I like it very much. I normally play around second arrow, but this is also a good ball for far outside shots, like 2 or 3 board. No dislikes really. It didn't move as much as I expected, but it rolls nicely. One might experiment with stronger drillings. I had the pin drilled out on this one. Over all, I really like it. It has its place and purpose. I wouldn't use this if the lanes have a medium to long shot, and or medium to heavy oil. I also agree that there should be more colors on it

This ball is by far the best mid-priced ball I have ever purchased. Controllable, yet powerful at the pins. I have owned a ton of balls over the past few years and this is the only ball I have ever thrown a huge set with right out of the box - 801! I'm pretty much your average Joe of bowling - 3 games a week (if that), maybe a tournament or two a year, etc. I believe the equipment has kept me competitive and this ball is probably the best ball I have ever thrown. For my style, this is everything a bowling ball should be - I am not a big fan of buying duplicates of bowling balls, but I am really considering purchasing another one of these, as I can see this ball being the first ball out of my bag every time! Try one of these, trust me you won't be dissappointed! Better hurry though, word is that it's being discontinued:( My favorite balls over the past couple of years: Dynothane Thing Returns & Threshold Brunswick Classic, Red, and Vapor Zones Brunswick BVP Amb

As a cranker I got this ball for long oil - heavy oil sport conditions....and it is working exactly the way I was hopeing. It goes down the lane very long with a sharp arc to the pocket. The ball also is very forgiving. Little faults at the delivery don't bother it much, it still hits very hard. Another point is, that there is no over / under so far. Even on dry parts of the lane the ball doesn't loose too much energy. On dry lanes of course I can't bring it to the pocket any more, there the ball is starting to hook to early. For me excellent a ball for A LOT OF oil.

I needed a ball that reacts in the mid-lane and that wouldn't over react on the back end. I drilled it myself with the pin under the ring finger, and i stacked the CG (that means it's directly under the pin for those of you who don't know). And it has about a 2.5''-3'' pin. It picks up a good mid-lane roll like i wanted, and it isn't super aggressive on the back end. This is the ball i go to when the shot is too dry for my Vapor Zone. My only dislike is that i leave some weak 10 pins on good hits.

I drilled this animal with the pin above and in right quadrant of the ring finger with the cg kicked out about 30 degrees with an x-hole on my axis. The Ambush is a very.smooth rolling ball even after the heads have dried up. Can still send it wide at the end of the night without any fear of it overreacting or burning up. It hits very hard and carry is excellent. A great ball to cut through the carry down. Very impressive continuation for a particle ball. Last Friday in the Masters League I shot 300 with the Ambush after struggling with the Danger Zone and Vapor Zone (heads were fried). The Ambush is great for those conditions when you need a smooth rolling ball that maintains its hitting power on broken down, spotty conditions. This thing snaps out the 10 pin on half pocket hits like nothing I've eever seen before. Great job Brunswick!

Finally got the time to work with this new additiona to the BVP line. I do like this core rotation. Works well with my mid/lower track. Ball pushes through the front really well with a decent recovery. Don't push hard to the dry as it will "load-up" and kind of lay at the back. Good push allows some variation in the front of the lane. You can create 2-3 boards very easily on a house shot. Played it pretty straight around 9-12 and it reacted pretty good at the back. Arc it away and it will both recover and hit. Ball moves through the back well and does not deflect much. As it is new, have not had much opportunity to try it on different patterns yet. Will add another post once I have tried it on different patterns and surfaces.
