I picked this ball up used. It was a great choice. This ball plays just how I like to, no matter the lane condition. It does definitely prefer medium oil to a bone dry lane though. Rolled my career high 266 shortly after getting this, and I average around 145 with it. It will hook a little bit in heavy oil, but I wouldn't rely on it for that. Stay second arrow and outside and it is a monster. Great pin action, I hit the pocket nothing gets left. I get splits that are destroyed by pin action (always good). If you can find one, get one. Highly Recommended. Hitting Power: 10 Hook: 10 Color: 10 Versatility: 7 Medium Oil: 8 Overall: 9<scri

Awsome ball. I have qualified for many tournaments including a 2nd in state team finish, as well as a 7th in state singles finish. Finally got my first 700 with this ball in a different house. Finishes soooooo nice. Probably 80-90% of the pocket shots are 10-in the pit beauties. Owned this ball for 5 years now and it still remains in my bag. I have gone through several other balls from other companies and this one i still take everywhere i go. Just an awsome ball made by storm. I am looking to upgrade my bag to all storm equipment now and this ball will NOT get replaced.

A guy in the area I bowl in had the Junior Record for high series with a 702. He didn't think anyone could beat it so he said if someone could than he'd buy them any bowling ball they wanted. I shot a 707 with my old Purple Rhino and I chose this ball. Greatest deal of my life. This ball will work with any line I play. I play the Norm Duke line and it slams through the pocket. I could swing the ball out and it'll come right back into the pocket. If you are on dry lanes this ball will be hard to control but I got 1st Place in Idaho for Juniors with this ball on very dry conditions. Best used on heavy oil though. Can't believe I never reviewed my favorite ball until now. Lately I've been throwing my new Throttle but decided to give this ball a whirl once again. Shot 704 with it. I forgot how to pick up spares the first game for a 192 but followed it up with a 246 and a 266. Ball still rules.

There are only two balls that fit me like a glove, and this is one of them. I have to play a little deeper with it than my other stuff, but that's not a problem. I can send it out wide, and know it will come back. When other balls are getting jumpy, I just move deep and crank this one up. I stuck it in my closet when I moved down to 15 lbs, and just had to get it back out. Glad I did! I always score well with this ball. Redrilled it and put some surface on it, and the snap at the backend is incredible. Still gets decent length, I can really rev it up. 740 today, earlier this week 297/805, next night I shot 300. Very easy to trust. The only ball that will get me through lane transition without leaving weak tens, it'll go straight to mixers, AND carry them. Then all I have to do is move a little right, and I'm back in the pocket. Awesome ball, need to get another one. If you're having trouble with yours, put some surface on it.

If you are a stroker or a slight tweeker and are faced with medium to heavy short oil, then this is your ball if you can find one. Crankers will be disappointed as this ball tends to skid alot and break late and smooth when released with fingers straight up. It's not a HAMMER, you got to be sugical and consistent, but you will be rewarded as such. This is a great choice for an A game ball provided the conditions are fresh and the ball is allowed to break late. If it hits dry to early it won't hit well, although in oil you can get away with tugging it up to 3-4 boards. Comments, questions? Email MoperyDave@aol.com

This is a good ball although when get into a shot with alot of oil this would not be the ball that I choose. This is a pearl ball so I guess this is to be expected. I have bowled on a variety of shots and this ball will work well on some but when you encounter alot of oil not a very good ball. But other than that this is a nice ball with nice backend and alot of hitting power. I would recommend to get this ball if do not bowl on alot of oil. Also when you start to encounter carry down this ball does not have enough power to move when you lose the backends.

Such a sad story of my el nino 2k. It was drilled stight up, pin above fingers, cg directly in the span, went long, snaped hard, and was always w/me. Did not like the fact that there had the backends to get this ball to move, lasted a while, then, it turned into my black choas all over again. No hook, no backend, just a dead ball.Stright as an arrow. It was great while it lasted, then w/death came the sell of it. To this day, I still don't like buying partical bowling balls. The pleasure has been yours. The great one

The El Nino 2000 is my first Storm ball...it won't be my last !!! I think it's great... It even looks great ! I would recommend it to anyone looking for a lot of length with fantastic hitting power. I use the outside line and it works great. If the lanes dry up it still goes fairly long but it gets kind of flippy in the back end. I don't have a lot of luck trying to play the inside line with this ball. When I do It hooks hard for me but it kind of quits without driving through (probably due to my lack of speed and not because the ball isn't capable).

I absolutely love this ball. This ball is the ball that convinced me to start throwing Storm equipment exclusively. It is the ball I start out with no matter where I am bowling and it hits like a truck! This ball is very universal and will get through the heads on a dry condition and turn extremely hard in the back end. Great ball for league conditions and right in the middle of the tournament blocks. Do not try to use this ball when the lanes are flooded! But if there is any dryness at all in the back end, WATCH OUT FOR SOME HIGH SCORING ACTION!!!

The El Nino 2000 is a great ball to keep in your bag. It gets down the lane very well for a particle ball and has a nice hard arc to it which throws pins around at will. If your looking for a ball for very heavy oil I wouldn't recommend this one, but if you want a ball for the first game or two on a house shot this one can get the job done. This one is good on medium-heavy to medium conditions, but you'll have to move in deep with a lot of ball speed or weak release to throw this one when the heads start to dry up. This one is usually the first one out of my bag, because of it's great ball reaction, and it reads the lane so well. If your looking for all around performance you can't go wrong with this one. Overall, I will give this one a 9 out of 10. Another great job by Storm.
