Road Warrior
The new Road Warrior features the Inverted FE2 A.I. core and is wrapped in the all new R2S Deep Pearl coverstock. At 15 pounds the RG is 2.55 with a differential of .045. I drilled mine with the pin above the middle finger (4x4x2). The new Road Warrior is a cleaner and more angular version of The Road. For me, the Road Warrior is about 3-4 feet later than The Road, and about 2-3 boards right with my feet. The Road provides a more continuous motion front to back, while the new Road Warrior brings back the more traditional HyRoad backend reaction. The Road Warrior is good on medium lane conditions and broken-down patterns. When my angles need to be steeper through the front, I know I can throw the Warrior and be confident that it will make it back to the pocket. The A.I. core continues to provide superior pin action, especially on the off hits. This is not the first ball out of my bag to start a block, but it has definitely earned a spot in my bag for the later games in a league night or tournament block.

Road Warrior Review
As anyone who has read my reviews or watched my videos for a while, I’m an absolute push-over for anything in the Road line. It took me a long time to drill up my first Hy-Road, but it was one of the first balls I ordered when I moved from 15 to 14 pounds. The Road has been in my bag every week since it was released in the middle of 2024 and the Road Warrior looks to be a great complement. While it’s way too early to call it a replacement for the legendary Hy-Road Pearl, it definitely is a strong contender. The Road Warrior has the R2S Deep Pearl coverstock, which is a much weaker cover than the REX Hybrid coverstock that’s on the Road. That means the Road Warrior is going to go longer and have a sharper reaction when it sees friction at the back of the lane. It’s a great choice when you need to move inside and still get enough back end to carry the corner pins. Layout: 5 x 4 x 2 My Specs - Speed - 16 mph, Rev Rate - 315. PAP 5 1/8 x 7/8 Up. Physix Blackout https://www.youtube.com/shorts/n8NFbT7Nrj0 Attention Star S2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s3G-wOwqjv0&t=1s... Road Warrior https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b8T_lgwG4BM&t=1s Origin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFs8AQas00g&t=1s Ball Reviews: Physix Blackout: The Physix Blackout has become one of my favorite balls. It is usable on a variety of conditions and has become the first out the bag on THS in different centers which play entirely different which shows some of the versatility of this ball. The pearl cover with the 2000 finish allows the ball to be clean through the front of the lane yet smooth off the breakpoint and allows plenty of continuation down lane when it is needed most. I have been able to play with my angles closed and opened as well as get a little deeper into game 2 than other asym options that would typically burn up by this point. This ball, also, was good on sport. Bowling on 45' where my angle was closed towards the pocket this ball provided plenty of motion through the pins given the longer distance and higher volume of what I was bowling on. This ball is a must have for the competitive bowler and is another great rendition in the Physix line. Attention Star S2: The hybrid version of the Attention line is out with a much more controllable smooth motion compared to its predecessor the Attention Star. The S2 is great for those medium to heavier oil conditions when control is needed. I found this very usable on sport conditions when my angles needed to be closed and I wanted to keep everything in front of me and control to the pocket. This ball is slower responding than the original which allows you to use this on the fresh. When the lanes begin to hook up front and a cleaner reaction is needed you can piggy back onto to the original to continue to allow your ball to angle down lane without sacrificing energy and hitting power at the pins. Road Warrior: A new iteration the the popular Road line is back with the Road Warrior. This version is a pearl with the R2S deep cover. It is much slower than the original HyRoad pearl, which makes it more controllable. When you need a cleaner reaction than the stronger asym or symmetrical's the Road Warrior will be a good option to go to. Origin: New core, new cover and tons of power. The Origin is great for those medium to heavier oil conditions. At first, I found the ball a little too clean so I adjusted the surface to 2000 to get it to pick up sooner. The surface adjustment made all the difference in seeing the ball motion I was looking for. I found success on THS when the lanes play tight and I want to play more up the track area. Origin reserved tons of energy as it exited the pattern and continued well through the pins. Also, saw success on sport when my angles needed to slowly open up this ball was strong enough to dig into the deeper part of the lane where oil was still present yet provided strong continuation down lane that didn't sacrifice carry. The Origin will be a good option on on fresh or transition.

Road Warrior
The Road Warrior features the inverted FE2 core but with A.I. core technology with R2S Deep as its cover stock. With higher rg I drilled this ball 4x40 to make sure this ball flared enough to get it into motion. This ball is extremely clean through the front part of the lane with a lot of recovery down lane. Now that the hy-road pearl is discontinued this ball should be the replacement ball. This ball should pair up nicely with the Phaze A.I. when the A.I. is to much I should be able to ball down to the Road Warrior. Players looking for a ball that will handle a lot of friction or if you’re just looking for a Hy-Road Pearl replacement this is the ball.

The latest addition to the Road family is the Storm Road Warrior. The new Storm Road Warrior features the R2S Deep cover stock wrapped in AI technology. Like The Road this quickly becoming my benchmark pearl. Using the layout of 45x4.5x30 gives me the control I need once the lanes transition and I need a longer ball in my hand. Road Warrior - Ball Specs Cover Stock: R2S Pearl Coverstock Finish: Power Edge Core: Inverted FE2 Core Powered by A.I. Layout: 65 x 5 x 35 RG: 2.55 Differential: 0.045 Review The Road Warrior is the newest addition to the legendary Road Series. For me the Road Warrior is very similar to the Iconic Hyroad Pearl. The R2S Pearl Coverstock that has the new power edge finish with the Inverted FE2 Core Powered by A.I. allows me to play straighter on the fresh and move deep inside on the burn. I tested this ball on a 43 feet typical house pattern. As mid to low rev player l was able to stand right of center on the fresh and as far left as 32 board on the burn without losing any carrying power. Road Warrior by RGR
Storm Road Warrior Layout: 5 1/8th x 5 1/4th x 2. Ball specs: R2S Deep coverstock with the Inverted FE2 Core with the new A.I. outer core technology. Box finish is the all-new Power Edge polish. Mine – I hit it with a fresh 2000 grit pad then reapplied Power Edge to make sure the peaks and valleys of the coverstock was the freshest I could have. All the next release in the Storm Thunder Series is the Road Warrior. A follow-up from the The Road that was released earlier this year to much fanfare, because of the legacy of the Hy-Road lives on with new A.I. technology enhancing the very popular Inverted FE2 core. Wrapped in the newer R2S DEEP coverstock, coupled with the all-new Power Edge polish, the Road Warrior has enhanced overall length down lane which works better on medium to lighter volume oil patterns. The A.I. technology adds predictable transitions in ball motion across all skill levels of bowlers, which intern gives a ball that can cover all aspects of anyone’s game and lane play. I went with a longer pin to PAP drilling than I normally would have on a piece like this. My Road was a stronger pin to PAP layout and I not a real fan of it. It was a little too early in mid-lane motion and a not very forgiving for me in the backends, If I just “missed” it a little, I had no run for error. Now with adding R2S DEEP to the cover combo that was on The Road, I noticed an instant difference in length and responds on the friction, it was not as early as I thought it would be but still had a TON of POP going through the pin deck. I found after a good bit of time on the lanes using the all-new Physix Blackout, and I was getting a little worn out, and the Blackout would start to move a little sooner than I would like, I hopped right into the Warrior without any change in angles and starting position on the approach, it added that extra length I needed but without a “hockey stick” reaction in the backend. The Warrior will be a step-up for me from the Physix Blackout in my league bag, which it will replace my Hyped Pearl which I have used for several years. Storm Road Warrior
Ball Specs: Storm Road Warrior Cover R2S Deep Pearl Reactive Inverted FE2 Core (Symmetrical) Color Sapphire/Steel Finish Power Edge Layout 4.5 x 5 x 1.5 Pin Buffer Bowler Specs: Right Hand. PAP 5” Over 1/2 up Rev Rate 300. Tilt 20. Rotation 50. Speed at release 17 Review: The Road line of balls have always been popular at our shop and I feel this will be another good edition to the line. I believe the Road Warrior is a stronger version of the Hyroad Pearl. This ball will replace that spot in the lineup. The Road Warrior is a very attractive ball and has a nice minty scent. The Road Warrior seems to drive through the pins and carry better than my Hyroad Pearl. This is a great ball for dry lanes and it produces a clean path through the front of the lane and creates an angular but predictable motion off the friction. High rev players or two handers should see a lot of success from this ball on dry to medium conditions. When testing this ball I did have to get it to do the dry part of the lane to get my best results. I was on a slicker than normal fresh house shot so I would normally started with something stronger but we got some good feedback. I like the way this ball drives through the pins and the carry gets better as you play more into the dry. When I have the right dryer or breakdown conditions for this ball it will be a trusted piece. I will put this ball above my Surge and below my VEBO in total hook. Summary: The Road Warrior is a beautiful looking ball. This ball provides excellent length and backend. This ball will be very good on dry or broken down conditions. The Road Warrior features a pearl version of the super clean R2S Deep cover that was featured on the Absolute and absolute power. This time the engine in the ball is the legendary Fe2 core enhanced with A.I. (Amplified Intertia) technology. The result is a clean angular and incredibly forgiving shape. I tested the Road Warrior in League. I waited until game 3 when I really got pushed left. My hope was that the Road Warrior would work as a Hy-Road Pearl Replacement. Sure enough when I had to cover boards the Road Warrior gave me the the length and hook I needed. To the eye it is a slightly earlier and a little rounder than the Hy-Road pearl. I had expected this as it's the difference I normally see with the A.I. version of cores. The difference was much less pronounced than in other balls, I believe because of the cleaner R2S Deep cover on the Road Warrior. Because my greatest need was for a ball to throw on the driest conditons that's where I was most interested in seeing the reaction of the Road Warrior. Too far left was not an issue I ever ran into throwing the Road Warrior. I did also throw the Road Warrior on a fresher condition later in the week. I obviously had to be much closer to the friction, but I was surprised at how useful it was on the fresh conditon. Responsive balls can be pretty over-under when the lanes are fresh here but the Road Warrior was a little smoother seeing the earlier friction so the over-reaction wasn't as pronounced as I was used to seeing with balls like the Hy-Road. The Road Warrior definitely fills a gap that needed to be filled. This ball is incredible when you need to see the ball hook down-lane and its so clean that it really combats the early friction. I think this ball is going to be a must-have for any one who sees to much friction develop as they bowl and especially invaluable for anyone who bowls longer format tournaments. Very Nice Ball for drier lanes!
The Road leads to this new Warrior! This ball rolls so well. I normally adjust the surface on a bowling ball out of the box, but Storm is breaking the surface! I kept this one out of the box. For me, yes Light/ Medium oil. I also bowl in a bowling alley with wood lanes and this ball rolls very good there. Then even on synthetic lanes, if you need a straighter ball, A ball to go through the mid lane burn, and still react on the back ends, this is the ball. I'm really happy to see this ball roll, happy to read it on the lanes and happy to learn off it.

Storm Road Warrior
Road Warrior is going to be the absolute replacement for the iconic Hy Road Pearl. With the Inverted FE2 AI core and R2S Deep Pearl cover this ball makes a similar motion as the Hy Road Pearl but maybe a couple of feet sooner. I drilled mine 4.5 x 4.5 and I absolutely love this ball when the left side gets fried. It really allows me to either stay on top of it longer or even open my angles up and watch it hook down lane. This ball will an absolute hit later in blocks when you need something to really get through the front half of the lane. If you want to replace your Hy Road Pearl or just looking for direct replacement than look no farther.

Storm Road Warrior
Thnk Hyroad Pearl, but on steroids. This was my first impression of the new Storm bowling Road Warrior. The core of this ball is the prove FE2 AI core and this ball is wrapped in R2S Deep Cover. The colors that were used on this ball really pop as well. The first thing that struck me about the Road Warrior is its impressive ability to handle a wide range of lane conditions. Whether I was dealing with heavy oil or lighter conditions, the ball performed exceptionally well, providing consistent hook potential and a smooth transition through the backend. For me, this was everything that I loved in the Hyroad pearl, only much better. What I appreciate most about the Road Warrior is its versatility. It performs well across various styles, whether you're a straight bowler or someone who prefers a more aggressive hook. The adaptability makes it a fantastic choice for league play, or tournaments. While this a ball can be used on the fresh, this ball for me excels later in the day where I have to get the ball through the fronts. The cover makes this ball glide, but I have no doubts the ball will come off the spot strong, allowing me to be confident when throwing it away from me. The Storm Bowling Road Warrior has solidified its place in my bowling bag. If you're looking for a bowling ball that excels on a variety of lane conditions while still offering style and comfort, the Road Warrior is an excellent choice. Dual Angle Layout: 60 x 5 x 25 Storm Vector Layout: 5 x 4 ¾ x 1 3/4 The Road Warrior features the R2S Deep Pearl Reactive cover stock wrapped around the Inverted FE2 A.I. Core. This ball is super clean through the heads but really packs a punch on the backend. I was hoping this ball would replace my lightning black out at the bottom of the bag but its just too strong for that. The ball has been my go-to ball down in late game 2. The new smooth edge polish just makes this ball stronger.

Game 3 Savior
The Road Warrior was a ball that I specifically wanted for game 3 or when there was a lot of traffic on the right side. It has shown me that it is predictable and reliable down lane. This ball also has worked great for me on shorter patterns where I normally struggle. This ball has found a place in my tournament bag and it is my savior for league if the lanes get that bad.

Orientation: Right Handed Rev Rate: 400 RPM Speed: 16-17 MPH PAP: 4 ½ over and 1 1/8 up Location: Enterprise Park Lanes, Springfield MO Pattern: High Volume THS VLS Layout: Layout 1: 4 5/8 x 4 x 2 ½ (Pin above bridge) Layout 2: 4 ¼ x 4 x 4 (pin below bridge) The new Road Warrior is a pearl version of the Road. I was just 50/50 on the OG Road. It was a little confusing due to the stronger Hybrid cover. Sometimes it wanted to stay on line and sometimes it wanted to hook early. It had its times but I could never quite dial it in. The Road Warrior solves that problem. It’s a little weaker pearl cover and that dials in the reaction perfectly! It get’s plenty of length, but I would NOT call it a comp to a HyRoad Pearl. Its much stronger than a HyRoad Pearl, which is good because since weight holes went away I haven’t been able to throw my HyRoad Pearls as much because they’re too clean. The Road Warrior feels more like a cross between a Wrecker and a Hyroad Pearl. The result is a rollier, while still angular and clean. It’s a VERY unique shape. Storm does it again!

Road Warrior Review
The Road Warrior is Storm's newest "Road" ball to date, and it's a good one!! It is the predecessor of the legendary HyRoad Pearl. With the Inverted FE Core found in the Road, along with the Deep RS2 Pearl Coverstock and Power Edge finish, the Road Warrior is designed to keep dry lanes in check and be cleaner in the fronts, yielding more energy and more angle through the pins. I drilled mine at 50 x 5 x 35. Testing it on a 42ft league pattern at Fishkill Bowl in Fishkill, NY, the Road Warrior had quite the impression I was looking for. With a weaker cover stock, the ball was clean as expected, going through the fronts and midlane, resulting to a longer read and down lane motion. I found the Road Warrior to fit in my bag in between the Phaze AI and Optimum Idol Pearl. The Phaze AI had more angle, whereas the Idol Pearl was a level below the Road Warrior with a smoother finish. The Road Warrior would be much preferred for when the lanes are on the high friction side, a game 2-3 ball during leagues and late blocks during tournament play. Be sure to stop by your local pro shop and drill up a Road Warrior today!! Thomas Coco (storm staffer)

I went with a longer tall pin with a 5-1/4” pin to PAP and 2-1/4” buffer specifically for toasted, late block lanes where I need to stand way left and get the ball right. Compared to the Hyroad Pearl, this one is earlier not surprising with the PowerEdge aggressive polish on the cover. This is a must to have for those lengthy tournament blocks when you’re needing to keep the strikes a coming from deep inside. The peppermint scent is a nice calming aroma therapy to boot ? Road Warrior
A pearl Hy-Road RETURNS!! This take on the timeless favorite features R2S DEEP Pearl and the same great Inverted FE weight block, only this time with A.I. core technology. The result feels like a Hy-Road Pearl with a slightly stronger/smoother cover that can handle more oil than the original, while still being clean and never reading the front part of the lane. The A.I. core also lends itself to smoother ball motion and a longer hook phase. Practically, this ball is a way more useable version of the original Hy-Road Pearl for me. It flares a bit more, continues longer and revs up a tick earlier. This version of R2S DEEP Pearl feels stronger/more capable of handling oil than R2S Pearl, which makes this more of a medium-strength ball and less of a super weak/clean ball for me. Lightning Blackout was 2-2 Right. Started earlier in the mids but not as sharp on the back end as the Road Warrior. Hy-Road was 3-3 Right but a smoother shape on the backend.
