This is a great ball for a competitive bowler looking for a ball with a lot of versitility and hook potential. I purchised it to replace the gap between my zone classic and ultimate inferno and it worked purfictly. I have found that this ball works best playing outside angles standing between 25 and 35 board over 3rd arrow or around the track area. I also found that it doesn't work so well playing down and in, at least not the way i throw it. I have mine drlled pretty normal with maybe a little more back end than normal, but i love the way it's drilled.

Setup: pin under ring, kicked CG with x-hole to increase flare. I've been throwing the AI alomst since it was released and it has become a ball that I have a lot of confidence with. It is usually the first ball out of my bag and serves as my benchmark ball. It has proven to be a solid medium to medium-light oil ball. It gets down the lane well and makes a hard move to the pocket, typical of the newer additions to the inferno line. The shot is a meduium to meduim-heavy house shot at about 40' clean backend and tapered dry from about 7- the gutter. I typically stand about 18 play the AI over 10 and bounce off 7. The AI turns hard and runs through the rack like it isn't there. I can play straight up the 10 (oil) if I manage the ball speed. In that case, when the AI finds the dry backend I get the same hard turn toward the pocket. Second shift can be a bit of a problem if there is carrydown or burnt heads/mids. The AI will read too early and squirt in the backend. When I use this ball for

If there is anybody out there willing to by me a few more of these things i'm willing to make this the only ball I throw at any house. When I first threw my absolute out of the box, it finished following through the pins and past the nine pin. I was used to a ball with more deflection and the absolute made me bring my ball further inside to carry the nine pin. Once I did this, the pins fell with amazing power. I polished this ball so as to get it longer at a house with drier insides and it turns as it hits the 10 board and continues to finish after 100+ games. Very versatile ball, move your pointer finger in and tighten your line by 5 boards easy. I still love this ball after more games than should be put on any ball. The deep inside without much swing is insane. Across 15 out to 13 and crush the pocket. Amazing Finish. I'm going to have to say that this is easily my favorite ball. I probably have close to 500 games on it by now but it continues to be as strong as any.

I figured I should write a review on this ball since I shot an 800 with it. My Absolute has a pin position of about 5 1/2 inches with a small weight hole. So, it goes real long before it decides to break. Anyway, this ball hits so well, and hardly leaves any corner pins. Oddly enough, it tends to leave either 8 or 9 pins versus 7's and 10's. But I shot 268, 279, 255 for 802 Sanctioned series with this ball and I am quite happy with the results it gave me. Ball is very forgiving if you roll it right. For me, I can't throw it and expect for it to give me as much room as if I were to throw or loft it. But other than that, it is easy to predict the results of almost every shot thrown as soon as it leaves your hand. The breakpoint is very accurate and if you do badly with this ball, like most any other GOOD ball out there, it is because of an operator error. So, that's all I got to say about this ball. As far as I am concerned, a ball that gives me my 1st 800 series and sanctione

Mine has a 1 1/2 inch pin, drilled pin under ring finger, cg a little out. On THS, once I find my strike line I've got at least 3 boards at the arows to hit and it'll clobber the pins. Carries a lot of off hits, too, whether light or low. Put it into the oil, send it out to the dry and enjoy the carry. I've been able to move more inside and use more of the lane, and I don't really seem to have a problem with transition. Just small moves as the night goes on and it continues to hit. It is a liitle squirrely sometimes when we go practice and the lanes are really dry, but on the THS fresh oil it is superb.

I purchased this ball after having my other ball stolen at the end of last season. I liked the reviews the ball got on this website. I 'm a lefty and throw a hook over the second arrow. Last year I averaged 189 (196 with this ball over the last five weeks). This year I've been a lousy sandbagger as I established my three week average at 222. I'm currently at 211 and I believe I can maintain that average this year. I've had one week in which the ball hooked like crazy but after doing a 2 minute clean starting the last game I got back on track. I've learned that I need to throw the ball in the cleaner every other week to keep the hooking under control. I couldn't be happier with this ball and would like to thank the crook that stole my other ball. You won't regret buying this ball<s

I haven't like brunswick since the danger zone. Then everyone was talking about this ball and I went out got one and haven't averageed under 235 with it on med oil. It is still a good ball on heavy oil but there are better. I am also looking at the smokin inferno but it's said to be for med - dry and I have tons of those already. I lay it down about 25 and roll through 15 to 6 and this ball comes screaming back and destroying the pocket. I just wish they had a heavy oil bowl for extreme heavy long oil but they don't.

This ball was extremely good on medium lanes, but however i would recommend polishing it. I drilled this ball up for an early roll but i would however recommend a more backend reaction. I have rolled numerous 240 + games with it, it has been good to me. The coverstock on this ball is great, and not to mention the unbelivable carry of this ball. HITS HARD!!!! On our league shot i bowl over 3rd arrow out to the 5th board on the right. I thow it aprox.. 16-18 mph. All around great ball but i think that the smokin inferno will be much better and will definitely be better for your game!!!!

This ball is one of my favorite Infernos so far. If you like the Original Inferno you will love this ball. This ball has great mid lane pick up and carries even better than any B ball I have ever thrown. This allows me to open up the lanes and play different lines and angles than I could before. I could play from 35 to 17 out to 10, I could flatten out my hand and play from 15 to 10 out to 7, or play on between that. I got this ball drilled with the pin next to my ring finger and down some, and cg is on the middle of my grip. This is not only my favorite B ball right now, it is my favorite ball overall. ¡Viva la nación de Brunswick! <scrip

This ball was crazy. It had MajorHook. This ball use to crush the pins. This ball use to hit very powerful. It was my favorite ball at one point, now it just sits in my closet. Just sitting there collecting dust, atleast its not collecting every ounce of oil off the lanes anymore! If you want a ball to be good for 30 games than go pick this ball up. It soaks up all the oil and just dies out over time. It was a huge dissapointment for me. I picked up this ball hoping it would be as good as the Ultimate. I was DEAD wrong. The Ultimate is 100 times better. Brunswick should discontiue this ball ASAP. But can blame brunswick because they came out with three great balls recently. Scorchin Inferno, Vapor Zone, and Strike Zone.

I bought 8 balls this yr (big blue, big blue pearl, WMB, total annihilation, switch blade, ultimate inferno, big block diesel, and the Absolute) and this is by far the best ball in my arsenal...i fell in love with this ball as soon as i got it. the specs on the ball are a 3 inch pin under the ring finger with a little kick for added arc. This ball just kills pins, About a week ago i tried it out on the sport shot at my local house a shot patrick allen called "much tougher than the PBA masters shot"(PA is a local from down here so he stopped in to watch) this ball just opened up the lanes for me i had the 2 of the 4 highest games of the night with a 209 and a 213....the high average in the league is 190 and this ball just opened up the lanes for me. even on a house shot this ball is incredible...it takes absolutely no effort to throw and if it touches the head pins you will carry....i wanted to review this ball badly so that nobody would buy it so that i could have an advantage bu

Someone close to me won Bowler of the year in my area, and this was one of the prizes given, but she wasn't interested, so I readily took it off of her hands..... Here is my Review as of now..... Ball Specs: 16Lbs, 3.2 oz Top Weight 3"-4" Pin Lay Out: Pin 2 inches right and 1/8 inch up from fingers CG in Center of my Grip I left the box finish on the ball so that I could make any changes if need be, after I threw it. Out of my Bag I shot a 649 for 3 games. The Condition was Wet/Dry. The response from this ball was awesome. It read the lanes great for me with a consistently smooth reaction. I was able to play from 12 out to 6, and anywhere inbetween, without sacrificing my score. The hitting power of this ball is amazing, wether it be a 10 in the pit shot, or a mixer, the pins kept falling as long as I stayed with the ball. The only thing that I noticed was that if I decreased my speed and hit a dry spot the ball would hook up sooner, and hit lighter, which resulte

This ball rolls very nice and has a gradual turn for me. It does not snap violently when it starts to hook, but when it starts hooking, you better have thrown it where you wanted, because it will move. I usually play up the second arrow to the 2-3 board, but with this ball I am playing over the third arrow and rolling out to the 2-3 board. Overall, I really like the smooth reaction of this ball. It doesn't roll out on me, or never flip over. I have had some nights where I made bad shots, but where my other equipment would have just kept skidding, the Absolute Inferno actually turned over and began to make a move.

Background: I averaged 226 this year, mostly using a Forest Quantum (circa 1994.) Before this, the newest ball I had was a Slate Blue Quantum. I normally travel with 4 balls, and because of this one, I can cut that to 2 (Absolute Inferno and Blue Dot.) If the new USBC has any teeth when it comes to equipment, the first thing they should do is make this thing illegal. After 3 "get acquainted" games, I shot 279-248-247. The ball requires no effort to throw, always comes back, and downs all the pins.....I left only one 10-pin in 6 games! Only time I had any trouble was when I backed off the speed and left a split (my own fault.) Last night (July 5) was my final night of ABC action: 243-300-255 for a personal-best 798. Thanks to Craig Vogel of Rising Scores Pro Shop at King Pin Lanes in Rome, I have leaped into the modern era!

well i bought this ball mainly because i wanted another ball to replace my blaze that would go long and then hook up like it did. well this ball wasnt really the ball ot try to do that with. this ball seems to always wanna snap up early which means some 6 pins 4's and 7's with this ball. ive been throwing this ball for about two months bowling at least 5 days a week with 6 games on those days. well this ball has still yet to hold a consistant reaction on a house shot. on sport shot this ball is truely different. it saves all of its energy for the backend and uses it to send pins flying high and low to take out almost anything. if you need a ball to go long on certain sport shot patterns this ball could be the one for you but if you are looking for something to bowl on a typical house shot i suggest the inferno since it is much more versitile than this ball

This ball is a great addition to the inferno line. I was lucky enough to get one before they were released to the general public and I was not dissapointed. I had the ball drilled with the pin directly centered and above the finger holes with a positive balance hole (Same technique used by Brad Angelo) so far I've bowled a high game and series with this ball (and an ebonite optyx for spares) of 278/713. This is definitly worth the money and compliments my Inferno and Blazing Inferno very well. If you are considering buying one, go for it, you won't regret it.

this ball is a must for any serious bowler. besides the fire and smoke inferno, this ball is the most consistant rolling ball i have ever thrown. since getting it 2 months ago, have thrown 3 300 games (2 back to back) 2 800 series, and 3 games of 289. as stated earlier, the absolute inferno is a very clean ball through the heads, and has good backend throughout the night. but don't expect this ball to make a large jump in the dry. try this ball, you will be glad you did! i have switched to throwing all brunswick equipment, and this ball fits in well with the rest of the inferno line!

This ball just flat out kills the pins. With only 16 games on the AI I have shot a 290 & 278 game, 727 series. These are my best games & series ever in 30 years of bowling. Avg. was 189 & now is climbing to 200+. Lane conditions have varied from fresh oil to drier with carry down. I just adjust my position on the approach to match the ball to what the lanes are doing. When I miss to left the ball holds and carries the Brooklyn strike. If I miss my target to the right no problem this ball finds the pocket. If you are looking for a new ball I give the AI a 10+.
