AMF FireHawk Super/C Bowling Ball

(4 reviews) Write a Review
The Fire Hawk Super/C features a smaller, higher revving Ceramic core and new Mica enhanced Super MAG Reactive coverstock. The Super MAG coverstock is 3-5 points softer which allows this pearl to have a larger foot print in heavier oil while still providing an aggressive backend reaction. The Ceramic core provides a lower Radius of Gyration and a higher spin rate to pick up earlier with stronger mid lane performance. The density of the Cermanic core also creates a higher Coefficient of Restitution, resulting in powerful distribution of collision energy and greater carry.

Great ball for the money. Once I settled in and made some adjustments the ball performed as expected. First game out of the box was a 163. With some adjustments and tweaks I was able to carry a 208 for the evening. Recommend it to anyone willing to change their game a little. Hitting is unmatched by anything I have ever thrown. Very loud when it hits the pocket just right, and people notice. This ball will make a wonderful addition to your arsenal. I don't recommend it for beginers as they should look at something with a little less flare. I'm changing the drill pattern to get a little less aggresiveness. I'll update later.

Compared to the original Fire Hawk it does not jerk as much on the breakpoint, much better readability in the backend. Not as good in heavy oil but will cover a wide range of the mediums. Still revs up nicely. Drilled the Ball for 2 leftys and myself (Rh tweener ) and we all like the way the ball reacts. If the midlane is juiced up it tend to squired a bit, but if it enters the pins the carry is phenomenal. Great midprice ball for most of the styles, seems to work better for players with med to high rev rates. But depend how much of the dry you attack.

This is a GREAT mid-priced ball. Ball is very adaptible to different lane conditions. Ball revs up hard but does not show signs of early hook. Carrys the half ten well. Can be used on dry with the right bowler. Ball rolls like a solid not a pearl. Awsome carry on light hits. Ball wants to find the pockect on bad shots. This ball reminds me of the old Fire Quantum - good roll and great carry! It did go a little long on Heavy oil but the hard rev this ball gives you does help it cut through oil. Give this one a try!! Super Ball at a fair price. Great job AMF!!

Really a great ball for the price. A lot like the MJ Slam, but more angle at your breakpoint. You can really open up the lane when the condition warrants it. I believe the titanium really makes the difference in the Super/C's coeffecient of restitution (hitting power). Using it a box finish, it tended to retain too much enegry and was very aggressive when the ball was making its move to the pocket. The best sucess for me was using Liquid Sandpaper and then a wet green pad. This made the ball much more readable without sacraficing hitting power. It will be a great tourmanent ball.
