I ordered this ball to play in dry lanes... I drilled it with the pin between the 2 fingers and I left the CG in the center of my grip. When I first used it, it didn't hook! My spare ball was hooking more than that! I passed a white pad on it and it begun to hook a little bit. What I love about this ball is that I can play between the gutter and the first arrow almost every where I go. It gives me a great advantage because nobody play this line! When the lanes are very dry and nobody can pass the heads, I take out this ball and I play way right of everybody else!

The AZO Fantasy X Reactive, on light to medium short oil patterns, is a scoring machine! Oil longer than 35-45 feet, not so much fun! According to the diagram listed above, this ball has the same core as the Fantasy X solid, however, in reality, it is a modified 3 piece which means this ball doesn't have the old AZO crack at the pins-sending them into orbit and leaving hard to convert slits like a normal-2inch thick 2 piece would. Instead, this ball has a very readable flip to the hole which simply moves pins into each other resulting in exeptional carry on it's short oil, thin vicosity condition!

This is a 14 lb ball. Starting top weight of 3.5 ounces and a 3 inch pin. I drilled it pin an inch right of ring finger and cg a tad right of span center. This ball is a skid flip monster! Very good length and a huge move on the backend if there is dry. The move was too abrupt for me. I emailed AZO Rep and he recommended a hole on PAP to tame the backend. (Thanx for your time! you're a credit to your company!) After the weight hole the ball was still skid/flip but much more controlable. The ball hits very well. Once you nail down the breakpoint the ball just shreds racks. The only downfall is that the breakpoint is tough to control. If you can control this ball, you will strike. <

If u like skid/flip then you'll like this ball, cause u get control along with it, its like having 2 balls in one!. Ball handles just about everything short of heavy oil and extreme dry, but thats why theres other balls, that are designed for those conditions. This is also one attractive looking ball, with the black and gold mixture. All three Fantasy-X's make a great 3 ball arsenal, and cover many lane conditions, if u liked the original, then get your hands on these 2 and u won't be disapointed. As for drilling, if u drilled all these the same this ball would go the longest of the three, and the Fantasy-X Super Carbon being the earliest.

I laided this ballout with the same drilling as my other AZO balls, with a little twist. The pin was a little longer so I put it over my ring finger with the CG kicked out about 1 1/4" from the grip line. I threw this ball next to the Red Fire and the Fanasty X Super Carbon, and this ball when just as long as the Red Fire, but gave me more snap to the pocket. Compared to the Red Fire, the Fanasty X Pearl gave me 2-4 boards more, depending on the lane condition. The Super Carbon read the lane a couple feet earlier and gave a smoother transition. I tested this ball on a Medium-Heavy oil sport shot, and the ball was a little over/under with this layout. I think this will be a great ball for those bowlers that are looking to try AZO, and like Skid/Flip type reactions. If you have any questions, please email me.

If you are looking for a reactive resin ball that is predictable and hits like a truck, this is the ball. This ball is about control with not suprises. It goes long and turns to the pocket with an even, controlled arc to the pocket. I could play one or two boards inside or leak the ball out two boards and it still came back to the pocket. When the heads are light medium to dry, this ball rips the pocket with ease. Practicing with this ball for the first time, on a blocked condition with an easy house shot, I threw the first twenty seven strikes. The ball gave me that famous AZO pin action and sound when it hit the pins. I love this ball!
