AMF Angle Evolution Extra Bowling Ball

(6 reviews) Write a Review
The Angle Extra is the strongest and sharpest on the backend of any Angles in the AMF line. It features the remarkable new cover stock called Veer (Vector Enhanced Energy Reaction). Veer is a combination of Super-Flex and AMF's new particle technology which provides greater length and backend reaction on today's new oil patterns. The Veer cover stock also possesses the ability to be shined or dulled easily to control the break point on a variety of conditions. The ball features a 4-density Power Ring core that has been modified to produce the strongest mass bias of any Angle to date. This adds explosive mid lane reaction and higher entry angles for better carry and continuation through the pins.

My 1st particle. Ball was drilled for early roll and a continious hook. Pin is 5.5 inches (x-out) at 12 o'clock. No weight hole. This ball can really hook when it hits dry lanes. Carries 10 pins pretty well. I practiced great with with ball but could never score high with it in league play. Dry lanes will make this ball cross over head pin for 'jersey' hits. I'm right handed and this ball will get to the left side corner very well. I gave this ball to my team mate and we both use it strickly for left side spares (we rarely miss them).

When I first got this ball, I was pleasantly surprised to see my average go from 152 to a 165 over the course of the season. It was a very consistant ball on a second shift house shot that broke down before the second game. Then, at midseason of my second year bowling with this ball, the house got a new lane oiler. Suddenly, we had flooded conditions, and this ball EXCELLED. I saw myself going home almost every week with between a 580 and a 670 under my belt. I had my first 7 250 games during this time; my high game prior to this had been a 236. My new high game is a 268 in sanctioned league play, I even finished off the season (on an unsanctioned free bowling night) with 11 strikes in a row for a sweet 278 game. Over the course of the second half, my season average went from the 165 that I had been stuck at for the first half of the season to a 179 average. That means that my average went up about a pin a week. Unfortunately, when I showed up to league this year, I was

The ball is worth buying but I do not recommend it for straight bowlers. The angle is very agressive and the hit will carry to give one great deal of room. However, if you cannot trust it's return and cup your shot, then it will not react the same way. So bowl loosely and trust it. I find this ball to have some hit to work in many houses and I am able to average 217.0 with it. But keep it away from any shot that gives too much back-end, to ensure the carry of all 10 pins.

Ball was unsold in ProShop, don't know why, so I replaced one of mine that was cracking around bridge. Drilled 10:30 and was pleasantly surprized on it's consistant predictability. The ball strikes when you get it there and comes back if you miss a little outside. Works best when you can play the inside. I've had a couple of AMF balls in the past and wasn't real impressed with them, but this one is OK. The ball is nice looking, black with red logos. Cover is easy to adjust and fits just fine in my arsenal. Wouldn't recommend for slower speeds or drier heads.

This ball works well from an inside angle. The carry seems to go away and the ball gets jumpy when its played up the boards. The problem I have had with the ball is that it didn't cary well dull so I shined it. Then it didn't have quite enough overall hook to play the inside angles it works best for. I never carried well enough with it to shoot 700 and I've had 5 700 series with other balls this year. This ball would probably be a monster for somebody with more hand or less speed. My angle extra was drilled with the pin just right and below my ring finger and the mass bias is stacked beneath it. This is a very good ball but I have thrown better.

this Amf Angle Extra is a great ball-I'm a power player with high rev's. Couldn't use newer balls because of over react problems. So I dropped weight to 14 lbs and can use amf angle extra. now when I hit pocket very few ten pins and higher carry rate. jumped from 600 to 700 series and with weight drop can throw on all conditions but dry.back end break is very easy to control and does exactly what you put into shot.for slower ball speeds it might be hard to control.give this ball a ten
