900Global - Harsh Reality Pearl
As the name of the bowling ball states, the Harsh Reality Pearl is a pearlized version of the original Harsh Reality. The Harsh Reality Pearl features the proven Disturbance asymmetric A.I. core and the Reserve Blend 902 Pearl coverstock. This bowling ball should be in everyone’s arsenal. I drilled my Harsh Reality Pearl with a pin-up layout that I normally use on such bowling balls: 65 x 5 ½ x 35. This layout results in medium amount of flare and helps such strong bowling balls to stay on the line of play a little bit easier. The coverstock on the original Harsh Reality felt a little too strong for my liking, unless I was bowling on a very clean lane surface. The Harsh Reality Pearl seems to feature a much better core and coverstock combination. The strength of the core makes the ball want to read the oil patterns sooner while the coverstock helps the bowling ball to get down the lane a little easier. I really liked that I could keep my Harsh Reality Pearl polished without feeling like the bowling ball skids to long. In my eyes, the Harsh Reality is one the best pearl asymmetric bowling balls that has been released recently. I think it could be used on multiple patterns and on multiple lane surfaces. It seems like the bowling ball rolls well with different layouts as well. I do see this Harsh Reality Pearl rolling very well on “House Patterns” especially at bowling centers with higher friction lane panels. If you are looking for a pearl asymmetrical bowling ball – this is the one to get.

900 Global Harsh Reality
The New ball in the 900 Global line is the Harsh Reality. The Harsh comes with the new A.I. technology and strong solid coverstock. The original Reality is my favorite 900 Global ball ever. So I drilled the Harsh the same way, pin down 4.5x 4 x 4.5 pin down. The original Reality was a little clean and more response down lane for a Asymmetrical Solid. So the Harsh has stronger solid cover which is about 1 foot earlier and thus a little less on the backend. The Harsh is the strongest ball in the line. I have used the Harsh on house shots but usually only get 1 game out of it before it forces me too far left. On the longer sport patterns is where I see myself using the Harsh the most. Harsh is good ball for higher speed players as it will help the ball slow down and react sooner. Great addition to the 900 Global Line. 900 Global Harsh Reality ball review
I drilled my HARSH REALITY up fairly strong with a 4.5 x 3.5 x 2.5 VLS layout. I have touched the surface up a couple of times with a 1500 and 2000 pad. This is an early reading ball. Probably too early for my slower speed. I compared it with my other strong solids in the SUMMIT and ABSOLUTE POWER. The HARSH is much earlier read than those two balls. When there are slicker fronts and I need early read, then the HARSH is the first out of my bag. Drill this one up if you need earlier read on slicker patterns.

900 Global Harsh Reality
Drilling pattern: 4 3/8 x 4 1/2 x 2 5/8. PAP: 4 1/2 over x 1 up Pin position: Above bridge So I needed a GEM replacement and decided on the Harsh Reality based on a number of reviews I had seen and videos I have watched. The ball looked incredibly strong and I never owned the original Reality so I was intrigued. I tossed this on a broken down THS and wow...it was DEFINITELY strong. It rolled very early and had no trouble fighting through the built up oil in the middle. However, for me being a slower ball speed/higher rev player there would need to be A LOT of head oil for this to be used. Probably not a ball I will be using a lot in league, but as a replacement to the GEM, which I also never threw in league, I can see it being very useful. Long patterns, heavy oil, and potentially on some cliffed patterns late in blocks where a big cover and core are needed, the Harsh Reality will shine. Brent Ritchie Storm Pro Shop Staff Member

Second Coming
The Harsh Reality is the "second coming" of the Reality, only this time with A.I. technology included in the core, as well as a slightly lower RG (2.48), and slightly higher differential and PSA values at .054 and .019. What this translates to is extra traction in the front and middle part of the lane, and increased hitting power at the pins with A.I. implemented into the outer core. I drilled my Harsh Reality 5.5 x 4 x 4 which gives me plenty of traction throughout the mid lane and through the pins on fresh conditions. It's rare that I am able to play super direct angles with this ball due to my medium speed (16 MPH) and rev rate (460), but this really isn't the ball for that. I have found it's happy place seems to be left of 15 and right of 25. With some hand position and speed manipuation, anything is possible and doable, but everyone has their comfort zone and that's where this ball fits into mine. It is 100% a fresh oil ball due to the strength of the 902 Reserve Blend cover and A.I. asymmetric core, first out of your bag on league night or tournament day.

900 Global Harsh Reality Ball Review
Bowler Stats: Speed: 15.5 MPH Rev Rate: 250 RPM Tilt: 6.6 degrees Axis Rotation: 80 degrees PAP: 4 5/8 over 1 5/8 up Layout: 5 X 4.25 X 2.75 VLS Video Ball Review: https://youtu.be/zF37J8XDhFQ I did not have a lot of success using the original Reality and that's crazy with how popular that ball is. With the release of the Harsh Reality the Disturbance core was upgraded with the A.I. technology so I wanted to see if that would change the shape of the ball motion and also see if the 902 coverstock would be more responsive compared to the smooth S84 Response coverstock featured on the Reality. Along with this release I wanted to find a more pin down type of layout to use on a stronger asymmetrical solid. This layout is similar to the one I used on the Magic Gem. The A.I. added to the core helps the ball have a more quicker response off the dry at the end of the house shot. For me the Reality would be so smooth off the dry that I would move right to get the ball to read the dry better and it would be too strong and slow off the end of the house shot. The new 902 Solid is smooth through the oil of the house shot but blends the house pattern better so I notice when the ball begins to make its turn towards the pocket. Harsh Reality
The latest release in the 900 series is the Harsh Reality. A stronger more aggressive version of the very successful Reality. The Harsh reality has the same core but now wrapped in AI tech. When i first drilled it i was really impressed with how it response down lane. I drilled mine 50x5x45 this ball is a benchmark in my bag when on higher volume of oil. I feel like it's cleaner than the Enertity PI and a great shape to have in your bag.

Harsh Reality - A Upgrade?
HAND: LEFT (ONE HANDED) PAP: 4 3/8 OVER / 1/16 UP BALL SPEED: 16MPH REV RATE: 420 AXIS TILT: 20 AXIS ROTATION: 50 LAYOUT: 60X5X65 The Harsh Reality is a new and improved Reality, with the original Reality I had a fairly clean solid ball that gave me decent pop down lane and rolled extremely well when the lane panels had more front friction or if there was lighter volume. With the Harsh Reality were getting a stronger upgraded version to battle the heaviest of oil patterns. For me this ball comes out only when there is about 30ml or more. This ball controls the front and the middle part of the lane extremely well and acts as if there isn't much oil on the lane at all giving me guaranteed hook. Players who are going to love this ball are people who bowl on heavier volume sport patterns, or players who bowl on a typical house shot who have a lower rev rate. This ball will make to get up into a roll for just about anyone. If you’re looking to replace the OG Reality or are just looking for a hook monster look no further than the Harsh Reality.

900 Global Harsh Reality Ball Review by PJ Haggerty
If you drilled the original Reality and had success, chances are you’ll be impressed with the new Harsh Reality from 900 Global. I really enjoyed the original Reality but always thought the cover was a bit too clean at times. The Harsh Reality has been beefed up with a stronger cover and an upgraded outer core (A.I. technology). This results in a similar motion compared to the original Reality, you’ll notice more dig in the mid-lane and an earlier shape than before. I purposely drilled this one a little weaker knowing how strong it’s designed to be. The layout I used is 6 x 5 x 2. This puts the pin above my middle finger and the mass bias just to the right of my thumb. I also hit the surface with 3000 and water to make it more usable in league. On tougher patterns, I’ve had success hitting it with 1000 to make sure it picks up the right way. It’s been a perfect ball to start with out of the bag and compares to my Gem and Absolute Power. If you need a super strong, asymmetrical monster that will see the lane on any pattern and any surface, go drill a Harsh Reality from 900 Global!

Up next in the 900 family, I give you the Harsh Reality! Built to replicate and replace the OG Reality with today's tech. Slightly lower RG:2.48 and higher Diff: 0.054 add in the AI outer core and you get more hitting power and carry at the pins. Tested on a med/heavy house shot (Layout:4.5 x 3.5 x 1 VLS) allowed my game to play right of 10 in OOB and some lane shine. Compared to my OG drilled with the same layout was easily 2/3 boards stronger and 2 feet earlier. Carry was higher based on equal pocket shots hence the AI core. I feel the Reserve Blend 902 cover give it better traction on higher volumes the the S84 Response. Compared to my Eternity PI its roll is more forward as the PI is rolly and I can move in with more consistent pin carry and pocket control. I am a speed/rev matched bowler but can see all styles utilizing this ball with the proper layouts and cover prep. I recommend this ball looking to upgrade from the OG or need a RG Gem replacement. Harsh Reality Review
If you were a fan of the original Reality, then you are in for a major upgrade. With the returning disturbance core paired with the 902 Blend Solid Coverstock, the Harsh Reality is one ball you want to have in your bag for demanding heavy oil lane conditions. While this ball has a lower rg and higher differential, the Harsh Reality is the strongest 900 Global ball to date. I drilled mine at an average layout of 45 x 4.5 x 30 with a pin up between the bridge. Tested on a 42ft house pattern at my home center, this ball reads the midlane extremely well with strong continuation through the pins. More of a first ball out of the bag, I'm able to maintain transition for a game or two until the lanes start to break down and then moving/adjusting my targets. Padded at a fresh 2000 the Harsh Reality can favor early and smooth lane motion on heavy conditions while shining can advance a cleaner, angular response. I recommend this ball for most tournaments contested on heavier conditions as well as a first ball out of the bag on a fresh house shot. Be sure to pick one up today from your local pro shop. 900 Global Harsh Reality
If you need a ball that ignores heavy oil, the Harsh Reality is your best choice. This is the classic “strong core, strong coverstock” combination that any bowler looking for a heavy or long oil pattern ball needs. Replacing the original Reality is a massive task, and while the Harsh is a touch stronger than that ball, it lives up to the hype. The amount of midlane traction that this ball creates is off the charts. Due to this, once the lanes dry up, you'll need to transition to something better suited for medium lanes – the original Eternity is a perfect step down.

Harsh Reality - Ball Specs Cover Stock: 902 Solid Finish: 2000 Grit Abralon Core: Disturbance Asymmetric Layout: 5 X 3 X 2 1/2 RG: 2.48 Differential: 0.054 Intermediate Diff: .019 Review The Tour Engineered 900 Series all new Harsh Reality utilizes the Reserve Batch Blend 902 solid coverstock combined with the Disturbance Asymmetric A.I. Core to give you the strongest ball in the 900 Global line. I am convinced the Harsh Reality is stronger than the original reality and slightly better performance. Mostly due to the AI core technology. I drilled my Harsh Reality with my standard pin up layout and this ball did not disappoint. It was able to read in the mid lane but still continue through the pins. I have used this on a 43 foot high volume pattern as well as typical house shots. I found this ball performing well on both, however this ball thrives when it sees a lot of volume. For me the Harsh Reality is two to three boards stronger than the original Reality. The Harsh Reality will be my first choice on heavy oil patterns. This is a great ball for all levels of bowlers that are looking for a strong ball to help with those really oliy fresh lane conditions. Sean Daniels 900 Global Staff Member Hillsboro, OR

Harsh Reality Review by Kyle, Joel, & Dean Johnson
900 Global Harsh Reality Cover: 2000 Grit Reserve Blend 902™ Solid Reactive Core: Disturbance™ A.I. Core (Asymmetrical) Color: Atomic/Graphite/Black Review: 900 Global is really hitting the mark with their releases and we are excited for them to add another BIG and STRONG asymmetrical bowling ball. The original Reality which in our opinion is probably the best 900 Global ball every made and will look even better with the A.I. core technology. We drilled this ball with our normal layout: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 4x4x2 (pin is above bridge). This ball is a monster solid, yet still holds the predictability and versatility like we see in the SPI brands. This ball really holds a lot of energy and continuation through the pins even for burning up so much energy so quickly. This core is simplistic yet beefy and we love it for that reason. 2000-3000 grit pads really change the design and shape for some of our tournament players and compliments this cover very well. We look forward to drilling several of these bowling balls. 900 Global Harsh Reality by Casey Murphy
Orientation: Right Handed Rev Rate: 400 RPM Speed: 16-17 MPH PAP: 4 ½ over and 1 1/8 up Location: Enterprise Park Lanes, Springfield MO Pattern: High Volume THS VLS Layout: Layout 1: 4 5/8 x 4 x 2 ½ (pin above bridge) Layout 2: 4 1/4 x 4 x 4 1/8 (pin below bridge) The Harsh Reality is a solid AI version of the Reality. I had the OG Reality relatively clean and more downlane than most bigger solids. This was great until I needed something bigger and slower to handle more oil and be controlled on the backend. The Harsh Reality solves that problem. The cover is definitely earlier than the OG Reality. The great thing is the AI core allows the Harsh Reality to keep it’s axis a little longer and not roll out like some of the bigger balls tend to. The Harsh Reality is the new standard for big strong solid asyms!

And now, with the powerful, newly upgraded Harsh Reality, 900 Global has taken that Reality's success to a whole new level! The Harsh Reality is an impressive new release that belongs in any straighter player's arsenal. So, let's take a look at what's behind the great success of Harsh Reality! The Disturbance A.I. Asymmetric Core is built on the proven Disturbance Core found in the 900 Global Reality family line that we straighter players have come to love. And now, with the addition of the outer A.I. Core surrounding the Disturbance Core, 900 Global has brought power to a whole new level! I found the Disturbance A.I. Core to be aggressive in the mid-lane as it fights to find its balance and relentless as it makes its turn off the pattern! I loved the intensity I found the Disturbance A.I. delivered no matter where I rolled my Harsh Reality. Whether poetry off my hand, tugged inside, or leaked right, the Disturbance A.I. Core never failed to get me back to the pocket! And with my higher-speed, low rev-rate game, I could count on the added performance of the Disturbance A.I. Core to kick out those dreaded- oh-no, I missed ten pins! Now, make no mistake about the Reserve Blend 902 Solid Coverstock! It is designed to cut through oil and perfectly complements the Disturbance A.I. Core. I loved how the Reserve Blend 902 Solid made my Harsh Reality –"hook out of the box." You will begin to understand the strength the Reserve Blend 902 coverstock brings to the Harsh Reality! The Reserve Blend 902 Solid dominates in heavy oil. It even enables a straighter player like me to swing the lane a bit and enjoy striking more from the benefits of a wider entry angle! And with that wider entry angle, your score has no choice but to go up! In closing, the Harsh Realty by 900 Global is a powerful ball that belongs in any straighter player's arsenal! 900 Global - Harsh Reality
The Harsh Reality is new release from 900 Global that features Disturbance A.I. Asymmetric Core and the Reserve Blend 902 Solid coverstock. The name speaks for itself, The Harsh Reality is one of the strongest bowling balls to date. I used the original Reality a lot and it was one of my favorite asymmetrical bowling balls; therefore, I drilled my Harsh Reality with the same pin-up layout: 65 x 5 x 3/4 x 30. For me, throwing this bowling ball with the “out-of-box” surface was very difficult as this Harsh Reality was so strong that I found it hard to keep the bowling ball on the right side of the head-pin. I quickly brought the surface up to 4000-grit and the ball reaction was much better as the bowling ball got down the lane much easier. It is still a very, very strong bowling ball. Honestly, to throw this bowling ball with the “out-of-box” surface, there has to be a lot of oil on the lane and the lane itself needs to be pretty new and slick. After a slight surface change, my Harsh Reality looked decent on some medium to longer patterns where the backends where very responsive. I have also tried my Harsh Reality on a standard “house” pattern and this bowling ball is great at blending the “wet/dry” conditions. One thing I will add is that this bowling ball went through the pins very well for me. Bowlers that like bowling balls like Gem or Super Nova, will find the Harsh Reality very useful. Welcome to a New Reality
The Harsh Reality is nothing like its predecessor, where the Reality was Strong Core/Weak Cover. This ball is Strong Core/Strong Cover. This ball is really good on the fresh with HEAVY volumes of oil. This ball really wants to dig into the lane, hook a lot and then just roll to the pocket.

900 Global Harsh Reality
Layout: 4 1/2 x 4 x 2 The original Reality has been a staple in tournament bags since it was released in 2021. The Harsh Reality builds on the original with a slightly stronger cover, so it reads the lane a little bit sooner than the Reality. The biggest change is the addition of the AI Outer Core technology. The Harsh Reality is a good ball for the fresh on longer and heavier oil conditions. With a lower RG and 2000 grit finish, it will be able to dig through the heaviest of oil. Harsh Reality
The 900 Global Harsh Reality features the new Reserve Blend 902 solid coverstock and the Disturbance A.I. asymmetric core. At 15 pounds the RG is a low 2.48 with a differential of .054 and an intermediate diff of .019. Finished at 2000-grit abralon, the Harsh Reality needs a good deal of oil to be effective. Once the Reality was discontinued, you knew 900 Global would have to release something they were sure would be able to fill its shoes. They did not disappoint…for me, the Harsh Reality hooks a few boards more than the original Reality and has the same strong backend motion which made the original such a fan favorite. The combination of cover and A.I. core make this the only ball you will need for the longer and heavier volume oil patterns. If you find the out of box finish is a bit too early, try bringing the surface up to 4000. This will provide a little more push through the front of the lane. Just remember, this ball is designed to hook in oil and that is exactly what it does!

My layout for the harsh reality is VLS-5.5x3.25x2 Dual Angle-40x5.5x30 The Harsh Reality will be a great addition to the 900 series line. It will be a great compliment to my Eternity PI. The Harsh Reality will be great for heavy oil lane conditions and the Eternity Pi will be a great complement when the Harsh Reality is burning up or to slow. Harsh Reality
The new 900 Global Harsh Reality is the newest installment in the SPI Lineup. Being brought in as an upgrade to the original Reality, The Harsh Reality features the 902 Blend solid cover and the Disturbance core with A.I. technology. Compared to the Reality, the Harsh Reality is slightly cleaner through the front part of the lane and a little more responsive to friction. The Harsh continues to want to eat through oil, but it is not as smooth as the original. The Absolute Power is a complete step down from the Harsh Reality as it is much cleaner and responsive to friction. The Absolute Power allows your angles to be opened up more while still maintaining a smoother ball motion. I have all three of these balls layed out very similar. With the Harsh Reality being 5x4x4 2LS, Reality being 4.75x4x4 2LS, and the Absolute Power being 4.75x4.25x4.5 2LS, I see completely different shapes out of all three of these balls. I do not see the Harsh Reality being a replacement rather than a compliment.

PAP 5” Over 1/2 up Rev Rate 300. Tilt 20. Rotation 50. Speed at release 17 Review: I really love the original Reality so when I heard it was going away I stashed a few. I was then told a new stronger Reality version was coming out. Now we have the Harsh reality. This ball has great colors and a stronger cover and definitely reads the lane sooner than the original. This is good if you have more oil up front or overall but you do sacrifice some back end recovery that the original had. I had to move in to the oil and roll the Harsh Reality faster during the testing to get the best results and I am looking forward to getting the ball on the heavier patterns to see what it can do. I have not seen a difference in hit with the A.I. technology in this particular ball like I have seen in other balls that have incorporated it but I feel the conditions I have used the Harsh Reality on have just been too dry for the best results. The Harsh is stronger than the original and I would put it almost with the original Gem in total hook. Summary: This is a very strong ball from Global. The Harsh Reality provides an earlier read and more hook than the original. The Harsh Reality will be a good choice for oily conditions.
