The Phaze II Pearl is what bowlers worldwide have been asking for — a versatile, responsive complement to our lineup. For nearly 10 years, the premier choice for symmetric performance on medium to heavy oil has undoubtedly been the Phaze II. The Phaze II Pearl broadens the spectrum of performance within the Master line by bridging the gap between the original Phaze II Solid and !Q Tour series.

? The Phaze II Pearl was highly anticipated because Storm took the classic Phaze II design and updated it with a pearl reactive cover (TX-25 Pearl) on the trusted Velocity core — giving it cleaner length and a strong, continuous backend compared to the original solid version. Your style: Right-handed 340 RPM rev rate 16.5 mph ball speed I'm a senior tweener to who tends to benefit from balls that control friction without over-reacting early. The Phaze II Pearl fits this well because it revs up nicely without flipping too early and the pearl cover clears the heads cleanly for late lane read, which suits my revs. Strong but smooth backend motion I noticed a very identifiable arc that doesn’t over-hook but still drives through the pins with authority. This is especially helpful on fresh or medium oil where you don’t want to hook too soon. Versatile on most house conditions and sport patterns because of its medium-to-heavy oil designed core and cover, it’s not a snappy symmetric ball Compared to the original Phaze II solid its extra length and sharper move on the backend is what I see. Cleaner through the front with strong continuation, doesn't grab too early playing straighter or deeper lines. Continuous motion on my fresh league condition. When it starts to break down I just moved another zone left as my late-game adjustments. Drilled layout (5×4×2) to give a good balance of length and backend pop with revs. If you like more continuation, keep the factory Power Edge finish. If you need it smoother early, a light polish or 2000–3000 Abralon leaves room for length but smooths friction. Tim Ruth Storm Proshop Staff PSO at Bowlersmart inside Bowlero University Tampa Bay

Phaze 2 Pearl review
Introducing the Storm Phaze 2 Pearl featuring the upgraded TX-25 Pearl Reactive coverstock. This ball is ideal for medium to heavy oil conditions when you need a consistent and powerful roll when your asymmetric balls are just too much. I am slightly speed dominant, rev challenged 220-250ish, low tilt and high rotation. I drilled mine 25 x 3.50x 25 same as my OG Phaze 2. My axis point is 4 3/8 over 1 3/8 up. This ball is great for me on medium oil conditions. I love starting with my PHAZE 2 then migrating right into the Phaze 2 Pearl. It’s perfectly smooth transition ball. The pearl we all needed.
The Phaze 2 Pearl has been a great addition to my bag. The quick revving Velocity Core gets this ball flaring in the midlane and the pearl TX-25 cover stock adds more length as compared to the original Phaze 2. When compared to other pearls like the Rock Star Amped or Next Factor, the Phase 2 Pearl reads the lane the soonest. There is still plenty of punch left downlane, however the motion is not a hockey stick. For me, this ball is very forgiving on my house shot. It has enough engine to hook in the oil, but its also smooth enough off of the friction to avoid big splits through the nose on misses right. This ball also looked good Game 3 on my sport pattern over the last few weeks.

Storm Phaze II Pearl Review by Lonnie Pemberton
TESTING ENVIRONMENT Length:44 Volume: Med-High Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc):THS COMMENTS Cover: TX-25 Pearl Core: Velocity Finish: Power Edge RG: 2.48 (15) Diff: 0.051 (15) ME: Right-Handed Tweener Speed: 12-13 mph Rev Rate: 315 Axis Tilt: 14° Axis Rotation: 74° PAP: 5 1/8 R 7/8 Up Ball Layout: Pin Over Ring 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 X 1 1/4 VLS The GOAT is getting a new companion piece and it's the one everyone has been waiting for. The Phaze II has stayed in the SPI product line for an unprecidented amount of time. It's ball motion can't be matched and it's just as in play today as when it released. Storm has taken the now legendary velocity core and wrapped it in a responsive pearl cover called TX 25 Pearl. The velocity's mid-lane read and motion now comes with a cover that helps create a more dynamic shape. I tested the Phaze II Pearl at my home center on our house pattern. The lanes were pretty toasty when I got to them so there was plenty of friction. I had an idea of the Phaze II pearl being more of a game 3 ball for getting left and covering boards. The first thing I noticed was how aggressive the mid-lane read was. As I've mentioned in basically every review our front lane panels have alot of built in friction. The phaze II Pearl read earlier than I had expected and was very responsive. I definitely could see it being a game 1-2 ball for me in the right conditions. In a house with more head oil or if I had more ball speed it would be great on the break-down but the very first thing i noticed was the diffference on the shots where I eased up on the speed and I felt like it had to be very firm to get it through the front. When I threw it hard the ball was fantastic. It's every bit as consistant and reading the mid-lane as it's solid counter part. This ball will be very popular with a lot of bowlers. I think most people will be surprised how early in the night you can go to this ball and how much pop off the spot you get. If you've been struggling with creating enough shape to get those corner pins out this is the ball for you! Phaze 2 Pearl bowling ball
This ball is clean though the fronts. With alot of backend. But yet when you miss inside, you think its coming in high. Instead it holds its line. There's only one other ball that does this. The Phaze 2 Soild, these 2 balls go hand in Hand with each other. Very forgiving on house and sport patterns. If you liked the Phaze 2 Solid then you need this ball..

PhazeII Pearl
My Take: After drilling and throwing the Phaze II Pearl for a series of sessions on medium-to-heavy oil house shots, here’s how it actually performed for my style: Overall Feel & Shape The Phaze II Pearl has a TX-25 Pearl reactive coverstock paired with the classic Velocity core, finished at the factory with a polished Power Edge surface. This combo gives the ball a clean look through the front and a smooth but defined backend motion. It lets the ball preserve energy rather than rolling up too soon and hooking too early. This is exactly what you want when speed is ~15–16 mph and revs are around 300 RPM — you need that front-lane forgiveness to avoid hooking before the breakpoint. This ball doesn’t feel like just a shiny version of the solid — it’s got a distinct identity: length plus control. This is where it shines for me. It continues through the breakpoint with a smooth arc, not a sharp skid-flip. I got lots of continuation into the pocket, which helped me carry strikes even when I was slightly inside my target. With ~300 RPM, this ball doesn’t back up — it reads the oil and then makes a strong but controllable move downlane. Compared to a strong solid like the original Phaze II, this pearl version reads the pattern later and keeps energy into the pins — great for when lanes start to transition. On a fresh medium pattern, this ball glides and then hooks nicely, giving you shape without being wild. As lanes break down and transition, I didn’t feel like it over-reacted — just kept continuously working toward the pocket. I could still control the shot without it just rolling out. For someone with your numbers, it feels like a natural pairing between a solid backend motion and the forgiveness needed for a 300 RPM game. Great as a transition piece between a strong solid ball and something more angular ⭐ Final thoughts The Phaze II Pearl is an excellent choice if you want: Clean fronts, strong but predictable backend and control with shape on house patterns For my speed and rev rate, it wasn’t too much, wasn’t too little — it hit a comfortable sweet spot. Stronger than a typical pearl but with more shape than a dull polished ball. If you’re coming off a strong solid or hybrid and want something that brings controllable length plus pop, this ball is absolutely worth considering. #Stormnation Visit a VIP proshop today!

Storm Phaze II Pearl review by Chris Pollentier
Storm Phaze II Pearl Coverstock: TX-25 Pearl Reactive Finish: Power Edge Core: Velocity Core RG: 2.48, Diff: 0.051 (15 lb.) VLS Layout: 5 x 4 x 2-1/2 Dual Angle Layout: 50 x 5 x 35 PAP: 5 3/16” right x 5/8” up Rev rate: 400 rpm Average speed: 16.5 mph Location: Prairie Lanes, Sun Prairie WI Pattern: Medium volume THS The long wait for the Storm Phaze II Pearl is finally over! Powered by the same Velocity Core we’ve come to know and love in the Phaze lineup, this one is wrapped in the newly updated TX-25 Pearl cover to better match up with today’s lanes conditions. The result is a true pearl compliment to the Phaze II Solid – it’s even the same colors! I’ve been able to throw this ball for a couple weeks in both league and tournament play, and thus far it has lived up to expectations. The Phaze II Pearl still has that consistent midlane roll you expect in Phaze ball but gives that little bit of extra responsiveness on the backend thanks to the pearl cover. I typically find myself on the fence when it comes to factory polish. There have been some balls where I’ve left the ball shiny and others where I’ve lightly scuffed the cover with an Abralon pad. With Phaze II Pearl, I really wanted to compare it to the Solid before making any changes to the surface. So far I have yet to touch the surface. Storm’s Power Edge finish has really been dialed in since the initial launch, and here it helps separate the reaction differences between the pearl and solid. The Storm Phaze II Pearl is exactly what you’d expect a pearlized version of the Phaze II to be. The Phaze II Pearl helps bridge the gap between Phaze II Solid and balls like !Q Tour, Hy-Road, or Typhoon. There truly isn’t much more to say – if you’ve been longing for a pearl version of the Phaze II, this is it! Chris Pollentier Storm Products Pro Shop Staff #StormNation

Storm Phaze II Pearl Ball Review by PJ Haggerty
If you’ve bowled leagues, tournaments, or watched the PBA Tour on television in the last 10+ years, there’s a ball you’ve consistently seen, and that’s the Phaze II from Storm. From league bowlers to tournament players, it’s been an extremely versatile ball that all types of styles have succeeded with. Recently, our wizards at Storm decided to create a pearl version, and it’s been a complete home run. There’s been different versions of the Phaze line, but I think the Phaze II Pearl compliments the original Phaze II perfectly. I’ve drilled one so far and absolutely love it. I drilled it with the following layout: 5.5 x 5 x 2. This puts the pin above my middle finger with a slight shift of the CG. I’ve left the surface alone and have had the most success when balls like the Ion Pro Solid, Equinox Solid, and Phaze II have done their job. When patterns start to break down and you need to open your angles, but there’s still a decent amount of volume on the lane, the Phaze II Pearl is the perfect option to go to. With the RG still on the low side (2.48), strong differential (.051), and a pearl, responsive cover, this ball is excellent for league and tournaments. Also, I’ve seen all styles of players strike a ton with the Phaze II Pearl. Also, it’s holiday season! Use those gift cards or put it on your wish list for a Phaze II Pearl from Storm! #StormNation

Phaze II Pearl
The new Storm Phaze II Pearl features the same Velocity Core found in the original Phaze II, but this new release features the all-new TX-25 Pearl Reactive Coverstock finished with Power Edge. At 15 pounds, the RG is a low 2.48 and the differential is .051. I have drilled many Phaze II originals, I still always have a pin up and a pin down in my tournament arsenal. The new Phaze II Pearl is nothing like the Phaze IV or V, those balls had much weaker covers. The Phaze II Pearl is exactly like the original, just in a pearl coverstock. Total hook is almost the same as the original, however the pearl has a much stronger backend motion than the original. This ball is the PERFECT complement to the original Phaze II. This ball is already racking up honor scores left and right. Anyone who loved the Phaze II, and that is a lot of people, will love the Phaze II Pearl. This is the ball we have been waiting for a long time, but it is worth the wait!!

Phaze 2 Pearl
It's here!! Phaze 2 Pearl takes the best parts of previous iterations and combines them into the perfect complement to one of the best balls ever, the Phaze 2. While the Phaze 4 and Phaze 5 featured the same core, but weaker cover formulas, the Phaze 2 Pearl features an updated stronger formula. This is also true for the Phaze A.I., although the shape is distinctly different due to the A.I. core technology. The result is exactly what you want: a strong, smooth, continuous symmetrical pearl ball that fits great with other options in the line. This one is a no-brainer! -Chase Valenzuela

Phaze II Pearl by RGR
Storm Phaze II Pearl: UPGRADED TX-25™ PEARL REACTIVE COVERSTOCK Through extensive testing, it was obvious the pearl cover needed to be upgraded to maximize performance. In order to create a truly worthy counterpart, we decided to keep things as simple as possible. The exact same colors in the Phaze II have been used in the Phaze II Pearl. This ball is finished with Power Edge™. VELOCITY™ CORE The Velocity Core perfectly blends an early revving motion with an assertive, yet controllable backend. You get trusted backend and consistent motion in one refined performance package. Layout: 5 x 2 x 2 ½ My Specs: Rev rate 420’s, ball speed 15.3 to 15.8 mph off the hand, axis tilt of 16 degrees and axis rotation of 70 degrees, PAP is 3 15/16th up 3/16th. Tested on Pro-lane surface on a 43ft medium volume house pattern and HPL with a 44ft house pattern. The WAIT is finally OVER! The Storm Phaze II Pearl hit the market with a HUGE splash and has not slowed down. The #1 requested ball from bowlers in the past decade has FINALLY made it to the lanes. I have drilled a few Phaze IIs in my bowling career, especially since 2022. It was the first ball I drilled after coming back to bowling after a life changing car wreck back in 2022. The P2P, as I love to call it, has had an overwhelming response at Storm Matchmaker Live events I have coordinated and attended since it was released. The P2P can be the first ball out of the bag or it can be the transitional ball, it covers all aspects of the game in league and tournament play. A little stronger in the backend than the Roto Grip Rockstar Amped, but not too flippy like a symmetrical pearl ball would normally have. I actually added to my travel league bags because it fits better for me than my Equinox. I have used it as a first out of the bag ball in league and tournament play, and also have used it as a “second choice” after my first choice in practice did not have the look down lane I was expecting. I now usually start with the Roto Grip Rockstar, then migrate into the P2P, then eventually into the Roto Grip Gremlin or 900 Global Viking as the games and tournaments progress. The P2P will stay around just as long as the OG Phaze II because it is just that GOOD! Stop by your Storm VIP Pro Shop to drill up this MUCH anticipated ball from Storm. Here is the upcoming Matchmaker Live! events I will be coordinating: Jan. 10th @ Trindle Bowl in Mechanicsburg Jan. 18th @ Steel City Bowl and Brew with BowlerX in Bethlehem Jan. 31st @ Perry Lanes with Shotmakers Pro Shop in Baltimore Area

Yup
The Phaze II Pearl has been a very reliable ball when the lanes begin to transition for me. Now while I have actually never had the original Phaze II, this ball is making me second guess that decision. Right now I am able to play a touch straighter with this ball when the lanes begin to transition and there have been a couple times that if the outsides are moving I can get away with sending out and it has no issues recovering and getting through the pins. I am very happy I gave this ball a shot as it has made it into my tournament bag rotation.

O She rolls!
Well, where to start, but this ball for me hooks more than I thought right out of the box. A little to much down lane motion where I bowl. One of the best smelling bowling balls for sure! What I did was hit it with a 3000 pad, and get a little lane shine, (1 night of league) and it rolled a lot better for me. This ball to me reads the lanes pretty easy, rolls very well, and reacts very well. everybody is different, myself it rolled well just a bit to much snap on the back end, but nothing but a simple surface adjustment and it fits in perfect!

Phaze 2 Pearl- the wait is finally over
Ever since the Phaze 2 burst on the bowling scene almost a decade ago, everyone has been clamoring for a pearl version. While there were iterations (Phaze 3, Phaze 4, Phaze 5, Phaze AI, none were actually the same core (Phaze AI had AI core) with same cover as Phaze 2 (the 3, 4, and 5 all had R2S). But now, it’s finally here. The cover is beefed up to TX-25 (2025 version updated from original TX-16, 2016 version) which is needed for today patterns. While TX-25 is stronger than TX-16, the pearl allows it to easily clear the front part of the lane, but then dig in down lane. The tried and true Velocity core has medium/low 2.48 RG with 0.051 diff in the 15# which has plenty of flare potential to fit multiple layouts. I drilled mine 5 x 5 x 2. It did exactly what I had hoped. The Phaze 2 Pearl does not feature AI (amplified inertia) in the core. I feel like AI in the core gives the ball a little more torque and makes it get off line and forward a little quicker. So the Phaze 2 Pearl has that nice rounded continuous ball motion. It fits at the low part of my middle of the bag. It’s a Pearl asym that pushes with ease through the front part of the lane, reads the mid lane and continues on the back end, through the pin deck. It is a must have in your bag.

Storm Phaze II Pearl Coverstock: TX-25 Pearl Reactive Finish: Power Edge Core: Velocity Core (14pd.) RG: 2.53 Differential: 0.050 Layout: 5 x 4 x 4 - 2LS Layout Extras: 2 1/8 Finger Depth, "X" - 4 1/2 D and 1 Inch Left Tester: PAP 6 1/2 R, 1 1/4 D Review: The Storm Phaze II Pearl features the iconic velocity core and the upgraded TX-25 coverstock. The Phaze II Pearl will be that perfect ball in the arsenal for your high to medium/medium type conditions where you want great continuous reaction through the pins. At the OOB finish the Power Edge finishing process appears to be a good addition. Most bowlers I have talked to are using the Phaze II Pearl OOB. For me, I hit mine with 4K on a spinner because I prefer to "crack" the showroom finish on my pearl gear. The Phaze II Pearl provides nice length and great motion off the spot. In comparing the Phaze II Pearl to the Phaze A.I. I was pleasantly surprised the Phaze II Pearl went through the front part of the lane but picked up slightly quicker than the Phaze A.I. This is due to the upgraded coverstock on the Phaze II Pearl. I feel the cover update will help carry out those pesky corner pins that the Phaze A.I. would tend to leave at times. Down lane the Phaze II Pearl shows a distinct strong shape however it is not as rounded as the Phaze A.I. I'm looking forward to how these balls vary from one another as transition occurs. I'm definitely excited to test the Phaze II Pearl over time and truly believe this flagship ball will be the best one to date. P2P!
The Phaze ll Pearl is SPI’s newest Master line release. The Phaze ll Pearl (P2P) features the same Velocity core found in the OG but is now wrapped in TX25 pearl. I have gotten a lot of comments from people wondering why another Phaze ll with a pearl cover needed to happen. The short answer is that this is the first true pearl Phaze ll. The P2P has the exact same base cover as the OG with a pearlized additive. The P2P reminds me a lot of the remake Marvel Pearl that came out around 8 years ago now and something the line has been desperately missing. The P2P for me has been the perfect second ball out of the bag in league when I need something cleaner without giving up too much control. Now available from any Storm VIP Pro Shop! After 10 years of the industry-standard Phaze II, Storm has released Phaze II Pearl. Yet the question remains: was it worth the wait? Well, after two weeks of rolling the Phaze II Pearl, the results left me believing Storm has created another winning success with the Phaze II Pearl. So, let's take a closer look at the Phaze II Pearl and see why it might fit into your arsenal! The Velocity Core has been a benchmark of success for the Phaze line. Inside the original Phaze II, you could always count on the Velocity core to be smooth, clean, and predictable shot after shot. I found the same to be true inside the Phaze II Pearl. Inside the Phaze II Pearl, I found the Velocity Core to be very stable, and I appreciated that even with a pearl coverstock, the Velocity Core reads the mid-lane smoothly while building momentum as it makes its way down the lane. The Velocity Core inside the Phaze II Pearl has plenty of stored striking power as it drives through the pins. Furthermore, I believe the Pearl coverstock provides slightly more continuation with the Velocity Core in the Phaze II Pearl than in the original Phaze II, but the difference is marginal. I like that Storm kept the Velocity Core untouched in the Phaze II Pearl, but as a straighter player, I can only wonder how the Velocity Core would have been with A.I. Technology wrapped around it! However, given that Storm wanted to make the Phaze II Pearl a sister to the original Phaze II, the Velocity Core remains the industry standard that no matter what, you can count on it to deliver! The TX-25 Pearl reactive coverstock is a strong pearl mixture that bites as the Phaze II Pearl rolls down the lane. I drilled my Phaze II Pearl aggressively, and I liked how the TX-25 enhanced that layout to fit my straighter, low-rev style. With the factory Power Edge finish on a THS, I could see a well-defined skid, hook, and roll motion from the Phaze II Pearl. However, because of my lower rev rate, the TX-25 tended to go a bit too long for my liking, so I tweaked the TX-25 Pearl with a light 4000-grit Abralon pad to take some of the shine, and that tweak made my Phaze II Pearl crisp off the pattern without being jumpy. It also gave me the extra edge to roll through the pins without deflecting and leaving me corner pins because of my lower rev rate. There is one caveat I would like to discuss regarding the Phaze II Pearl or the original Phaze II. I would not suggest altering the surface of the Phaze II Pearl too dramatically, as you still want that pearl reaction, just as I would not suggest polishing up an original Phaze II to make it go longer. The Phaze II and the Phaze II Pearl are created similarly but differ for a reason, so I suggest leaving the Phaze II Pearl to be a Phaze II Pearl and the Phaze II to be a Phaze II. I believe if you combine both of these two Storm benchmark balls, you will get a one-two punch that will undoubtedly bring you excellent, predictable results. In closing, I believe Storm did a great job with the Phaze II Pearl. Storm kept the Phaze II Pearl genuine to its brother, the Phaze II, but gave the Phaze II Pearl its own uniqueness that provides the consistent and predictable results any straighter player would like to have in their arsenal! I think the Phaze II pearl augments the original Phaze II quite well and will create a great one-two punch on any THS. So, stop into your local Storm VIP Pro Shop today and put the Phaze II Pearl in your arsenal next to the original Phaze II and let your scores do the talking! Ball Specs: Storm Phaze II Pearl TX-25 Pearl Reactive Cover Power Edge Polished Velocity Core (Symmetric) Layout 4 x 4.5 with 1-1/2 Pin Buffer Bowler Specs: Right Hand. PAP 5” Over 1/2 up Rev Rate 300. Tilt 20. Rotation 50. Speed at release 17 Review: Bowlers have been waiting on the Phaze II Pearl a long time and will not be disappointed. With the love and trust bowlers have held for the original Phaze II, Storm had to get this ball correct, and they did! The pin carry of this ball is excellent. The Phaze II Pearl hits as good as any A.I. Core produced balls so there is no problem there. The Phaze II Pearl strikes a lot for me. My first game out of the box was 258, so first impressions were excellent. I left the box finish on this ball and don’t see a need to alter it. This ball is stronger than my Typhoon but weaker than my Equinox Solid in total hook. I love how the Phaze II Pearl turns the corner and drives through the pins. While the Original Phaze II may be better for tournament conditions or when you need a smooth read, the Pearl can really open up the lane when you use the friction. I manly tried it out on our house shot and it rolled great and carried well while using different parts of the lane with very good success. This ball allows you to use it for a long time before making any big moves or adjustments. This ball has already been selling well at our shop, and the reviews have been very good. feedback is very positive. Anyone wanting a medium-strong ball with good length and a strong back end and hit will be pleased with this ball. I think this will be a versatile ball that will have many applications on the lane and fit many types of bowling styles. Summary: The Phaze II Pearl rolls great and hits hard. This is the Phaze Storm fans have been waiting for. The Phaze II Pearl should have good longevity in the catalog. Glenn Wendel Storm Pro Shop Staff gwendel@comcast.net www.stormbowling.com

Storm Phaze II Pearl
Storm Phaze II Pearl Since 2016 the Phaze II Pearl has been one of Storm's most popular balls so it's only fitting that we now have the Phaze II Pearl and it has been the most requested ball to be made. RG-2.48 Differential -.051 Symmetrical Core Finish-Poweredge The Phaze II Pearl features the velocity core which was used in the original Phaze II wrapped with the new TX 25 Pearl Coverstock. I drilled mine 5x4x2 using the VLS Layout System which gives me a quicker response to the friction so it allows me to open up my angles and create more backend motion. This one is very simple to describe where it fits in the Storm lineup it's built to compliment the goat Phaze II with cleaner motion through the fronts with a stronger motion on the backend. Phaze II will be your start on fresh oil then when you need more length and backend Phaze II Pearl is the choice.

Dual Angle: 55 x 4 1/2 x 25 Storm Vector: 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 1 3/4 Storm says The Phaze II Pearl is what bowlers worldwide have been asking for?? Well they were right, this ball is all you hoped it would be and more. The Phaze II Pearl features the TX-25 Pearl Reactive cover stock wrapped around the classic Phaze II Velocity Core. Upon drilling this ball I was expecting it to be very similar to the Rockstar Amped but this ball stands on its own. The Phaze II Pearl is a bit cleaner and stronger on the back end then the Amped. This ball fits perfectly in the middle of my bag as my strong symmetrical pearl. So far this ball has been great on drier house shots to start or a great option as the lanes start to transition and you need to move left. Out of Box ball motion was clean through the fronts, started later than the Phaze II Solid down lane, with a strong motion on the backend. I compared this to the Phaze II. Phaze II was 3 - 3 right of the Pearl. It started earlier in the fronts with a smoother motion on the back end. If you like the original Phaze II, the Pearl is a good 2nd ball to go to when the Phaze II is not able to get through the fronts later In the blocks. This piece will be good for all types of styles. Phaze II Pearl fits between the IQ Tour and Phaze II. Check Out the Ball motion Video on my Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/16dhzmgoq7/

Phaze 2 Pearl Review
FINALLY, the Phaze 2 Pearl has arrived! Everyone knows the Phaze 2 solid has solidified its remarkable success on the lanes over the years, and now, it has finally received the long-awaited arrival of its Pearl version. The Velocity Core returns, along with the all-new TX-25 Pearl Cover Stock that is designed to give bowlers the transition and versatility on those demanding medium/heavy oil conditions. With its Power Edge finish and a medium/high flare potential, the Phaze 2 Pearl gives a controllable backend, leading to striking results! The same colors from the solid return as well. Ball layout: pin up 70 x 5 3/8 x 40. Like most fresh conditions, pearls tend to be super clean through the front part of the lane. What I found more impressive is that the pearl version can be a bit more responsive in the friction and not overreact mid lane. Less angular, much smoother, something that tends to be rare when throwing pearl equipment. Moving across the boards with my feet once the transition opened up, the Phaze 2 pearl starts to give that proper ball motion just as you would see with the solid that all bowlers knew and love. The Phaze 2 Pearl is a well-deserved compliment and gives a great 1-2 punch to go with your Phaze 2 solid. If you were a fan favorite of the solid, then the Pearl should definitely be in your bag! Phaze II Pearl Review by Kyle, Joel, & Dean Johnson
Ball Specs: Storm Phaze II Pearl Coverstock: TX-25™ Power Edge Pearl Reactive Core: Velocity™ (Symmetrical) Color: Red/Blue/Purple Review: The worst kept secret of the last few weeks! This is a BIG release for many reasons… First, the Phaze II is probably the GOAT so coming out with a pearlized version has some very big shoes to fill and some questions that come along with it as well. First, no this is not the same as the original Phaze II with some polish on it. The shape is still cleaner, more angular, and not as much overall hook. This is also not a reboot of the Phaze AI. The Phaze AI ball didn’t really stick with many people. The shape seemed a bit unpredictable, and the ball never really fit in some people’s arsenal so we were happy to see them go without the AI core on this new piece and go back to its old roots like the Phaze II. We drilled this ball with our normal layout: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 4x4x2 (pin is above bridge). We will say out of all the variations of the original Phaze II this is the closest/most complimenting to it. The original and the new pearl Phaze II are the biggest 1-2 punches and the most bang for your buck as far as usable pieces on a variety of patterns. You can survive an entire league season with these 2 pieces. They really are that versatile. And when the pattern doesn’t allow you to throw the original Phaze II anymore, the Pearl version is the perfect go to. We don’t think this will hurt the sales or kill the original Phaze II. They are very different and can coexist. Stop by your local VIP shop and take a look! Phaze 2 Pearl Review
Layout: 4 1/2 x 4 x 2 Surface: Power Edge Rev Rate: 470 Tilt: 13* The official Phaze 2 pearl is here! This one is the real deal and the combination of the Velocity Core and the TX-25 Pearl coverstock completes this ball! The hype is real for this ball. This is the compliment to the Phaze 2 Solid that everyone has been waiting years for. I tried this ball on my typical 44ft house pattern and in a 6-game house shot tournament at a higher friction center. On the fresh, as you would expect for many pearl balls, it was too clean and responsive to blend the pattern out. This one was not really any different. It got me to the pocket pretty easily but the polished cover gave me too much length to carry the 10 pins most times. The phaze 2 solid was the much better choice for the fresh as you would have expected. I was pretty surprised at the strength of the phaze 2 pearl in the midlane and its response to friction. It is definitely much faster response than I originally thought it would be. What's great about it is its midlane read. It doesn't blow through the break point compared to the previous phaze pearl before. This phaze 2 pearl is a slightly cleaner and more responsive phaze 2 solid. As the lanes transitioned and I got into 20 with my feet, the phaze 2 pearl was super good. Read the oil in the middle part of the lane when missed and blended the drier parts of the lane when I missed out earlier. The backend reaction was strong but not very angular. The reaction is more continuous. This reaction is what makes this ball as a step down from the solid. As I moved into 30 and 35 with my feet, the ball did not roll out at all. I had no fear of it hook stopping especially in the higher volume of oil. In my 6-game tournament on a higher friction surface, I had a similar experience to my league pattern but this time, I was able to get the ball to read the middle part of the lane sooner because of the lane surface. The ball was great from game 1 to game 6 as I just had to keep moving my feet left. I started sliding around 25 and playing 15 to 8. As the fronts went away, I moved in with my feet and my break point moved to around 10-12. Again, no issues with the ball reading the oil and continuing through the pins. It was very impressive how it rolled from that deep on the lanes. I recommend this ball for anyone who loves the Phaze 2 Solid and wants a really good pearl compliment in the Storm lineup. No need to fear that this is just another "phaze" pearl that isn't close to the solid. For bowlers whose lane conditions are a little drier, you could use this ball on the fresh as it should read the lane early enough. For most people, this ball will be a good transition ball after a solid cover ball but removing the pro edge polish will get the ball to read the lane much harder for more overall use.
