The Nitro Blue is the most successful performance ball in Ebonite's history. The exclusive Dynamic Core gives the Nitro a precise area of concentrated weight so it skids longer, hooks later and harder.

Nitro two-piece balls have a specially-formulated urethane shell and a precisely placed Dynamic Core. The Nitro shell contains more thane 11.5 pounds of high performance urethane in 14, 15 and 16 pound balls. Plus, the unique additive AJL51 delivers more surface contact with the lane than any other ball on the market. And the advanced compound HD106 creates a more powerful, harder-hitting shell that adsorbs impact better than the competition.

Purchased the Blue Nitro at a Flea Market for 6 bucks. I cleaned it up and got it drilled , this is a great old ball it hooks the way I want it to and I can really feel in control of my shots. The pro at the shop wanted to buy it , said it was a decent ball he would use for spare shooting.

Well last year I bought this ball off a friend of mine I was bowling with in leagues. Pluged and redrilled now it is my Spare ball Pin is under my ring finger, When I am bowling in leagues I use this for spares nothing special break my wrist and throw it hard unitl the lanes fall apart then I throw this ball has a primary, it hits pretty good for being ancient, sends messengers and the whole shooting match, The ball also hook a surprising amount when I allow it to, usually I will use this for fun at a house that is usaually pretty dry, play a little swing out to about 8th board picks up a roll at about 40 feet or so I was really surprised how early it can pick up a roll good continuation in the pins. I like the fact that when I break my wrist this thing just goes straight as an arrow and it hooks when I need it to also. I kill two birds with one stone with Nitro Not bad for an Ebonite product.

I was away from league bowling about 17 years and hadn't thrown a ball in 12. Picked up a used one at the pro shop at the local lanes after finally giving up on my old LT-48. What a difference! I don't have to try to over rev or slow down dramatically, and adjustments to the pocket are simple and predictable. Pin is only about 1/2" and cg left of center(LH bowler). It's got a really nice move to the pocket and I always know what it'll do when I throw it. Over the coming summer I'll probably try to get something from the current century, but in the meantime, just how happy IS a clam, anyway? I'm sorry I missed out on this when it was current.

This is probably gonna end up being the best ball that Ebonite will ever produce. I dont think you can find another ball with as much urethane content as this one. There is over 3"+ of urethane coverstock. The core produces revs, and hitting power. The coverstock "pushes" pins off the lane, instead of making them fly over each other. I have used this ball on synthetic and wood, dry, oily, and a wet/dry combo. There is nothing I have come across that I couldnt get lined up with. Try to find one, and see for yourself. This is the "Yellow Dot" territory of Ebonite!

this urethane ball is as good as any new ball out there today.recommended for heavy oil but well suited for any lane condition.this ball has an incredible hook potential.can be played to skid and snap or sweep.only depends upon how you want to throw it.flattens out nicely for the corner pins.thrown properly this ball devastates the pins.the ball hits hard and carries through the pins nicely. bought mine new in the early nineties and still plays as well as it did then.maint. is minimum. an occasional swab with alchohol to clean.wet/dry 1000 grit sandpaper once or twice a season and that's it.the best, and most versatile ball i have ever played.
