Phaze AI Power
Sam Cooper. Roto Grip Amateur Staff. Man the Storm Phaze AI not only does this ball look sweet going down the lane it reacts just as good as it looks. The TX-16 pearl cover paired with the Velocity AI core will be a great combination for many different bowling styles. I went with a slightly different layout than I typically do with symmetrical pearls. I did a 5.5” pin with a 2.25” pin buffer. When this ball sees the friction, it turns for home in a big way. This feels like the “Storm Reaction” that we have been missing with some balls. There have been many times I will say to myself that ball is not making it back and it just runs the pocket over. If you are a Phaze 2 lover this ball will be the best compliment to one of the greatest balls of all time. The Phaze AI also has a new finishing polish called Power Edge. In comparison to Reacta Gloss, I think Power Edge gives you a more consistent read and also hooks more in oil. On the house shots if you miss the ball in the middle of the lane I feel it has a better chance of striking than previous polished balls. I personally am looking forward to trying more spheres with the Power Edge polish on it. I believe this ball is weaker than the Roto Grip Optimum Idol Pearl but stronger than the Storm Hyroad or 900 Global Xponent Pearl. This ball(if you leave it polished) will need some friction on the lane but when there is it will be a fun ball to throw. Like I said before the people that are going to love this ball the most is when your Phaze 2 is hooking too early or not going through the pins properly. Pull out the Phaze AI and let the best compliment to the Phaze 2 do the work for you.

Storm Phase AI
Storm Phase AI Layout: 4.5 x 4.0 x 2.0 Storm Pin Buffer Layout Rev Rate: 325 rpm, 7 degree of axis tilt, 40 degree of axis rotation Testing information: 41 foot THS (medium to light volume) Bowling Center: Fulton Bowling Center IKON Kegel Machine – Brunswick Anvilane The Storm Phase AI utilizes the TX-16 pearl reactive cover along with the Velocity weight block plus AI Core technology. Can the Phase AI live up to the OG – Phase II? Only time will tell. I threw the Phase AI the last five frames of game 4 of Monday night league after my Roto Grip Optimum Idol Solid quit carrying. I did not have much luck with getting lined up or carrying. I went high the first two shots then 8-pin, 10-pin, and 8-pin. Lol. During my ball review of the Phase AI, I had much better success. I did see a tendency for the ball to miss the break point but I think it was more indicative of the leftover league shot than the Phase AI. I need more time throwing it in different bowling centers before making the decision to add it to my tournament bag or not. Visit your local Storm VIP Pro Shop! #Stormnation #SquadRG

Storm Phaze AI review by Chris Pollentier
Storm Phaze A.I. Coverstock: TX-16 Pearl Reactive Finish: Power Edge Core: Velocity A.I. Core RG: 2.47, Diff: 0.053 (15 lb.) VLS Layout: 4-1/2 x 4 x 2-1/4 Dual Angle Layout: 45 x 4-1/2 x 35 PAP: 5 3/16” right x 5/8” up Rev rate: 400 rpm Average speed: 16.5 mph Location: Prairie Lanes, Sun Prairie WI Pattern: Medium volume THS The Storm Phaze A.I. is the newest iteration of the famed Phaze series of bowling balls and features the iconic Velocity Core. But this time the core is paired with Amplified Inertia (A.I.) technology and is wrapped in the TX-16 pearl coverstock – the pearl version of the Phaze II cover. If that’s not enough, the Phaze A.I. is also the first ball in the Storm lineup to feature the all-new Power Edge polished finish. I typically find myself on the fence when it comes to factory polish. There have been some balls where I’ve left the ball shiny and others where I’ve lightly scuffed the cover with an Abralon pad. With Phaze A.I., I wanted to try out the new Power Edge factory polish before making any changes to the surface. For about the first 10 games I found the reaction to be a bit sensitive to oil than I wanted to see. I decided knock some of the shine off with a used 3000-grit Abralon pad by hand, which resulted in a much better reaction by blending out some of the over/under yet retaining that quicker motion on the backend that Storm is known for. The Phaze A.I. is the perfect complement to the Phaze II. The A.I. is a little bit longer and more responsive off the friction, compared to the clean yet controlled reaction we’ve come to expect from the Phaze II. For me, the Phaze A.I. is a great go-to ball for both league and tournaments play when the lanes have transitioned and you need some extra length and pop on the backend. Bowlers of all styles will get plenty of use out of Phaze A.I., and it will fill that spot in your bag for when the lanes open up and you can create steeper launch angles. You won’t want to miss out on this one. Chris Pollentier Storm Products Pro Shop Staff #StormNation

Storm Phaze AI Ball Review
Hello everyone and welcome to another Beyond the Arrows Ball Reviews brought to you by Striking Results Pro Shop, Bowlifi and Turbo 2 n 1 Grips, today we will be reviewing the new Storm Phaze AI The Phaze AI has a low RG value of 2.47 which means it will rev up early in the mids and a medium to high differential of 0.053 resulting with a big flare potential in the backend. The Phaze AI features the Velocity core being wrapped in the Amplified Inertia outer core. The Velocity A.I. Core elevates the low RG/high differential symmetric combination, enhancing ball dynamics and significantly boosting pin carry. This advanced outer core smooths out the backend reaction without over-reacting. In addition, The Phaze AI features the brand-new polishing compound called Power Edge. By combining the TX-16 Pearl coverstock previously seen in the Storm Journey you will the strongest symmetric pearl on the market. I did a ball comparison to the Storm Lightning Blackout and the Roto Grip Optimum Idol Pearl on a 42 ft house shot, 25 ml of oil. In comparison to the Lightning Blackout, the Phaze AI starts up sooner and has bigger footprint on the backend which is great for sport patterns with more volume up front. The Blackout is very smooth through the mids and off the spot in the backend which gives you a very predictable ball motion good for the wet/dry backends. In comparison to the Optimum Idol Pearl, again the Phaze AI starts up quicker due to strength of the core and cover combination but the Idol is again very smooth through the mids but does pack a punch for the backend. As per the surface adjustments, the Phaze AI comes out of box with Power Edge polish which is 500>1000>Power Edge On heavy oil the optimum surface would be a 500>1000 grit Abralon. In the bag, will be the Roto Grip Xcell, HRP, Phaze AI and Storm DNA Coil Please pick up a Storm Phaze AI at a Striking Results Proshop near you and please like and subscribe to my page Beyond the Arrows Ball reviews. Symmetrical Pearls are BACK! This ball is really clean through the fronts but unlike most symmetrical pearls this ball picks up in the midlane and is very continuous off the pattern instead of being quick and unpredictable like most symmetrical pearls. Depending on the bowler you can use this on the fresh, or it’s a great 1-2 punch to the Phaze II. Overall the phaze symmetrical pearls are back!

Phaze A.I.
Finally, a pearl Phaze is BACK!! But how does this one improve upon the most recent iteration, the Phaze V? First, the updated core features A.I. tech. So, longer continuation window, more gradual change of direction, and better carry. Second, the coverstock is TX-16 Pearl, a healthy step up from R2S Pearl which was featured on the Phaze V. With all of these things together, you get a Phaze that is true to the identity of Storm but also provides great length, continuation and versatility. With a cover that can handle more oil and a core that keeps going from bigger angles than the original, the Phaze A.I. is a really impressive piece that fills a gap and is SUPER useable on today's conditions.

Phaze A.I.
Storm Phaze A.I. Coverstock: TX-16 Pearl Reactive Finish: Power Edge Core: Velocity A.I. Core (14pd.) RG: 2.52 Differential: 0.052 Layout: 5 x 4 x 3 1/2 - 2LS Layout Extras: 2 1/8 Finger Depth, "X" - 4 1/2 D and 1 Inch Left Tester: PAP 6 1/2 R, 1 1/4 D Review: The Storm Phaze A.I. features the Velocity A.I. core and the TX-16 coverstock made famous on the Phaze II. The Phaze A.I. will be that perfect ball in the arsenal for your high to medium/medium type conditions where you want great continuous reaction through the pocket. At the OOB finish the all new Power Edge finishing process appears to be a home run. I was introduced to Power Edge early on in our MatchMaker kits. The surface appears tackier than Reacta Gloss. Also, in previous offerings Reacta Gloss, at times, has been known to be a touch smooth. The all new Power Edge applied to the Phaze A.I. will make this ball intriguing to bowling enthusiasts. The Phaze A.I. provides nice length and great motion off the spot. For this ball I have left the coverstock untouched at this time. If you are one that likes to hit the surface immediately a slightly worn 2000 Abralon pad should do the trick. In comparing the Phaze A.I. to the Phaze II I was pleasantly surprised the Phaze A.I. went through the front part of the lane more than I initially thought. Also, being finished with Power Edge versus a solid it makes sense the Phaze A.I. will pick up on the lane a little later than the Phaze II. Downlane the Phaze A.I. shows a distinct strong shape however it is not as jumpy as one might think making the Phaze A.I. versatile on a variety of conditions. Is the Phaze A.I strong? Yes, it sure is, but I did feel even when I got steep with my angles the Phaze A.I. did not quit. The Phaze A.I. will thrive and see more use with open v. closed angles. I'm definitely excited to test the Phaze A.I. over time and truly believe this flagship ball will be the best one to date. Phaze AI
Game-Changer for Hook Potential The Storm Phaze AI bowling ball is an absolute game-changer when it comes to hook potential. Outfitted with the TX-16 Pearl Reactive coverstock, this ball is perfect for medium to heavy oil conditions. The Phaze AI’s low RG (2.47) and high differential (0.053) Velocity Core combination translates to excellent flare potential and strong backend reaction. I’ve noticed a more consistent motion through the midlane, giving me the confidence to play deeper angles with ease.

Welcome back as we have a new release from Storm! I want to thank you for watching and reading these reviews and hope it gives you some information to take back when looking to get your next bowling ball. TESTING ENVIRONMENT Length:42 Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc): House Shot BALL: Storm Phaze AI Coverstock: TX-16 Pearl Coverstock Core: : Velocity A.I. Core Finish: Power Edge RG: 2.52 (14 Pounds) Differential: 0.052 (14 Pounds) MB/PSA: NA (14 Pounds) ME: Right-Handed Tweener Speed: 13-14 mph Rev Rate: 210 PAP: 4 7/8 right 5/8 up Ball Layout: 5x3x4 The return of the benchmark ball is here. Personally I have not had much success with any Phaze balls that came after the Phaze lll. I was really looking to the Phaze AI as technology changes and involves and I like what I am seeing in the SPI AI balls. This ball also has the all new Power Edge polish making this ball a little different from the ones before. With the release of the ION Pro which in my opinion is a stronger version of the Phaze AI makes the Phaze Al lower than the benchmark line. When we were testing we were on a fresh THS and started up the outside and it never saw the friction so I moved left and moved left and I just never saw the motion I was looking for. I did hit the ball with a 2000 pad to remove the polish much like I used to do with React Gloss as I found the balls never touched the lane and missed the friction. With some surface the ball started to “see it” just a tad but never felt like this was going to be a first or second ball out of the bag. I can really see this ball having success when there was less oil, shorter pattern or later in a set or block. I will continue to see if this ball will stay in the bag by using it after league and see if I can get it dialed in a little better. Storm Phaze AI
Storm Phaze AI Review Layout VLS-5x4 3/8x2 5/8 Dual Angle-55x5x38 Surface-Storm Power Edge Storm Bowling has continued the Phaze series with the new Phaze AI which features the velocity core with AI Technology wrapped with the TX-16 in a pearl version. Phaze AI will be a great compliment to the Phaze 2 it will be longer than Phaze 2 with a stronger backend. Compared to the other Phaze pearl balls the Phaze AI will read the midlane better with still a strong continuous motion on the backend without missing breakpoint. For me Phaze AI will be a great step down after throwing my Ion Pro or Phaze 2 when the lane transitions and I need more length and a stronger backend. The Phaze AI with the new Storm Power Edge finish creates nice length with a stronger backend.

Phaze AI Review
Everyone knows the Phaze 2 is one of the most iconic Storm balls they have ever produced. Fast forward 8 years later, it has returned, this time with an upgraded pearl version. Using the Velocity Core with AI technology and the TX-16 Pearl Coverstock, finished with the new Power Edge polish, the Storm Phaze AI brings back the glory days of the Phaze 2!! I drilled my layout at 50 x 5 x 35. I tested it on at my home center's (Cortlandt Lanes) 45ft 27mLs house shot and the Phaze AI did not disappoint. The ball gave me a stronger midlane read, and with a finish polish, I saw more angle at the end, something we have not seen with previous pearl Phazes. I found more transition once the lanes broke down and was able to move right, giving the ball more track area and still that big angular motion. Even playing in the oil, the Phaze AI is still very controllable. While I wasn't able to compare it to the Phaze 2, I threw the Summit Ascent (70 x 5 3/8 x 40) for comparison, since they are both symmetrical pieces. With the Solid Coverstock, it has similar shape as the Phaze, reading the midlane early, but with a smooth finish to not overreact into the pocket. I would find the Ascent and Phaze AI to be your 1-2 punch on fresh conditions (mostly medium-high volume patterns). I highly recommend this ball, especially if you are a fan of the Phaze 2, this would be the complimentary version!! Be sure to stop by your local pro shop and drill up a Phaze AI today!! Phaze AI
The Storm Phaze AI bowling ball has arrived, and it’s already making waves in the bowling community. As an avid bowler and a fan of Storm products, I was eager to put the Phaze AI to the test and see how it stacks up against its predecessor, the Storm Phaze 2. The Phaze AI retains the impressive design elements that made the Phaze 2 a favorite among bowlers while incorporating advanced technology that enhances performance. The Phaze AI features the new “AI” core, which is designed to provide a more controlled reaction compared to the original Phaze 2 core. In terms of overall hook potential, the Phaze AI surpasses the Phaze 2. The combination of the AI core and the TX-16 coverstock allows for an aggressive hook motion that responds well to both oil patterns and varying lane conditions. Whether you’re on a fresh shot or dealing with heavy carrydown, the Phaze AI hooks consistently and offers versatility across different environments. While the Storm Phaze 2 had its strengths in mid-lane read and backend recovery, the Phaze AI takes it a step further. The backend reaction is noticeably improved, offering a more defined change of direction without sacrificing the smoothness that bowlers appreciate. One of the standout features of the Phaze AI is its adaptability. During my tests, I was able to use it effectively on both fresh and burnt lanes. In conclusion, the Storm Phaze AI takes and old favorite and makes it event better. While the Phaze 2 remains a solid choice, the advancements found in the Phaze AI’s core make it a worthy investment for bowlers looking to elevate their game. Its combination of a manageable hook, controllability, and versatility on the lanes makes it a must-try for both competitive and recreational bowlers alike. If you're seeking a ball that can handle a variety of conditions and offer a reliable reaction, the Storm Phaze AI should definitely be on your radar. Sean Daniels 900 Global Staffer Hillsboro, OR

Phaze AI- new and improved Phaze from Storm
The Phaze AI takes one of Storm’s best balls, the Phaze II, and “modernizes” it. The Phaze AI features the same TX-16 cover which was on the Phaze II, but pearlizes it. The Phaze II has solid TX-16. Ion Pro has TX-16 hybrid. The Phaze AI is TX-16 pearl. So it skids easily through the front part of the lane. The next big change is to take the original Velocity core from the Phaze II, but re-engineer it with A.I. The result is a slightly lower RG which helps it rev up and not miss the midlane, despite the pearl cover. And, it features a higher differential which means it has extra giddy up on the back end to ensure continuous downlane motion and maximizes pin carry. This ball should fit right in your middle bag when the fronts start to dry up or on patterns with less volume and when you need to have a strong back end reaction, especially when your angles are open or your back point is out. Mine is drilled pin up, 4 ½ from my PAP.

Phaze AI
Phaze AI Dual Angle Layout One: 45 x 2 x 45 Storm Vector Layout One: 2 x 5 3/8 x 1 3/8 Dual Angle Layout Two: 70 x 3 ¾ x 20 Storm Vector Layout Two: 3 ¾ x 5 3/8 x 1 1/8 The Storm Phaze AI features the TX-16 Pearl Reactive cover stock wrapped around the Velocity AI Core and also features the all new smooth edge polish. The first Phaze I drilled with a short pin layout to allow myself to combat over/under reaction at my primary league house. This ball give me a nice smooth roll with plenty of backend pop and hitting power. My 2nd AI I drilled with a typical long and strong layout. The smooth edge polish in combination with the TX-16 Pearl Reactive cover gave me a reaction I’ve never seen from Storm in the past. The ball really dug its teeth in the mid lane but still was clean and strong on the backend. When this ball made its move, it continued through the pins with more power then any other Storm Pearl I’ve thrown in the past.

Coverstock: TX-16 Pearl Reactive Core: Velicity A.I. Finish: Power Edge Hook Potential: High RG: 2.47 Diff: .053 Lane Condition: Medium Oil Layout: 5.5 x 3.75 x 1 VLS Pin Up LANE CONDITION Length: 42' Volume: Medium/Heavy Type: THS COMMENTS The New Storm Phaze AI is a versatile and high-performance pearl bowling ball, perfect for those who seek a clean and sharp backend reaction The Phaze AI features the Velocity AI low RG, high Diff Symmetric Core, which provides a strong footprint and consistent motion through the pins. This core is known for its ability to maintain energy and deliver a powerful backend reaction. The ball has the TX-16 Pearl Reactive coverstock used first on the Storm Journey but finished with the new Power Edge polish. This combination ensures traction and a smooth, clean glide on the lane, making it ideal for medium/light heavy conditions. The high Diff of .056 flare potential gives the Phaze AI a strong hook potential, making it suitable for bowlers who also like to play the deep angles. The ball's ability to read the midlane and continue through the pins is impressive and reminds me of the OG 900G Zen only better due to the AI core. Used my now standard pin up layout the versatility was high which made the ball playable up the boards or as I migrated left to find the oil in the heads. Consistent roll and readability at the mid-lane gave me the confidence to use during all 3 league games. This ball is versatile, with the cover was lightly sanded with a 2000 pad. Its strong backend motion and control makes it a reliable choice for different styles and conditions. In my opinion, anyone looking for a Zen replacement, pick up a Phaze A.I. The ball's strong coverstock and core allow for a large variety of drilling layouts. A powerful and reliable bowling ball that can enhance your game, especially on challenging oil patterns and in league. Its combination of a strong backend reaction and consistent performance makes it a valuable addition to my arsenal and yours. Visit your VIP Proshop today! Phaze AI
I recently drilled the new Storm Phaze Ai 5x5x1 VLS to give me a little cleaner look through the fronts and mids, and to have a decent amount of flare down lane. This ball does not disappoint! The new Power Edge Finish allows the teeth from the surface underneath the polish to still grab and dig into the lane, in other words, this ball hooks every time! As far as a tournament bag goes... this ball would fit the ball 3 range in a 6 ball arsenal. In comparison to the journey (same cover stock), this ball has more down lane motion as opposed to the earlier rolling motion of a journey. Comparing it to its big brother, Phaze 2, this would be the ideal step down from the beloved phaze 2. The same velocity core gives it the same shape, while the pearl cover stock helps it get through the lane cleaner. Overall, this ball is a 10/10 from me!

Phaze AI!
The Phaze AI features the Velocity core found in all the previous Phaze balls but is now surrounded by AI tech and wrapped in TX-16 pearl. This produces the first stateside Phaze that is a true pearl version of the Phaze 2. The Phaze AI for me is going to be a good piece when the front part of the lane is hooking but I need something to go more forward off the end of the pattern. The Phaze A.I. is Awesome!
Phaze A.I. • Storm • Master Series Coverstock • TX-16 Pearl Reactive • Finish Power Edge Core • Velocity A.I. Core Weight • 15 lbs. RG • 2.47 Differential • .053 Layout • 4 1/2 x 4 3/4 x 1 3/4 Tester PAP • 5” R, 5/8” D Tester Axis Tilt • 9° Testers Rev Rate • 250 Test Pattern • 42' THS (Typical House Shot) • Modified, Kegel Stone Street The Phaze A.I. is another winning example of how Storm continues its legacy of being the Bowlers Company! Simply put, the Phaze A.I. is Storm's next generation of excellence in the Phaze line! The combination of Velocity Core and A.I. Technology creates the strongest striking Phaze yet! And when you add the TX-16 Pearl reactive coverstock to the mix, you get- legendary performance! So, let's take a closer look at what makes the new Phaze A.I. so awesome! If you owned a Phaze II, you know how consistent and predictable the Velocity core is. If you owned a Phaze V, you would love the smooth precision the Velocity core provided off the pattern. Now, with the new Phaze A.I., you get those proven characteristics you love and the added strength and impact of the A.I. core technology all wrapped up in one! I loved how the Velocity A.I. core creates a well-defined motion as it heads down the lane, and because of the A.I. technology, I appreciated the smooth and crisp driving motion I saw coming off the pattern. But what I enjoyed most besides the pin-crushing impact of A.I. technology was its driving continuation! The Phaze A.I. drives hard and keeps driving through the pin deck while taking no prisoners in its path. So, if you are a straighter player like me, the Velocity A.I. Core will bring you results you can count on. The TX-16 Pearl reactive coverstock adds a new level of traction and control in the Phaze A.I... And for a Pearl to be that responsive out of the box for a straighter player like me tells you just how good the TX-16 Pearl is. I found the out-of-box Power Edge finish on the TX-16 Pearl performs very well when playing along the wet/dry or shim line you see as the night goes on. The TX-16 is very clean when it finds friction and has a subtle yet crisp motion when it finds it! However, I struggled a bit with fresh oil. So, I tried a surface change for my higher speed-low rev game to see how it would fair. I took my Phaze A.I. and sanded it with 1500-grit Abralon and followed it up with Storm's new Power Edge polish, and my Phaze A.I. lit up the lanes! I loved how the TX-16 was clean through the heads on a fresh THS and found a well-defined bite in the mid-lane, and with this surface change, I loved how the Phaze A.I. was crisp, potent and strong rolling off the pattern. And those of us who are straighter players know that the harder the ball rolls, the more striking power you will have! So, if you're a straighter player like me, the TX-16 with the right surface adjustment for your game will undoubtedly bring results to your scores. Lastly, to end this review, the Phaze A.I. is the next generation of excellence in the Storms Phaze line. The Phaze A.I. is a well-produced piece of machinery to add to nearly anyone's arsenal. And if you are a straighter player like me, the Phaze A.I. is the ultimate companion to add to your game and self-confidence as a bowler! Phaze AI Review
Layout: 5 x 3 x 2-1/2 Surface: Power Edge Rev Rate: 470 Tilt: 13 degrees This is the pearl Phaze you have been waiting for! This is that compliment to the Phaze 2 that you need! This ball is the real deal, and I will tell you why. The new Phaze AI brings back the Velocity core but with AI technology and it's paired with the TX-16 Pearl Coverstock (Finally) finished with the new Power Edge polish! The AI technology lowers the RG a point and raises the differential a point to give a slightly earlier and stronger downlane motion then if it did not have AI Technology. Not only does this ball read the midlane as strong as the Phaze 2, but it gives that angular pop down lane that most of the pearl Phaze balls have been missing. This Phaze AI gives me the old Storm "Angular" ball motion that some of the more recent pearl balls have been missing. On my 44ft Typical House shot, I saw exactly what I expected out of it. Clean through the front, strong midlane roll and pretty fast off the breakpoint. This reaction is great but more ideal for the transition to burn phase of the pattern. On the fresh, it wanted to be a little too angular down lane and was harder to control as you would expect. Shots that missed in, hooked more and those that missed right, recovered, but didn't quite carry as well. The better I threw this ball, the better it certainly looked. Compared to the Phaze 2, I saw about 2 more feet of overall length and much more angle down lane. As the pattern developed and broke down, this Phaze AI got better and better the more I moved my feet to the inside part of the lane. There was no fear that this ball wouldn't recover enough down lane or when I missed into the oil. When I see this type of ball reaction, my eyes widen and I am able to relax and make great shots because I know the ball will do the right thing. If you are on a typical house pattern that hooks a little more in the front part of the lane, this could be your choice. If you love the Phaze 2 and want a cleaner more angular version, this ball is definitely your choice. If you love the way Storm Pearl balls used to be, then pick this up! I have a lot of great things to say about this ball. It made my league arsenal immediately and hasn't disappointed me. On sport patterns, the Power Edge finish makes the ball a little inconsistent. The strong down lane motion can make it a little more difficult to control depending on the condition. Scratching the surface with a 1000 or 2000 abralon pad to cut the shine will help the control of this ball and make this more usable when the conditions are tough. Bringing the surface down to the same as the Phaze 2, will give the AI a reaction much closer to the Phaze 2 while still being cleaner through the front. The AI will have no problem opening the lane up if that's the desired reaction. Drilling this ball pin down will give a smoother motion and slightly more control. The Phaze AI will give that down lane reaction that Storm fans have not seen in some time. Designed for medium il conditions, it will fit most bowler styles. I recommend this ball to anyone who like to see length and backend shape or just want a compliment to the Phaze 2. Adam Chase Storm Staff

Storm Phaze A.I. – WWRD 10/18/2024
Cover: TX-16 Pearl Reactive Core: Velocity A.I. RG: 2.47 RG. Diff.: 0.053 Finish: Power Edge Fragrance: Cherry Vanilla Cupcake Storm’s new Phaze A.I. is a Pearl Symmetric Piece. This piece is good for Medium Volume Patterns. PAP is 5 5/16 R 1 3/16 Up. Rev Rate: 400. Speed: 16.5. Drilled this piece with the Pin Up between the Fingers and CG kicked out 1” from the palm. I threw this on a fresh house pattern. Out of Box ball motion was clean through the fronts, started in the mids with continuous backend through the pins. I compared this piece to the Phaze II. Phaze II was 2-2 weaker than the AI. Phaze II started a little earlier in the mids but didn’t get around the corner as well as the A.I. This will be a good piece to switch too once the Phaze II loses energy downlane. This is a Versatile piece that fits all styles of bowlers. Storm Phaze A.I. Review by Lonnie Pemberton
Coverstock: TX-16 Pearl Reactive Core: Velocity A.I. Finish: Power Edge RG: 2.47 (15) Differential: 0.053 (15) ME: Right-Handed Tweener Speed: 12-13 mph Rev Rate: 315 Axis Tilt: 14° Axis Rotation: 74° PAP: 5 1/8 R 7/8 Up Ball Layout: Pin In Ring 4 1/2 Pin To Pap 3 Inch Pin Buffer The newest addition to Storm's Master Line is their latest Phaze. This one Uses a pearl version of the TX-16 cover featured on the Phaze II and adds the Amplified Inertia (A.I.) technology to the Velocity core. The Phaze A.I also features a new finish called power edge. Storm has chased a ball that really exemplifies what makes the Phaze II great while providing a bit easier length through the front. In previous versions I always felt that they sacrificed a little of the ball motion that makes the phaze II what it is. This time they might have cracked the code. I tested the Phaze A.I. in league. As I've explained in many of my ball reviews our house has lots of friction worn into the front lane panels and they use a longer, higher volume pattern to attempt to combat the early friction. The problems arise when the front of the lane transitions so much faster than the back. This transition neccessitates a ball which can clear the front but still read in the mid-lane because if it sees the front it will hook in the front and if if doesn't read in the mid-lane it's gonna have difficulty getting back through the tighter back end. All of this can be a nightmare when you're trying to navigate the oil as it breaks down, while finding a way to get your ball to continue through the pins. The Phaze A.I is hands down the best ball I've used to date in this spot. Game 2 when the lanes start to change it provides a seamless move off of a ball like the Phaze II. It's also very continuous so you can stay in it through the 3rd game without much effort. It's exactly what it needed to be. A little cleaner than the Phaze II through the front, still gives the great consistant mid-lane read and a little more responsive to counteract the increased angle from moving in on the lane. The Phaze AI should fit with all styles of bowlers very well. The speed dominant guys will love it as the lanes break down and the rev dominant guys will like it everywhere. Phaze AI
The newest addition to the Phaze line is the Phaze AI. Using the AI technology and for the first time the new power edge polish this ball will get down the lane and give some strong backend. I used a 40x5x45 layout on the one in the video. #bowlersmart #stormnation #coolwick #viseinserts

Storm Phaze AI
The Storm Phaze AI is going to be the must have ball of the the year. With the 5 x 5 x 4.5 layout and the new Power Edge polish on the TX-16 pearl cover, it’s no surprise that it offers a unique backend motion. The Velocity AI core really seems to enhance that characteristic, allowing bowlers to create impressive recovery even as the lanes transition. It’s great to hear that it can help open up the lane after the oil breaks down—definitely a valuable asset for league play or tournaments. Have you had a chance to try it out on the lanes?
