The Viking is built for battle. Created in small batches with precision and pride, the Viking pairs the Strobe A.I. Core with a responsive hybrid shell for motion. It's the kind of ball you can trust to show up every time.

900 Global Viking review by Lonnie Pemberton
TESTING ENVIRONMENT Length:44 Volume: Med-High Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc):THS COMMENTS Core: Strobe A.I. Cover: RB 90 Hybrid Reactive Finish: Power Edge RG: 2.51 (15) Differential: 0.052 (15) PSA: .016 ME: Right-Handed Tweener Speed: 12-13 mph Rev Rate: 315 Axis Tilt: 14° Axis Rotation: 74° PAP: 5 1/8 R 7/8 Up Ball Layout: Pin Over Bridge 5 X 5 1/4 X 2 1/2 VLS The 900 series from 900 Global may be the strongest line on the market this year. The Origin has been a fantastic success. It's core shape created a unique ability for the ball motion to adapt to conditions beyond what I had seen from any other ball. The next release adds a slightly cleaner/quicker option to the line. The Viking features the all new Strobe AI core wrapped in a strong hybrid cover. This combination looks fantastic on the higher volume patterns in use for both league and sport conditions today. It doesn't miss the spot and it doesn't stop it's motion. I tested the Viking on a broken down house pattern. I was a little worried that I may have gotten to the lane too late for a ball as strong as the Viking. I was happy to see I could still get the ball through the front without to much effort. I was pretty comfortable right away and I put together a pretty easy 250 game right out the gate. I moved in against the ball return before I really needed to just to see how the ball would react from further left. I was really surprised at how much area I kept. Our pattern is 12 to 1 so you would expect area but because the front panels have so much built in friction, you usually have to bring your breakpoint in with your feet if you hope to keep carrying. The big balls usually struggle to cover boards so moving to that part of the area too soon can make the backends feel really wet/dry. The Viking was able to combat this problem better than any of the current balls I've tried this with. I usually opt to stay closer to the friction longer to let the lane develop more before moving in but I really felt like the Viking made it so I could play either line without sacrificing carry. I could see this ball being exceptionally useful for players with more ball speed than me on sport conditons. It's very good at reading the right part of the lane without needing a ton of surface. I feel like that would keep it in play for more games in tournaments with long blocks of games. It's also strong enough for rev challenged league players and I think could match up well for some of them as well. Sometimes as a PSO your end up matching those bowlers up with weaker balls just so they can see more change of direction off the dry. I think this ball could work in that spot on fresh and transitioning lanes. 900 Global Viking – WWRD 11/21/2025
Cover: RB 90 Hybrid Reactive Core: Strobe A.I. RG: 2.51 RG. Diff.: 0.052 Finish: Power Edge 900 Global’s new Viking is Hybrid Asymmetrical piece that is good for Medium-Heavy Volume patterns. PAP is 5 5/16 R 1 3/16 Up. Rev Rate: 380. Speed: 16.5. I drilled this piece with the Pin up between the fingers, CG kicked out 1.5” from the palm, and Thumb 1/2” Above of the Mass Bias. I threw this piece on a Fresh house pattern. Out of Box ball motion was Clean through the fronts with a sharp backend reaction through the pins. I compared this to the Origin. Origin was a similar line to the Viking but started in the mid part of the lane with a smoother backend. This piece fits between the Origin EX and the Origin. BEst transition ball
The Viking for me is the best trasition ball that I had since a long time. It perfectly read the middle part of the lane but continu with a big hit on the pins. I can also play straighter or really at the exterior just with my hand position and speed and it continu to be good. I drilled mine 55x5x50. I think that it will can adapted to many kind of bowler's pitch. Another GREAT product from 900 Global. #strikingworldwide https://youtu.be/0GEniI4tU1k?si=55SDWF7l0-08OzCv

Viking!
The Viking is 900 Globals newest high performance piece. The Viking features the Strobe AI core wrapped in RB 90 hybrid. The first thing I noticed while throwing this piece is how much cleaner it is through the front part of the lane than the Origin. The Origin for me was much better when the lanes are tighter and I need to use more closed angles. The Viking for me has been awesome when I need to move left and open the lane up. The Viking reminds me a lot of the UFO Alert which is one of my all time favorite asylum pieces! Review Video: https://youtu.be/gCoLVDnXMn4?si=1mODhE2C9KXgt91-

Viking
The 900 Global Viking feels like a smoother, more controlled step down from the Reality-based Origin line—still strong and predictable, but without that heavy midlane grab the Origin is known for. The S90 Hybrid Reactive cover gives it that clean, easy glide through the heads that I don’t always get with the solid covers in the Origin, and the Viking core just rolls in a way that feels earlier and rounder without ever jerking off the spot. It’s one of those pieces I can pull out when the lanes start transitioning and the Origin becomes a little too much; the Viking lets me stay in the same part of the lane with a shape that blends out wet/dry while keeping a really usable, continuous motion. It’s a versatile complement, giving me a different cover/core combo that fits perfectly when I need something cleaner but still trustworthy. Go out and get yours today!

900 Global Viking – Ball Review
The 900 Global Viking is here, and let’s just say—this ball doesn’t come to play. It comes to conquer. Designed for medium to heavy oil, the Viking blends a strong mid-lane read with a surprisingly smooth and controlled move downlane. Think of it as your personal lane-raiding warrior… minus the beard and battle axe. The Viking Hybrid coverstock offers a clean glide through the front part of the lane, followed by a strong, predictable backend that doesn’t quit early. It’s ideal for bowlers who want power, control, and just enough aggression to remind the pins who’s in charge. The core revs up quickly, giving you a stable, confident motion that stays consistent even when the transition gets tricky. No wild, unexpected lunges—just that steady “I’ve got this” energy you wish your teammates had during league night. Who’s it for? Anyone looking for a reliable benchmark ball that hits harder than a Viking after someone stole their horn of mead. Whether you’re a speed-dominant bowler needing mid-lane read or a rev-dominant bowler wanting a clean but strong motion, this ball checks all the boxes. In short: Clean through the heads Predictable mid-lane read Strong, controlled backend Hits the pins like it’s settling an ancient Nordic score If you’re searching for a ball that’s powerful, dependable, and just a little bit intimidating, the 900 Global Viking is ready to join your arsenal—and it promises not to pillage your pocketbook too badly.
