About Me 900 Global Staff Left Handed: High Rev High Speed Player Layout: 5 X 5 X 2 Pap: - 47/8 +1 Rev Rate: +-500 Speed 17-18mph Ball Video: https://youtu.be/ISlUUKgB7ME I have been talking about trying out the Hustle's and I finally had my son Chaise talk me into getting the Hustle RIP. I absolutely loved the RIP so when Roto Grip came out with the B/R/Y and the Xray, I had to order them, along with the M&M. For me the B/R/Y is a step down from the RRP with a little more length and more angular than the Rip. The B/R/Y brings me back to the old days where I could stand more toward the gutter, play straight with a little belly on the ball and crush it all day because the entry angle is ridiculously good. I have talked for so long that I wanted equipment where I wouldn't have to play a ton of lane and start more toward the gutter. I finally found that ball and I am looking forward to throwing the B/R/Y a ton more. For Roto Grips "lower end" of their lineup, this is still a great hard-hitting ball. Chaise would like to add that he has been trying to compare the B/R/Y to and he cannot figure it out. He feels that this is a one of kind. The B/R/Y to him is a bigger version of the After Dark Hybrid. Since his After Dark Hybrid cracked out, he hasn't had a long angular hybrid to fill that spot for a while and he has found it with the B/R/Y. Chaise love, love, loves his B/R/Y. Many people hesitate to look at most companies’ lower-level line up but if anyone makes a great ball for beginners or for drier lanes, it's Roto Grip. I am being 100% honest, you should give Hustle B/R/Y or any of the other hustles a try. I think you would be pleasantly surprised. The Hustle B-R-Y....
Hustle B-R-Y • Roto Grip • HP1 Series Core • Hustle Core (Symmetric) Coverstock • VTC (Versatile Traction Control) Hybrid Reactive • Finish Reacta Gloss Weight • 15 lbs. RG • 2.53 Differential • .030 Layout • 4 1/2 x 4 7/8 x 1 3/4 Tester PAP • 5” R, 5/8” D Tester Axis Tilt • 11° Testers Rev Rate • 300 Test Pattern • 42’ THS (Typical House Shot) • Modified, Kegel Stone Street Roto Grip continues its successful Hustle line with the new Hustle B-R-Y and X-Ray. And In each of their reviews, I would like to take a closer look at how the coverstocks developed by Roto Grip keep the Hustle line an industry standard in level-one bowling balls. So, let’s take a look at the Hustle B-R-Y Hybrid! The Hustle Core has become an industry standard since its Introduction in 2017. And The Hustle Core has proven to be a predictable and reliable workhorse for nearly any type of bowler! And I found those same consistent results with the B-R-Y. The Hustle core has a smooth and well-rounded motion that allows you, as the bowler, to control it! As a down-and-in player, I like that the Hustle Core responds to what I want it to do and allows me, the bowler, to control my shot! And for a medium RG and differential, the Hustle Core has plenty of destructive power through the pin deck. So, don’t let “level 1” push you away; the Hustle Core for any style or level of bowler will deliver responsive results time and time again! Let’s talk about what makes the Hustle B-R-Y an excellent choice– the coverstock! The new VTC (Vertical Traction Control) Hybrid coverstock on the B-R-Y is a finely tuned mixture of solid and pearl. The Vertical Traction Control in this hybrid mixture gives the Hustle B-R-Y a crisp and clean biting traction down the lane without being too harsh in the heads or too squirrely off the pattern. So, if you are looking for a smooth and well-defined motion, the VTC Hybrid is an excellent choice. Those who read my reviews know that Surface is my best friend, especially in weekly league night bowling! And with the Roto Grip line of VTC coverstocks I love the versatility it allows me as a bowler! And the VTC Hybrid found on the B-R-Y is a great example. For my higher speed and low rev style, the Reacta Gloss finish was okay but didn’t give me the clean and crisp motion I like. So I sanded my B-R-Y to 2000-grit Abralon, and my B-R-Y came alive and performed equally well on fresh oil or burned-up summer conditions and provided the predictable skid, hook and roll I could depend on! So, I would tell any bowler not to be afraid to find your sweet spot surface because, with the right surface on VTC Hybrid coverstock, you are in for a great night of bowling! So, if you are a new bowler starting your first fall season, the Hustle B-R-Y is a great all-around choice for your first ball, and it will provide you with a great season full of fun and excitement. And if you are a seasoned bowler bowling multiple nights- the B-R-Y will become your late-night saving grace! So, stop into your local Storm VIP Pro Shop today and have your Hustle B-R-Y ready for the fall season. The Hustle B-R-Y is a winner! Roto Grip Hustle BRY
The new Hustle in the Roto Grip entry level is the Hustle BRY. I am a big fan of the Hustle Line over the years. Pretty good bang for your buck! Good looking colors and shelf appeal. I always like to drill the entry level balls with stronger pins to help with the over under from the lowed diff balls. So I went with a 4 x 4x 2 layout. The Hustle Bry has very good downlane reaction even with the lower differential. I like using the Hustle BRY when I'm bowling on the short sport patterns or the drier shot House patterns. I like the pearl cover as It gets through the burnt heads and doesn't really create a flippy motion, more of an arcing motion. Which allows me to play more in the friction, do the weaker RG Hustle's. Ive pesonally liked the entry level, ball its seems most centers don't apply much oil these days. the Hustle Bry is about the same strength as the Tropical surges with a little different motion. Just a very good choice for when the lanes get toast!! Brian Watson Emerson Lanes Prod Anvi synthetics PAP 3 7/8 up 1 1/4 MPH 16 TILT - 16-17 RPM - 400

Ben Lapointe PAP: 4 7/8 over and 1 1/4 up Layout: 45 x 4 1/2 x 25 The Hustle series has truly re-defined the term "entry level", and that is no exception with the Hustle BRY. This ball reads the mid lane very well and maintains a great move off the end of the pattern for a ball at this price point. For me, I use this piece on burnt up house shots and on longer sport shots near the end of the block. I used a taller pin lay out on this to maximize the amount of hook i could get out of it and I am pleasantly surprised with how this stacks up with the stronger pieces in my bag.

Hustle B/R/Y
I drilled the new roto grip Huslte B/R/Y 4x4x2 using vls. Roto Grip has one of the most consistent, affordable and underrated lines in the bowling world! The VTC hrbrid coverstock gives this ball a unique shape in the hustle line, while still having characteristics of a hustles we all love. The Hustle core has proven to be great over and over again and this one is no different! No matter if you’re a beginner, or a pro, this ball will do what you need it to do. Compared to the Hustle RIP, this B/R/Y is a touch longer and more smooth than the RIP. This ball is a ball 5 in my bag, and still provides me with much needed angles when the patterns get tough late in the day!

Hustle BRY
Ball Specs: Hustle BRY Color: Burgundy/Red/Yale Blue Coverstock: Versatile Traction Control (VTC) Hybrid Reaction Core: Hustle Factory Finish: Reacta Gloss Review: The Hustle BRY features the VTC (Versatile Traction Control) Hybrid Reactive coverstock, which combines the best aspects of both solid and pearl coverstocks. This gives the ball a balanced reaction, offering enough traction in the mid-lane to read the conditions well, while still retaining energy for a strong yet controllable backend finish. The reacta gloss polish finish allows the ball to easily clear the heads, making it an excellent choice for playing straighter lines or when the lanes are starting to break down. One of the key strengths of the Hustle BRY is its versatility. It performs well on a variety of lane conditions, making it a great go-to ball for league play or tournaments where you may encounter changing conditions. The hybrid coverstock gives it enough bite to handle medium oil, while the core keeps the reaction smooth and predictable on lighter conditions. Whether you’re a beginner looking for your first performance ball or an experienced player in need of a versatile option for transitioning lanes, the Hustle BRY provides a great balance of performance, control, and value. Its striking appearance and dependable reaction make it a valuable addition to any bowler’s arsenal, offering a level of confidence and consistency that you can rely on in any situation. I’ve found its smooth, predictable motion and strong backend reaction to be incredibly effective, allowing me to fine-tune my approach and hit the pocket with confidence. Its durable build ensures consistent performance, and the striking design adds a touch of flair to my game. Overall, the Hustle BRY offers an excellent balance of control and power, making it an invaluable asset for enhancing my bowling experience.

Hustle B-R-Y ball review
I drilled my HUSTLE BRY pin up fairly strong with a 4.5 x 3.5 x 2 VLS layout. I have touched the surface up a couple of times with a 1500 and 2000 pad. This is a good ball to get thru the fronts when your bigger & medium balls start to read too quickly. I compared it with a couple of my other better medium pieces in the SUMMIT PEAK and THE ROAD. The HUSTLE BRY is a much slower read than THE ROAD. When my THE ROAD and SUMMITT PEAK are too much ball, the BRY is slower/smoother off the spot for me. The HUSTLE BRY was much better on hooking patterns for me and also defined friction to the right of my target. I could play closer to the oil line with the BRY and not have it jump like the other two did. As usual, Roto Grip nailed the starter piece ball. The HUSTLE BRY is much more than a starter ball and can help the better player out with a smooth controllable option on hooking lanes.

BRY review
The latest addition the Hustle BRY is wrapped in the VTC hybrid. The BRY is cleaner down lane compared to X-ray. I used the layout of 45 x 4 x45. The main center I bowl in is a high friction surface so this is a great selection out of my bag. The BRY is a great choice for all skill levels.

House Shot Killer
What more can be said about the Hustle line that hasn't already been said? It is without a doubt the best "bang for your buck" in bowling. The VTC cover with the Hustle core has the 34th sanctioned 900 series under it's belt, along with countless other honor scores and accolades. The VTC Pearl cover on the Hustle BRY provides length and control on the driest of lanes. I drilled mine very strong with a 3.5x2x0 layout and it's a great complement to the Hustle X-Ray. It gets down the lane easier than the X-Ray, a good 10 feet longer before it starts making it's motion. It's a great perfect choice for dry house shots and burn squads for tournaments.

Hustle B/R/Y - Ball Specs Cover Stock: VTC hybrid reactive Finish: Reacta Gloss Color: Burgundy/Red/White Core: Hustle Core RG: 2.53 Differential: 0.030 Review The Roto Grip has added two more Hustles to this iconic ball line, the Hustle X-Ray and B/R/Y. The Hustle B/R/Y is cleaner version of the new Hustles, which features the iconic Hustle Core wrapped in the VTC hybrid reactive cover. As a medium to low rev player, this ball is great on light and dry oil patterns. I was able to play in the track area and down and in up the five board. The Hustle B/R/Y is more aggressive on the backend of the lane than the X-Ray, because of the VTC hybrid reactive cover with Reacta Gloss. The Hustle B/R/Y is a must have for league and tournament bowlers. Now available for preorder at your local pro shop! My ball reviews are posted on YouTube channel Stanley Waite. The Hustle Core is paired up with the VTC Hybrid Reactive Coverstock to give you quality performance on the lighter to medium oil conditions. The ball comes with Reacta-Gloss on it out of the box which gives it more length than the X Ray. I’m able to go to this ball later in game 2 and in game 3 of my league since its a little quicker off the friction so I’m able to move right more and get the ball to give me a little more angle down lane when the XRay becomes a little to slow off the spot. New bowlers will love this ball for its performance at the price point, and players who are veterans looking for a weaker ball for the burnt up house shot will love this ball.

Hustle B-R-Y Review
Ball Specs: Roto Grip Hustle B-R-Y Cover stock VTC Hybrid Reactive Weight Block Hustle™ Core (Symmetrical) Color Burgundy/Red/Yale Blue Finish Reacta Gloss Layout 4.5 x 4.5 x 1.5 Pin Buffer Bowler Specs: Right Hand. PAP 5” Over 1/2 up Rev Rate 300. Tilt 20. Rotation 50. Speed at release 17 Review: I have always been a Hustle Fan and can recommend theses balls with confidence. The Hustle line provides a lot of bang for the buck. I use the Hustles in two of the dryer houses I sometimes bowl at and have shot very well with them. The Hustle line was designed to be predictable with great performance. The New Hustle B-R-Y gives me more length and back end than the X-Ray and plays well from different lines with very good hit and carry. The colors of the B-R-Y are very nice. The first time I used this ball for a set, I shot 714 while subbing on a lower volume house pattern. I was able to use the B-R-Y all three games with minor moves on the lane. The Hustles act like a much more expensive ball on the right pattern. I drilled the B-R-Y and X-Ray at the same time with the same layout and threw them at a few centers together and the B-R-Y provides more length and backend due to the cover. The total boards are close but the shapes are different with the X-Ray being smoother. I will put this ball above my Surge and below my Tour Dynamix in total hook. This ball should be a great choice for a newer bowler or a beast in the hands of a high rev or no thumb bowler. Summary: The Hustle B-R-Y is a beautiful looking ball. This ball provides excellent length and backend. This ball would be a great first reactive ball for most bowlers. BRY is Awesome!
Roto Grip Hustle B-R-Y PRODUCT DETAILS: Hustle Lightweight core wrapped in VTC hybrid reactive coverstock. Finished at 2000ab with Rough Edge compound, which helps create higher dry lane COF. Layout: 4 x 3 ½ x 3 My updated specs: Ball speed: average 15.5 mph. - Rev Rate: 425 – Axle tilt: 16 degrees – Axis rotation 70 degrees. Welcome the next generation in the Hustle Line, the all-new Hustle B-R-Y, burgundy, red, and yale blue are the colors on this new Hustle, along with VTC hybrid coverstock. The coloring is amazing on this ball, you know when it goes down the lane it’s a B-R-Y. For the coverstock prep, leaning from changing my M+M from the Reacta Shine finish to 2000ab then hitting the cover with Rough Edge compound. For a little earlier and smoother back-end reaction, which the backend reaction is weaker than the new Tropical Surge Midnight, which is one of the first Surges pored in Utah in years, but weaker than the Hyped Hybrid which has been my “go to ball” the past 2 ½ years until the X-Ray and the Lighting Blackout was released a few weeks ago. The B-R-Y is the best hybrid version of the Hustles in nearly 7 years by ha having the best overall length and pin carry versus several other hybrid version and several polished solid versions like the Camo version which was recently in the Hustle line. The ball fits in the bag a step of from my X-Ray with a 5 x 4 x 4 layout and a step down from the Storm Lighting Blackout. The Blackout has more overall length, but with less “snap” in the backend. The B-R-Y creates longer length, but sharper angles into the pocket. For additional information visit: www.stormbowling.com, and www.rotogrip.com. Hustle BRY
The latest edition to the Hustle line is the BRY which features the VTC Hybrid reactive coverstock with the tried-and-true Hustle core. At 15 pounds the RG is medium at 2.53 with a differential of .030. The BRY is finished with Reacta Gloss. The Hustle line continues to provide bowlers with excellent performance at the entry level price point. Don’t let the price tag fool you…this ball delivers a lot of bang for your buck! The BRY is a great ball for the beginner as well as the tournament bowler. The BRY with its hybrid coverstock, provides excellent length on medium to light oil conditions. The backend motion of the BRY will be more angular than the Hustle X-Ray. For me the I need to be about 2 -3 boards left with my feet when compared to the X-Ray. The BRY will allow you to play closer to the friction, but because of the quicker response, I need to have a slightly more open angle through the front part of the lane. Another quality option for a fraction of the cost of the high-performance balls.

Great Transition Ball
The Hustle B-R-Y is a nice ball to transition to for me when the X-Ray starts getting a little lazy down lane. Again just like the X-Ray it doesn’t normally stay in my normal rotation but it has become a very reliable ball for some more of the challenging conditions.

Hustle BRY Review
Layout: 4 1/2 x 3 1/2 x 2 Surface: Reacta Gloss The Hustle BRY brings back the Hustle Core with the VTC Hybrid coverstock. This ball brings a lot of performance for its lower entry level price point. Compared to the Hustle RIP with the same reacta gloss surface and drilling, I saw a little cleaner through the front with a sharper backend motion with ample continuation. I was able to move about 2 boards left with my feet and 1 board with my eyes with the BRY to account for the stronger down lane motion. Removing the reacta gloss, would get the BRY to react closer to a Hustle X-Ray or RIP as it will provide earlier, and smoother motion as seen in the strong coverstock. The most ideal lane conditions for the Hustle BRY, would be medium to lighter oil conditions, typical house patterns on higher friction lane surfaces and potentially shorter oil patterns with lower oil volume. This ball could also benefit those with high rev rates or lower ball speed players who want to keep the ball more on line to their target. Adam Chase Storm Staff

Can you say Value? Value is when the performance beats the expectations. This is what you get with the Hustle line. The Hustle BRY and Hustle XRAY, the newest entries into the HP1 line, are the definition of value. Both have their place. The Hustle XRAY is earlier and smoother down lane where the Hustle BRY is cleaner in the fronts and more boom down lane. Pick the one that fits the gap in your bag or buy both. Lol. If you bowl in a high friction bowling center, the BRY is probably the best answer. The XRAY will be the better choice for bowlers wanting to keep their target in front of them and play straighter. Hustle B-R-Y
The Hustle B-R-Y is the newest polished hybrid offering in the HP1 line. This entry level piece is great for beginner bowlers and players looking for a weak option with a more angular shape. Combined with the VTC hybrid cover, the Hustle core still makes a big move on the back part of the lane. This new take on a classic provides a stellar ball reaction at a great price point! When you want value, you want a Hustle.

The Hustle B/R/Y combines the proven Hustle core with VTC Hybrid. The Hustles have always been great bang for your buck balls and this one definitely fits that mold. I tested the Hustle B/R/Y on our high volume/high ratio house pattern. I noticed right away that it was pretty responsive when trying to throw it closer to the friction. It was a little stronger than I expected which I attribute to the hybrid cover making it a little more continuous down-lane. The pearl versions of the Hustle had a tendency to get forward a little quick for me but while the B/R/Y is certainly quicker off the spont than it's solid counterparts, its definitely rounder than the Wine. I liked this ball best as the lane began to transition as it would clear our high friction front lane panels but still had plenty of pop to get off the back-ends that hadn't completely opened up yet. This ball is a great piece for a first time bowler who is looking to get more hook for their money. Review
The biggest bang for your buck in performance is back with the new Hustles. The XRAY provides a smooth controllable shape with the BRY being cleaner and more angular. I tested both these balls after the Road and was impressed with the performance of both of them. Typically, I do not throw or bring extremely weak equipment as my rev rate is on the lower side although I intend on bringing the XRAY to league this week where the surfaces hook extremely early. Both Hustles read the body of the lane well and provided plenty of continuation through the pins as seen in the video.

Hustle BRY
The Hustle line is one of the best values for your dollar. The Hustle BRY is no exception to that. If you’re looking for a ball for lower volume conditions or your new to the game this is the ball for you. The Hustle BRY is super clean and long, then reads the dry with enough energy to carry all day.
