This ball came very highly recomended by my coach, so I went out and found one. It is a gem! This ball cruises through the heads and into the midlane, then makes a strong bone-crushing move into the pocket. It seems to tolerate more carry down than most pearlized balls. It is strong and continuous from very deep inside when the lanes start to get really torched. My only complaint so far has come from a "morning" pattern on freshly stripped wood lanes badly in need of cutting. It still got through the heads like magic, but shortened up and covered too many total boards to be useful even from extremely deep inside. By way of comparison, a Storm Too Hot (Label drilling) proved more useful but the shot was still inside of 4th arrow out to 10 board and all the way back. ("Around the World" with a Too Hot?!?) My ball is drilled 3" x 3" with a 2.5" pin and the mass bias in the strong position. I am a classic power stroker. I have preserved the "out of the box" finish

By far the best of the "oilers", and I have owned most of them. This includes the Rock, Rock-On, Reaction Roll, HPH & Chaos. The only one that comes close to the Fusion from among these was the HPH. Both, the Rock-On and Roll were disappointments when compared with the Fusion. If you don't have a lot of hand, and you are struggling on the longer /heavier patterns give this one a try. AMF has matched a great early-rev core with its new particle coverstock (called Veer) that bites through the soup with a heavy roll at the pocket. A great choice for those who also have problems with heavy carry-down.

since using the ball i haven't had a bad outing...am able to move in and always find an area to play..opens up the lane immensely..good for fresh to medium carrydown conditions...carries great..recommend to all to try..must keep surface clean...it picks up oil and belt burns easy..cleans rather easy...have drilled a few different patterns for people and all have worked well...45 degree and 60 degree drillings work best...tuck pin under ring finger and swing out cg and mass bias a little..leave surface like it is out of box...not a fan of changing this surface..

AMF sent staff member - Willie Willis one of these, and we drilled it with the pin above his ring finger and the Mass Bias in the strong position. With the Cold Fusion and the Fusion in box condition, the Fusion outhook the Cold Fusion by about 10 boards. After polishing the Fusion, the Fusion was more like 5 boards more than the Cold Fusion. The Cold Fusion is able to clear the heads when they are starting to burn up and still have energy at the breakpoint to rip the rack. This ball goes long, with a strong, sweeping arc to the pocket. I give this ball a 9, because I like the way it is able to get down the lane without a problem and give you that great pop in the pocket that a lot of people are looking for. Almost anyone will be able to throw this ball, without a problem. It is will shine on those 2nd shift conditions, when the heads start to get spotty.
