I use a 1970's black beauty as my spare ball, straight as an arrow, great ball, never tried to hook it, thanks for the idea, think i'll try!

THIS IS AN AWSOME BALLL I HAVE USED IT MAYBE 4 TIMES AND LOVE IT ME AND MY FAMILY GO BOWLING ALMOST EVERY SUNDAY MOURNING AND MAYBE ONCE OR TWICE DURING THE WEEK. AND I AM 14 AND JUST GETTING INTO IT. I LOVE IT. I BOWLED A 142 THE OTHER DAY AND THATS MY BEST SCORE. I ALSO HAVE A BRUNSWIC Z ZONE AND I THINK THIS BALL IS SO MUCH BETTER. THIS IS THE FIRST BALL I CAN ACTUALL GET TO HOOK. IT HITS LIKE A TRAIN WRECK. I GOT INTO SOME OF MY DADS OLD BALLS AND I LIKE THIS 1 SO MUCH BETTER THAN ANY OF HIS COLUMBIA 300 ( WICH HE HAS ABOUT NINE OF) BUT MAN THIS IS A GREAT BALL ITS ALMOST 30 YEARS OLD AND STILL WORKS GERAT.. P.S. I HAD A COULUMBIA 300 SPLIT IN HALF WHEN IT HIT THE PINS

It seems like a good starter ball as a light nine i needed a ball for a travel league so on a break i stepped out side as some one dropped it off to me well now its just in the way and i am ready for it to go the finger holes are to small and close together that it looks like the finger got drilled together at the bottom. But the surface is in great condition. i hope some one want this ball otherwise it will probably end up in the garden a decoration. I am not asking but about ten push shipping

We have this new game after our scratch league. Pot games, bowling shoes optional, MUST USE A HOUSE BALL. So the only ball close to fitting is a Black Beauty. 2nd game I play the twig and shoot 258, beat the field by 80 pins. 3rd game I get 2nd and my money back but WOW. This ball carried better than some of my "NEW" stuff. It looked like old re-runs of ABC's Wide World of Sports circa 1972. The other guys who used this ball had no problems hooking it to the pocket. A classic ball for sure. I'll be looking for one of these to help me "practice".

This ball was handed down to me with about 100 games on it. By the time I relegated it to a spare and dry lane ball, it had at least another 300 games on it. When it started to leave 8 and 9 pins, I could see that it way falling off in back, and it went to the closet with around 500 lines on it. Todays bowling ball surfaces will crack in extreme hot or cold weather conditions. These balls were left in car trunks year round, and stuck in cleaning machines to warm them up in the winter. These temp changes never seemd to affect the surface or performance of these balls. There is nothing negative that anyone can say about this "Old Ironsides" of a ball. As we said in the 70's, "Black is beautiful"!

This was one of the first balls I had used that was really up from the cheapo's back then. It would go long and have a nice snap into the one-three combo time after time till I tired and it did not. Mine was the rubber cover standard drilling. I have no Idea what the plastic covers would be like nor would I know how to tell them apart from sight. I am a stroker and got alot of 200+ games with this ball. I played on all wood lanes through out its life and probably would still be using it if not for it's disapearance.
