The Hybrid cover creates much more length than the solid, so you get dynamic motion down-lane. I tested the Vengeance Returns on our house pattern after a shift of senior league had bowled. This usually creates a good proximation of second game of my normal league and lets me test ball reaction in the transition. The original Vengeance was an early and smooth motion ball that I really only found use for when I needed a pretty aggressive mid-lane read or I was looking for a ball that would get forward and control down-lane reaction. It was very consistent rolling, but when I had to cover boards it didn't retain energy well so I really needed head oil. I was amazed at the difference that a cleaner cover made. The Vengeance Returns definitely does 'Return'. This ball is a fantastic value as I feel like it really gives you strength and motion more on par with higher performance releases. The core seems to rev the ball up in just the right spot and as I transitioned left on the approach the ball just kept coming. This ball has enough strength to overpower the backend even when you get pushed so far left you're lofting the ball over the front of the lane. This ball will work well for a plethora of styles of bowler. It's also very driller friendly so I think the Vengeance Returns will find it's way into the arsenal of a lot of people. I really expected more hook than what I experienced. The Vengeance Returns is a good-looking ball that has the smooth roll of the original. The Vengeance Returns is a bit later in reading the pattern than the original and I think that is a plus. I was able to keep my angles in front of me with this ball and it rolled the same way time after time. Predictable and true. I feel this ball will be a good choice where a control motion is needed. This may be a good ball for me as the lanes get broken down. I let one of my no thumb youth bowlers try it out. Even though my ball has a thumb hole which will effect motion he saw a very good predictable strong move and hit. Summary: The Vengeance Returns has a very nice smooth motion. The roll and continuation through the pins is excellent. This ball is a bit weaker than I expected but will be a good arsenal addition. The Vengeance Returns is a perfect complement to the Vengeance. This ball gives me about 5 more boards of miss room. It is clean getting down the lane but is still not too jumpy off the spot. For me the ball has been a lot more predictable than I was originally expecting. I feel like I have a nice little arsenal for league between the Vengeance Returns, the Vengeance and my Bionic.

Diff.: 0.055 Finish: Power Edge 900 Global’s new Vengeance Returns is a Hybrid Symmetrical piece that is good for Medium-Heavy Volume patterns. PAP is 5 5/16 R 1 3/16 Up. Rev Rate: 400. Speed: 16.5. I drilled this piece with the Pin up between the fingers and the CG kicked out 2” from the palm. 5 x 4 x 2 ½. I threw this piece on a Fresh 42’ house pattern. Out of Box ball motion started in the mids with a strong backend reaction through the pins. I compared this to the Vengeance. Vengeance was a little earlier in the mids with a smoother backend motion. The Vengeance Returns is a good piece to go too when the Vengeance starts to burn up. If you liked the original Zen you will love the Vengeance. It just feels stronger on the backend. It is also cleaner through the fronts with more backend than the Vengeance solid. The Vengeance Returns features RB91 hybrid coverstock combined with the Blast AI core. The Vengeance Returns has my normal five inch pin up layout. I tested this ball on a 43 foot typical house pattern. As a mid to low rev player I could stand anywhere from the 18 board to the 30 board without losing any hitting power.This ball will be in my bag for leagues and tournaments. I drilled mine 5 x 3 and have been extremely impressed with how well it bridges the gap between my larger asymmetrical pieces and my Storm Bionic. The overall shape is very similar to the Bionic, but the Vengeance Returns is a touch cleaner through the front part of the lane and retains just a little more energy down lane.
