The NanoStar Pearl Cover is designed to grip the lane like a guitar solo grips your soul, delivering an amped-up backend reaction that will leave the pins trembling.
But the hits don't stop there. Beneath the shredding cover lies the heart and soul of it all, the Rocker + A.I. Core Technology. This isn't just a core; it's the lead singer and the rhythm section all rolled into one! The Rocker Core provides the raw, untamed power, generating a high-revving, aggressive motion that pushes through the pins like a power chord through a stack of amplifiers.
This pearlized bowling ball is designed to shred those Medium to Medium/Heavy oil conditions with incredible performance and unstoppable pin action. No matter your style or age, the ROCKSTAR AMPED is designed for every bowler looking to amplify their game. Get yours today and experience the difference!
ROCKER™ + A.I. CORE TECHNOLOGY
Born to rock the pins, the Rocker weight block is taking center stage yet again in the strong symmetrical category. This marks the second time we've used this innovative shape energized by A.I. Core Technology to help disperse energy through the pins for better pin carry.
Whether your style is more vintage and you play up the boards, or you're more alternative and rip it from coast to coast, the symmetrical Rocker shape allows for a variety of drilling styles to create the perfect harmony of motion between your genre of play and the lane.
NANOSTAR™ PEARL COVERSTOCK
For years, our groundbreaking nano-particle cover technology has set the standard, continually refined by our expert chemists. While many innovations have come and gone, the resilience and performance of materials like MicroTrax have remained unmatched. To create something that not only complemented our proven technology but also offered enhanced versatility, our chemists went back to the lab.
It was during this intense process that a particular material combination emerged, standing out as truly revolutionary. This is how NanoStar Pearl was born. This material features nanoparticles throughout, but at a lower percentage than our MicroTrax material. This allows the NanoStar Pearl coverstock to be cleaner through the front of the lane while providing more reaction to friction down lane, delivering an amplified backend reaction that will leave your pins shaking. We've taken the best of our past and engineered the future of coverstock performance. Get ready for a game-changing experience!

Roto Grip RockStar Amped
The new Roto Grip RockStar Amp is a fantastic addition to the lineup, delivering a strong yet smooth motion that’s both reliable and versatile. With the NanoStar Pearl cover and Rocker AI core, this ball bridges the gap between angular pearl reactions and smoother, more controllable shapes. For me, the 4.5 x 4 x 4.25 layout produced a strong midlane read with a continuous and predictable backend motion — not overly jumpy, but still plenty of pop through the pins. The RockStar Amp gives me that “strong smooth continuation” reaction that blends wet/dry conditions extremely well. It really shines when I need something to pick up a touch earlier than a pure skid-flip pearl but still store enough energy to drive through the pocket. I’ve found it to be the perfect complement to the Roto Grip Gremlin. Where the Gremlin tends to be a bit more angular and sharper off the friction, the RockStar Amp offers a rounder, more stable shape that keeps me in control without losing hitting power. On medium to slightly heavier patterns, it allows me to stay in my comfort zone longer without worrying about overreaction downlane. Higher rev players will really enjoy the blend this ball provides — it’s responsive, but not uncontrollably quick off the spot. It’s the kind of motion that lets you stay confident when the lanes transition and you need something that reads consistently without burning up. Overall, the RockStar Amp is a dependable, smooth-rolling pearl that fills an important slot in the Roto Grip lineup. It’s a ball that rewards good shot-making and provides the continuation and control that competitive players look for when the lanes start to get tricky.

Roto Grip Rockstar Amped Review
The Roto Grip Rockstar Amped features the NanoStar Pearl Reactive coverstock wrapped around the Rocker + A.I. Core Technology, finished with the Power Edge polish to deliver a motion that is exceptionally clean through the fronts with plenty of shape downlane. Designed for strong mid-performance versatility, the Rockstar Amped clears the heads with ease before unleashing a sharp, defined backend motion that creates excellent entry angle and continuation through the pins. This makes it an ideal transition ball, providing the perfect step down when the original Rockstar begins to read too early or become too strong. Compared to the original, the Amped offers more length and responsiveness to friction, letting bowlers open up the lane and stay aggressive deeper inside without sacrificing control. In short, the Rockstar Amped blends easy length, crisp backend motion, and dependable continuation, making it a go-to option when the fronts start to go and you need a clean, lively reaction downlane. Let's ROCK Again!
Roto Grip Rockstar Amped - HP3 Coverstock: NanoStar Pearl - Power Edge Core: Rocker A.I. RG: 2.48 Differential: .050 (15 lbs) Layout: 5.5 x 5 x 2.75 PAP: 6" Right, 1 3/8" Up Axis Tilt: 16° Rotation: 51° Rev Rate: 450-500 Speed: 17-18 mph Location: Vista Lanes - Yorkville, NY Pattern: Kegel Carbon (Current Conditioner) Lane Surface: Anvilane Let’s get ready to ROCK again! The Rockstar Amped utilizes the new NanoStar pearl cover and proven Rocker symmetric core with A.I. technology. The Rockstar Amped was designed to compliment the original Rockstar and shine when you need to clear the fronts a little more, but still see the ball pick up in the midlane while responding to the friction. The Amped will be a great choice on medium to medium/heavy conditions when stronger balls start up too soon and weaker balls don’t pick up in the right spot and go too long. In game two of league the Rockstar Amped gave me a great look sliding on 30, looking 18 at the arrows with my breakpoint around 9-10. As I moved further left, it still picked up in the right part of the lane and had no problem going through the pins. When compared to Rockstar, it performed as advertised and was cleaner with more response to the friction. Even though it’s a pearl, it doesn’t have an extreme skid/flip reaction for me. The Amped could be the first ball out of my bag for league and will definitely come out in games 2 or 3. On heavier tournament patterns, the Amped will be great after the RST Hyperdrive or Rockstar. I’ve had great success with HP3 balls from Roto Grip in the past and can’t wait to put the Rockstar Amped to the test in league and tournaments. The Rockstar Amped will fit below the Rockstar and above the Ultimate Wrecker in the Roto Grip line. Stop by your local Storm VIP pro shop to check it out! Available on October 24th. Let's get AMPED
TESTING ENVIRONMENT Type: Lakes Bowl House Shot BALL: Rockstar Amped Coverstock: Nano Star Pearl Core: : Rocker + A.I. Finish: Power Edge RG: 2.50 (14 Pounds) Differential: 0.046 (14 Pounds) MB/PSA: NA (14 Pounds) ME: Right-Handed Tweener Speed: 14-15 mph Rev Rate: 220 PAP: 5 7/16 Right 1/8 Down Ball Layout: 60x4¾x30 So Storm says “This isn't just a ball; it's a mosh pit of power, precision, and pure rock and roll rebellion!” Now that I have thrown this ball for a bit and in a number of places I can say if Chris Schlemer was a ball ... .this would be it! A pearl ball from SPI with NANO…..Let’s go! SO in case you are new to my reviews I like to play near the track with my angles in front of me and why not right ... .It's a stronger pearl. Well even so with the nano load in the ball it wants to dig into the lane and that has me moving left already. On a THS I have stood around 20-25 and looking to get the ball at 13-15 at the arrows and allow the pattern and weightblock to do its thing. Thanks for reading, watching, and if you like this or any of the jerseys in my videos just head over to www.IAmBowling.com and use HIRSCH at checkout for 20% off your order. Roto Grip Rockstar Amped – WWRD 10/24/2025
Cover: NanoStar Pearl Reactive Core: Rocker + A.I. RG: 2.48 RG. Diff.: 0.050 Finish: Power Edge Roto Grip’s new Rockstar Amped is a Pearl Symmetrical piece that is good for Medium Volume patterns. PAP is 5 5/16 R 1 3/16 Up. Rev Rate: 400. Speed: 16.5. I drilled this piece with the Pin up between the fingers and CG kicked out 1.5” from the palm. 5 x 4 x 2 ½. I threw this piece on a Fresh 43’ House pattern. Out of Box ball motion started in the mids with a strong backend reaction through the pins. I compared this to the Gremlin and RST Hyperdrive Pearl. Gremlin was 4-4 right and has a smoother shape. RST Hyperdrive Pearl was 1-1 Left and is cleaner through the fronts with a sharper backend. This piece is a good complement to the Rockstar and will be good for all types of styles. Check Out the Ball motion Video on my YouTube Page: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1BhpyP4ees/
