The AMF300 Night Hawk features the original asymmetric Night Hawk core for entry angle and explosive power, but with the control and forgiveness of a symmetric. The Night Hawk's degree of hook and breakpoint can be tailored for the individual bowler's style of play by the drilling pattern selected. The AMF300 Night Hawk is perfect for bowlers seeking a high-performance, high-rev ball.

I BOUGHT THIS BALL FROM MY DRILLER FOR A 100 DOLLARS WITH ONLY 5 GAMES ON IT SINCE HE DRILLS ALMOST EVERY BALL IN HIS SHOP AND HE LET ME TRY THIS ONE OUT. ITS DRILLED STACKED LEVERAGE WITH A 4 INCH PIN. THE BALL REACTS WITH A VERY HEAVY SMOOTH ROLL AND HAS A STRONG BACKEND THAT NEVER QUITS. IT WORKS WELL ON MEDIUM TO MEDIUM HEAVY OIL CONDITIONS. I THINK THIS BALL IS AMAZING DUE TO THE WEAK COVER OF SUPER FLEX. THIS BALL IS A MUST HAVE FOR A COMPLETE ARSENAL. THIS BALL IS WAY BETTER THAN ALL THE EBONITE TAKE OVER STUFF THAT FORCES YOU TO BUY A NEW BALL EVERY 5 MONTHS DUE TO PORUS COVERS. TRY TO FIND ONE!!!

Out of the box this ball was great. I actually thought it hooked more than the original. After using for 40 games or so, I took the surface back to the original box condition, and the ball still would not regain it's original reaction. I tried tweaking the cover with shine and surface, and this ball would go straight in the dry part of the lane. If the ball sniffed oil, it sailed. When I purchased this ball, I bought 3 of them, because I liked the original Nighthawks so much. I ended up selling my remaining 2 on ebay. Also with the thinner shell, this ball does not hit as hard as my original Nighthawk that easily has over 1000 games on it.<sc

The Black Nighthawk re-make is a souped of version of the original and it does not disappoint! It still performs on today's patterns. It doesn't necessarily have the same backend as the original but it hooks when it needs to. This ball out of the box is superb for sport shots, tough conditons meaning wet-dry or screaming backends. It seems to blend out a pattern and hits like a ton of bricks! It's very easy to read the breakpoint of this ball as well. It does require cleaning but i myself still have one that I've rejuvenated 4 times and still gets the 10 out! Polished it does skid/flip much more but I can't enough about the perfomance of this one out of the box. If you liked the original Nighthawk you'll love this remake!
