Urethane Evolved It's time to take our urethane to the next level! The Zen/U features the Meditate LD Core. This lower density core allows for maximum control while still providing that large footprint and shape on the lanes that the Meditate Core became famous for. The all new s35 Urethane+ Cover provides a quicker response time compared to traditional urethane. This core and cover combination will excel on short patterns and over/under or “cliffed” house conditions alike!

ZEN U .. The newest urethane ball from the Global series Featuring the Zen Famous meditate core. A lot of success with this core now wrapped with a urethane cover. This ball is something special. Traditional urethane for me reads super early and then kind of slow and flat down lane. The Zen U for me gets through the front part of the lane and has a defined continuous shape down lane. For me its later than a Pitch black and to compare it to a UC3 its less violent on the back end. It's a perfect in between ball. Typically I would not use urethane on a house shot because I feel you lose area and carry but not with the Zen U.

900 Global Zen U Coverstock: Meditate LD Core: s35 Urethane+ Layout: 4.5 x 4 x 2 The new urethane ball in the Storm family is the 900 Global Zen U. The Zen U has the all new s35 Urethane+ cover wrapped around the Meditate LD core. This new cover is designed to be more responsive than traditional urethane. I have tested the Zen U on a traditional house pattern, a modified 39 ft house pattern, 38 ft Marshall Holman, and 42 ft Mark Roth. Keeping the grit closer to box, the new Zen U can definitely open the lane up more than traditional urethane. As the oil carries down and the fresh surface wears off the urethane cover, I gradually creep right and have a more traditional urethane look out of this ball. There is a definite reaction difference from the Pitch Black, which is earlier and less responsive down lane. I do get some Fast Pitch feels out of this new Zen U due to the cleaner nature of the cover. I think this will be a great option for tournament players that need a more responsive urethane or league players looking for another option to tackle those tricky over/under house patterns. Zen U features the famous meditate core found in the Zen pearl and Zen Master. This time it comes as urethane. My first impression of this ball was it is very impressive. It is not as early as typical urethane and provides plenty of shape and continuation down lane. When the Pitch Black is too early and you want to open your angles up the Zen U will be an excellent option to go to. Also, for those who like to throw urethane on house conditions this will be one of the best urethane balls to choose as it is provides plenty of entry angle to kick out those pesky corner pins. Orientation: Right Handed Rev Rate: 400 RPM Speed: 16-17 MPH PAP: 4 ½ over and ½ up Location: Enterprise Park Lanes, Springfield MO Pattern: High Volume THS VLS Layout: Layout 1: 5 x 4 x 2 ½ (pin above bridge) Layout 2: 4 ½ x 4 x 4 1/8 (pin below bridge) The Zen U is a great compliment to the Pitch Black. The Zen U is NOT traditional urethane but I drilled mine the same as my Pitch Black and when I'm missing that piece to stay in a urethane shape later in a block, the Zen U is perfect for that. It definitely is in between reactive and urethane and I think a great new weapon with THANE is in play.

Zen U – WWRD 11/18/2022 Cover: S35 Urethane+ Solid Core: Meditate LD Symmetric RG 2.56 Diff. 0.027 Finish: 1000-Grit Abralon 900 Global's new Zen U is a Symmetrical Urethane piece that is good for Medium-Dry conditions. PAP is 5 5/16 R 1 3/16 Up. Rev Rate: 400. Drilled this piece with the Pin up between the fingers and CG kicked out 1.5" from the palm. Out of Box ball motion picks up early In the midlane but doesn't stop. Good piece to start a block with when you do not need a smooth reaction on fresh. This piece is good for all types of styles.

Review: O.M.G. go get one! The end... ;) In all seriousness, this is the type of shape I look for when using urethane. The new Zen U has the new S35+ cover and a modified Meditate Core. The 2 things to note there are the urethane+ in the cover which tells me that this is either a stronger urethane formula or a urethane/resin blend. The other thing to note is that the Zen U is using a low-medium flare symmetrical core. Why this matters is because like in the Storm Pitch Black (and unlike the UC3 and other asymmetrical urethanes), this type core allows the cover to be the star. As a tournament player and someone who happens to also be left handed, urethane is a must have in my bag if I want to compete. And I have drilled every urethane ball that 900 Global, Storm and Roto Grip have released, and THE ZEN U IS THE BALL I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR! I have been begging for an upgraded version of the Pitch Black for years. And that is exactly what the Zen U feels like. I drilled my Zen U with my normal strong urethane layout of 3.5x5x0. Comparatively, the Zen U is a close to but a touch cleaner than the Pitch Black at the same surface, but the Zen U is wwaaayyyyyyy stronger overall and is not nearly as bogged down with oil farther down lane. I have only ever had 2 issues with the Pitch Black, 1 is that once the pattern starts pushing down it didn't have the strength to fight through it without me really slowing my speed down and/or really increasing my rev rate (both of which I am not super great at). 2 was that there never seemed to be a ball I could switch to that was even in the same universe. The closest ball was the UC3 but both the UC3 and Pitch Black are super sensitive to oil down lane which for my style made them hard to use in tandem. The Zen U seems to fix those problems and fills this gab in my urethane bag in a HUGE way. Drill a Zen U, you won't be disappointed.

Have you ever thought of getting a Urethane ball? Well here is your time! I bought it, had it drilled, threw it...and was amazed! It's reaction mid lane is nice, but the back end this ball has it amazing. I threw it both on wood lanes and synthetic lanes. Wood lanes, stood 25 with my left foot, threw 14-15 at the arrows, and got it out to around the 8 board. and it was in the pocket. Total for three games moved a total of 3&3 left. On Synthetic stood 20 with my left foot and threw around the 2nd arrow, out to around the 6 board, and it was in the pocket as well. Total for the night moved a total again of 3&3 left. Now the "carry down" from a Urethane ball, I tried to move right at 1st, leaving more 9 counts, So I moved back left. With the back end this ball has, it worked great! Wood lanes, 2 opens 680 series, Synthetic 675 with 3 opens total. I threw it right out of the box, wiped it off after every shot, and cleaned it when the night ended. I love this ball, I feel so comfortable throwing it. LOL...and my teammates didn't mind me throwing it.

900 Global Zen U Cover: 1000 grit abralon S35 Urethane+™ Solid Core: Meditate™ LD (Symmetrical) Color: Jet Black Review: The Zen line has quickly climbed the ranks and has become a staple in some many people's bags. The line expanded when they added the latest Zen U. Taking a proven core like the Meditate and alternating it to fit around a Urethane cover. This has to be one of the smoothest rolling urethane balls I have ever thrown. When my UC3 starts to get to angular for me I like to switch to my Zen U. This ball is going to be seen in a lot of different bags very soon! As soon as you can get your hands on one of these ball I would suggest adding it right away. The Zen U gives you the S35 Urethane Coverstock wrapped around the Meditate LD Symmetric Core that was seen in the Zen Line! My Zen U is drilled pin over my ring finger and this is the perfect Compliment between the Pitch Black and UC3! The Zen U will give you the early smooth motion like a Pitch Black but hook almost as much as a UC3! Get yours at your local Pro Shop 11/18/22!

Layout: 4 x 20 Surface: Box Surface (1000 Grit) I was super excited for the Zen U as I was trying to find a stronger version of the Storm Pitch Black for my tournament arsenal. I always felt the Roto Grip Rubicon UC3 didn't dig into the lane as much as I needed out of urethane. The Zen U for me accomplishes just that. This ball to me is a combination of the Pitch Black and UC3 as it hooks early like the Pitch Black but continues down lane like the UC3 does. The Zen U is a ball I can move into the oil more on both a typical league pattern as well as a sport pattern. This is very important as the lanes break down or the pattern stays on the harder side. I got to test the Zen U on both a 44ft typical house pattern and a 38ft sport pattern. House shot review: I was amazed at how well the Zen U continued down lane even in the flood of oil in the middle of the lane. It was controllable overall but handled the oil extremely well while blending the drier part of the lane. I am not a firm believer of using urethane on a house pattern, but I can honestly start to make an exception on this Zen U. It allows me to play in the oil more with my higher rev rate while giving me the ball reaction that I need to score well on a house pattern. As I needed to move left with my feet, it still continued fairly well down lane which is incredible for true urethane. If you tend to use dull or stronger bowling balls for league, you can absolutely use this Zen U. Sport Pattern Review: On the 38ft Sport Pattern, I saw a lot of early hook as expected, but still had great continuation like on the house pattern. For me, the Zen U was about 5 boards overall stronger than the Storm Pitch Black. This is essential for me on sport patterns because it allows me to stay in urethane for more games when the Pitch Black gets too forward and especially if the oil pattern is very difficult. I can see this ball being used on a wide array of patterns due to how much overall hook comes from the ball. It will be to able handle both heavier oil and shorter and longer patterns as well. Brand new Urethane! I am extremely excited by the newest release from 900 Global. I am a big fan of the Pitch Black and the Zen. This combination brings them together. The Zen U features the S34 Urethane+ cover with the Mediate LD Symmetric core. The Mediate core was featured in the original Zen, however the Mediate LD has a less dense core to help give that traditional urethane feel. This ball is a great bridge between my Pitch Black and the UC3. This ball will get a lot of play time on a multitude of patterns, especially when you want to control the pocket and the Pitch Black isn't shaping the correct way. I will definitely be bringing this ball with me wherever I go, make sure that you go out and get yours November 18th!
