball to put out of the bag after about 2 to 4 games or for medium oil in general

one of the best "monster" balls brunswick has come out with i think. hits very hard, rarley leaving stone 10's. when i drilled it i thought it was not going to hit as hard, but it lives up to its name. i know of someone who has polished it up to see what it would do....don't.....it takes away its power to get to the pocket and carry like it does out of the box. he now regrets doing that. i guess you have to try everything once. very awsome ball...recommended to anyone who is tired of leaving stone 10 pins and wants to carry hard

Drilled with pin out to the right of the ring finger for a little more length. My first game out the box was not to my liking so I used 800 grit polish and on my next league night look out! My Ebonite Savage Pearl was not giving me any carry so by 5th frame first game I switched to my monster. It gave me a nice consistent entry to the pocket that cleared all the pins HARD. I missed the mark twice and it left washouts. Toward the end when the heads got dry I was faced with a couple of 10 pins but it was the first time I had a consistent series. Very happy with the ball.

this ball i got so that it could be my ball i would take out first to see what the lanes are doing..this also took the place of my warrior. i wanted this ball to skid very far down the lane and then a strong hook backend. so far it has down what i wanted and have gotten even better results.. this ball has incrediable strong backend. this is a very strong bowling ball, and all you quantum fans out there like me will love this ball for control and well action. i only threw this ball at 2 bowling centers so im not sure yet what this ball can really and what not do. otherwise watch out pins!<

Bought early in Sept. Drilled with pin at 4" @ 30 deg. Out of the box, ball gave too much length with not as much back end as I wanted it to have. Spun with grey scotch-brite (about 1000 grit). Ball would still clear the heads nicely, still not as much back end as I would have liked to have seen. Back to the spinner for blue scotch-brite (about 800 grit). Now I have it! Still not as much ball as my Quantum Raven, but that's quite all right. Lately I've been using this one pretty much down and in, hitting 10 at the arrows. Clears the heads very well (as long as there's a drop of oil there, that is). After about 40 feet makes a nice smooth turn and rips into the pocket. When things get a little drier, I can give it a little swing and it wil make it back. For the most part, however, every board I swing right I lose on the back end. This ball is quite condition specific for me. Thankfully, the lanes have been set up for this one almost perfectly. As an additional plus, this ball can be eas

drilled two for customers and one for myself. didn't reallly care for this ball. i drill strictly brunswick for myself and to be totally honest i was dissapointed with this one. didn't really hit very hard and was way too much lenght for my liking. half hits hit just like that, didn't really get any weak tens out with this one. in comparison to hitting power with the inferno, the inferno is by far the better. all the customers that have drilled this ball have said that it is very lenghthy and weren't crazy about the hitting power of the ball. it is not on my reccomend list for my customers.<sc
