Absolute Power
Absolute Power- Ball Specs Cover Stock: R2S Deep Solid Reactive Finish: 4000 Grit Core: Sentinel Core RG: 2.48 Differential: 0.050 Intermediate Diff: .021 Review The Absolute Power is the latest addition to Storm’s Premier line and believe me this ball should absolutely be your bag. The Absolute Power’s Sentinel Core is wrapped with the RS2 Deep solid cover. This will ensure the Absolute Power will change direction and continue through the pins with more power and consistently. The Absolute Power has a stronger mid lane read and more continuous motion through the pins than the original Absolute. This ball will be great on medium to heavy oil patterns. Absolute Power Review
Storm Absolute Power: R2S Solid Cover Sentinel Core (Asymmetrical) 4000 Grit Sanded finish Layout 4 x 4 2” Pin Buffer Bowler Specs: Right Hand. PAP 5” Over 1/2 up Rev Rate 300. Tilt 20. Speed at release 17 Review: I never really figured out the Original Absolute so I did not know what to expect from the Absolute Power. I can say for me this version is a lot better. The textured surface gives it a good mid lane read but saves torque for the back end. This ball almost acts like a polished or weaker asymmetric the way it goes down the lane and finishes. The Absolute Power is not as angular as some polished balls that have been produced lately but nay be more predictable at the 4000 finish. I would put this ball squarely between my Magic Gem and TNT in total hook. I have already had some nice sets with the Absolute Power and after a slow start at the shop this ball is gaining traction in sales. We are planning a Matchmaker Ball Demo soon and I hope this ball will be included in the set. I feel that bowlers who see dull Asymmetric balls as too early will be happy with the Absolute Power. Summary: The Absolute Power gives a unique motion for a sanded asymmetric. This ball is an upgrade on the original. The predictable back end motion is a plus. Absolutley Better
For those who have or had the original Absolute, this ball will amaze you. I was in shock. Compared to the original ball, this one moves. The original one, to me, on most of the bowling alleys I was at, it never really had much back end. It was a hybrid . This new Absolute Power...It has back end for a solid ball. The R2S Deep Solid Coverstock. Wow is all I have to say, It's a ball I love to have in my bag. It reads the mid lane, and for a solid ball, you will be amazed. I was happy to purchase this ball, and happy to throw it. I was happy with the 4000 surface out of the box. I never had to adjust anything on it. It look great, Reacts great, and Absolutely love the colors and smell it has! It's a ball to get!

Power is Absolute!
Sam Cooper Roto Grip Amateur Staff. The Storm Absolute Power I was excited for when it was announced. I immediately thought to myself that this might be the new Rubicon! So far, this ball has not disappointed. I drilled this pin down layout numbers are 45x5x75(might need a pin up one in the future by how good the current one is!). The Absolute Power features the R2S Deep Solid Cover wrapped around the Sentinel core. I liked the original Absolute for league or lighter volume sport shots. The Power should be even more versatile. Me being higher speed higher rev rate. The out of box surface was tricky for me at 4000 abralon. Liked the motion that the ball made but it would not always recover or go through the pins correctly. I hit it with a 2000 pad to have some teeth and the ball came alive. R2S Deep solid is still cleaner and more responsive than other solid covers in the SPI family. You can tell when throwing either Absolute that the ball does not pay much attention to the front part of the lane. That being said, the ball retains a good amount of energy for the pins. It creates a strong arcing motion that will be usable for a variety of conditions. Personally, I think that this is a ball that has been missing from the line since the Rubicon. With the older surfaces in my hometown of Pittsburgh we need more options with cleaner/weaker covers.

Great follow up
Like many, I loved the original Absolute. The unique core/cover combo made it effortless to get down the lane with a smooth and continuous shape down lane. The Absolute Power doesn’t disappoint, staying cleaner through the front than most solids and with a little more pop down lane than bigger covered balls like the gem or eternity pi. I drilled mine with a 4x4x2 layout and it fills a hole in my bag that nothing else really fits.

Absolute Power
Hey everyone, I'm back with another ball review, and this time it's for the Storm Absolute Power. In 14 pounds this ball is wrapped in the R2S Deep Solid Coverstock and has the Sentinel Core with an RG of 2.54, Diff of .045 and PSA of .018.. The layout for this ball is 5x4x2.5 The perfect name for the perfect ball. It is not the strongest ball in any of the three SPI lines but I feel its the perfect amount of ball for game 1 and 2 on a true house shot. I used this ball the other night and from the first shot down the lane I knew this was a staple in the bag for some time. I was able to move where I am more comfortable and started sliding at 25 and by the end of game 2 I was sliding at 30ish and knew I needed a cleaner ball. My Summit Peak wasn't ready yet so I jumped into a Clone and moved my feet a few right to close my angle a bit and just had to give that ball just a touch of hand and was back to striking. If you have been watching the PBA the past two weeks you saw this ball at some point being thrown by all of SPI staff members. When a ball is this good all the pros are drawn to throw it as well. Absolute Power
Storm Absolute Power: Ball specs: Sentinel Core with R2S Deep SOLID reactive coverstock Finished: 4000 grit Abralon Layout: 5 x 4 x 2 Bowler specs: 15.5 mph and rev rate in the 380’s and my is PAP is 3 ¼ and at zero up/down Fun Fact of the day: The Sentinel Core is the first single density asymmetrical core that the Storm line has used since the Storm Lucid a few years ago. With me not using a TON of asymmetrical balls in league, I figured to practice on fresh and used house conditions over the course of a few different days to really see if this new Absolute Power would perform. I was very impressed to see how much torque this ball delivered during the shots. The textured R2S Deep solid cover adds a little length midlane and backend of the ball motion over the OG R2S solid coverstock. The OG Absolute was a little “too clean” for me at factory finish, but did gain some love from me at 2000 grit finish. I did not shy away from trying to “hook” the lane or doing deep inside the heavier part of the lane pattern, where normal solids would give up on me, the Absolute Power energized me! Absolute Power
Ben Lapointe PAP: 4 7/8 over and 1 ¼ up Layout: 5.25 x 4.25 x 3 The new Storm Absolute Power is Storm’s newest Premiere line release and man does this thing hook. Right off the bat you notice how clean this is for an asymmetric solid piece but that doesn’t stop it from reading the mid lane effortlessly and providing tons of continuation as it goes through the pins. To compare it to a couple pieces in the current line. You will find this a little cleaner and stronger off the spot than the Roto Grip Clone, and find it just a touch earlier and stronger overall than the Phaze II. I actually consider this new Absolute Power to be a beefed up Phaze II, and would great as a ball down from Clone and a ball up from Phaze II. The Absolute Power is out not!! Don’t forget to bowl up a Storm!!

Storm Absolute Power review by Lonnie Pemberton
BALL: Core: Sentinel Cover: R2S Deep Solid Finish: 4000 -grit RG: 2.48 (15lbs) Differential: 0.050 (15 lbs) PSA: .021 ME: Right-Handed Tweener Speed: 12-13 mph Rev Rate: 315 Axis Tilt: 14° Axis Rotation: 74° PAP: 5 1/8 R 7/8 Up Ball Layout: Pin under ring 4 X 5 3/4 X 3 3/4 VLS New addition to the Premier Line is a solid version of the Absolute called the Absolute Power. Again featuring the Sentinal core but wrapped this time in a solid version of the R2S Deep cover that made it's way to the states for the first time on the absolute. The added texture of a solid cover does indeed add the POWER to this absolute. I was very excited for this release as the R2S deep cover was very good to me. With my lower ball speed, and the early friction in my home center, the updated covers are often too strong and force me to get creative to get them through the front of the lane. I've been waiting for a solid benchmark motion ball that is a little cleaner and this is the one I've been waiting for. I tested the Absolute Power in league and immediately was a little surprised with how much energy it retained down-lane. This cover seems to be just right for me on our lane surface as it clears the fronts but doesn't miss the mids and it really motors off the back of the pattern. As a result it is a touch stronger than I anticipated but because of it's exceptional continuity I can stay in it much longer than most balls in it's hook category. With the drastic transition of in our center I'm usually overjoyed if I can stay in a ball past a single game. Despite being a bit further left than anticipated to start the night I had no issues getting through the first two games. While I certainly wouldn't call the Absolute power quick or snappy off the spot it has no issues covering boards and stayed useful until I ran out of left to move on the right lane. Motion wise it gives me Phaze II vibes just more of everything that makes the Phaze II great. I feel that the Absolute power is a ball which will fit alot of games. It's certainly strong enough for people who are rev challenged and If I can get it down-lane most anyone should be able to, so lower ball speed bowlers should really like this ball as well. Absolute Power
Introducing the newest solid asym from the Storm lineup! The Absolute Power combines the smooth and strong Sentinel core with the mild and clean R2S Deep Solid coverstock. This combo yields a very useable solid asym that is surprisingly clean and quick without being overresponsive. This ball fills a gap between traditional solid asyms like the DNA and cleaner, sharper asyms like the Virtual Energy Blackout. The Absolute Power for me rolls like a giant IQ Tour Solid: revs up quick but doesn't get off line too early, continues downlane without getting forward, and provides a unique shape that fits in the "control ball" category. You don't want to miss this one, it really is a unique piece that fills a gap!

Review
Storm never gets the Asymmetrical solids wrong. The latest big ball from Storm features A.I. technology with the R2S Solid Deep cover at 4000 grit. The 4000 grit allows the ball to pass the fronts without reading too soon yet we see plenty of mid lane read with continuation. You can think of the Absolute Power as a cleaner version of the DNA. This ball is designed for medium to heavier oil conditions; with more focus on the latter. If you enjoyed the original Absolute, the Power will compliment your bag as it will be an option for those heavier oil conditions to utilize on the fresh to then transition to the original Absolute when a cleaner motion is needed.

Another Great Symmetrical Ball
Dual Angle Layout: 45 x 4 ½ x 70 Storm Vector Layout: 4 ½ x 3 7/8 x 4 1/8 Absolute Power gives me a strong midlane roll with continuation through the pins. I opted to go with a pin down layout to provide a smooth continuous motion that I can use on a typical house shot. This ball is on the weaker side compared to other asymmetrical solids, so it was a perfect match for my higher rev rate on a house shot. For me this ball fits perfectly between the Eternity Pi and the Virtual Energy Blackout if you’re looking for a ball to fill that gap.

Cover: R2S DEEP Solid Reactive Core: Sentinel RG: 2.48 RG. Diff.: 0.050 Finish: 4000-Grit Abralon Fragrance: Blueberry Orange Cake Storm’s new Absolute Power is a Solid Asymmetric Piece. This piece is good for Heavy Oil Patterns. PAP is 4 ½ over and 1 1/8 up. Rev Rate: ~400. Speed: 17.0 . Drilled this ball with the Pin Down, 5x4x5 using storm VLS. I wanted this ball to be a different look than a pin up reality meaning that I was looking for a smoother transition down lane. What I found was this ball was able to handle all of the oil in the middle of the lane and really start motoring. Even with the smoother layout, the ball still had plenty of energy at the pins. I would see this ball being really good for all styles and for me I would look at it being a first or second ball out of the bag, depending on what we are bowling on. Absolute Power!
The Storm Absolute Power is the newest premier line release. The Absolute Power features the same sentinel core in the original Absolute but is now wrapped in R2S solid. The Absolute Power reminds me a lot of the CodeX and Alpha Crux which provided a lot of control with not a ton of traction. I can see myself throwing the Absolute Power after my Reality/GEM start to straighten out too quickly but balls like the Summit Peak/Phaze ll are still too quick. Storm Absolute Power review by Ethan Fiore
The Absolute Power is our new strong asymmetric piece. Once you throw it, the reaction doesn’t look like an asymmetrical ball. It is very clean, very continuous. Fits just above a DNA in my opinion. It’s one of those pieces that is surface friendly. Works with all types of surface adjustments. Go get yours today! Out of Box ball motion started in the mids with continuous backend motion. If the Phaze II was a Asym piece, this would be it. I compared this to the Storm Super Nova (1-1 Right) and IQ Tour (2-2 Right). This will be a good 1st ball out of the bag to start a block. Absolute Power Review
Layout: 5 x 3.5 x 2.5 and 5 x 4.5 x 4.5 Surface: 4000 Abralon The New Absolute Power brings back the Sentinel Core with the new R2S deep Solid Coverstock. When this ball was announced, I was pretty excited for it because the lane surfaces in the North East tend to be older and hook earlier. This makes using the stronger solid coverstocks tough to use in general. The R2S deep solid coverstock is much cleaner through the front than the DNA while still being strong in the midlane. This is a perfect combination for me because it gets through the front part of the lane and continues better through the pins well as a result. I have drilled a pin up and pin down version of this ball. The pin up version is still clean through the front but reads the midlane significantly stronger than the pin down version. This make the ball about 2-3 boards overall stronger. The pin up version will be better on fresh or where there is more volume on the lane on older lane surfaces. The pin down version is naturally smoother and slightly cleaner in the front part of the lane. The smoothness actually allows for more versatility and can be used on both the fresh and the transition depending on the lane conditions. On my typical 44ft House Pattern, I prefer the pin down one as it continues better than the pin up version. If you have a little lower rev rate or ball speed but need a stronger ball that doesn't burn up as fast as a DNA, a pin up Absolute Power definitely makes sense. Drilling this pin down makes more sense on lighter oil conditions or higher rev rates when more control is needed. Adam Chase Storm Staff

Absolute Power
The Absolute Power is a ball that I think will be a very unique piece in the Storm line. The Absolute Power features the same Sentinel Core that was in the original Absolute, except this time it is wrapped with Storm’s R2S Deep coverstock which is a weaker solid coverstock. For a player like myself (rev dominant player), this combination is a gamechanger. This ball has allowed me to throw a stronger asymmetric ball closer to the friction than I typically have been able to in the past. Typically if I am too close to the friction with bigger asyms they lock up and go forward, however, the Absolute Power doesn't lock up; it blends through the friction and goes through the pins extremely well! I am very excited about this piece and I am looking forward to using this ball more in the future. Go to your local VIP pro shop and pick up one for yourself today! Absolute Power
Storm Absolute Power Coverstock: R2S DEEP Solid Reactive Finish: 4000 Grit Abralon Core: Sentinel (14 pd) RG: 2.54 Differential: 0.045 Int Diff: 0.018 Layout: 2 x 6 x 5 - 2LS Layout Extras: 2 3/4 Finger Depth, "X" - 4 1/2 D and 1 Inch Left Tester: PAP 6 1/2 R, 1 1/4 D Review: The Absolute Power features the R2S DEEP coverstock which stands for Delayed Energy for Enhanced Performance. In layman's terms this simply means the R2S coverstock will pick up later on the lane compared to previous versions of R2S. This should create more of an angular reaction downlane. Taking into consideration the above the shop decided to go with a short pin to PAP layout on the Absolute Power. For more information you can reference Storm's 2LS Poster Layouts #2 for more details. Basically this layout is good for rev dominant players and can be most effective on shorter patterns or patterns where a lot of friction is showing at the end of the pattern. What has impressed me the most with this ball is that for having a solid finish the ball did not dig into our 41'THS immediately. Also, I did not do any cover adjustment at this time. So far this ball will shine on your lighter volume fresh patterns and medium patterns. I also feel this ball is very versatile in being able to stay in it as the lanes transition. For me, the Absolute Power did not "lock up" as some asyms in my hand tend to do. In comparison to my DNA which I have the same layout the Absolute Power ball surface is a tad smoother and will allow me to stay in the ball a tad longer for having slower ball speed. Both the Absolute Power and/or the DNA can fill the same slot in your arsenal. Be sure to grab a Storm Absolute Power today. Michael Slatky 900 Global Staff Member York, PA

Storm Absolute Power
The Absolute Power is the second ball in the Absolute family. The Absolute I was a ball that I didn’t use a lot because it was so clean for an asymmetrically due too R2S Deep Hybrid but when I did use it, it was really good especially at USBC Nationals on the D/S pattern. The Power is wrapped in the R2S Deep Solid cover and I drilled mine 5.5 x 5 x 5. When I first threw this ball I couldn’t believe the shape this ball gave me, it reminded me of a Phaze 2 just stronger. It gave me a little length compared to other solid asymmetrical balls like the DNA and Eternity Pi but it still made a strong motion in the oil. This is a ball I’m going to use on multiple different pattern lengths and volumes, this one is going to be super popular!

Storm Absolute Power
The new Storm Absolute Power is crazy good. I just drilled mine last week and have used it in two different scenarios successfully. I chose to drill mine 70 x 5 1/4 x 30. This places the mass bias in the thumb and has created a piece that is an absolute lock in my bag. Here are the two different scenarios… the first I played on a fresh 43 foot, 27, mill 4 to 1 ratio tournament shot, it gave me the berries when others were struggling terribly. The second scenario in which I found it useful was late on a transitioned house shot where the lanes became severely clift. The back end on the par in question had tons of carry down and I needed help to get the ball to finish correctly through the deck. in both instances, I had my competitors eyes bugging out of their heads at the reaction I was able to create while they continued struggle. I can’t say enough good things at this point about this ball. It is an upgrade from what was already a good piece in the original Absolute. You should strongly consider adding this to your own arsenal if you bowl competitively or find yourself in either of the two scenarios that I described earlier.

Storm Absolute Power Ball Review Layout: VLS-5x4x2 Dual Angle 50x5x30 Surface-3000 grit The Storm Absolute Power is a great addition to the storm lineup. The absolute power fits between the DNA and the storm virtual energy blackout. The absolute power will be cleaner through the fronts than the DNA will more continuation on the backend. It allows me to create more angle but it still recovers downlane. If your virtual energy blackout is going to long or is too angular absolute power will be a great option. Overall i feel the absolute power will be a great transistion ball when your strong heavy oil balls are too strong but the lanes aren't ready for your shiny balls.
