i drilled with the factory finnish right out of the box with teh pin right above the ring finger and it plays well on the most dry of condintion i have seen with in expecially when the head break down but the carry still sucks. i have the vise grip vac-u-grips in it so the ball flies off my hand and does not over rev. i have not tried it on any oil, but that is not what i had got it for the. if you are having trouble on a dry shot and need to make it through a shift this ball could diffenetly workand the price makes it nice.
