With the addition of another hemisphere attachment on the Rev Plate, we have created the strongest mid-lane section out any Track ball to date. The Mutant Design can easily tackle the slickest of today’s lane conditions while maintaining the versatility of the Freak and Freak Out. Morpheus (patent pending) core revs up harder when it encounters lane friction, creating a pronounced angular break point, which can easily be tamed. Reads the breakpoint easily, continuing all the way through the pins. WOW II particle shell allows the ball to handle diverse lane conditions and diverse styles. Maintains axis rotation longer with an enhanced angular breakpoint. Dynamically spun at the factory to ensure precise ball reaction. Outstanding bowling ball, good price as well, it hits a ton, very forgiving as well, if you miss a couple boards it still reads the pocket very well, first time out of the box i bowled a 279, 278, and 246 which is a 803. this bowl does not leave many 10 pins, but sometimes if u go to high u will leave a 7 pin or an 4 pin. the ball did not track up at all. it looks cool go down the lane! ! !! ! ! ! !! ! ! ! ! ! !! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !! ! ! ! !! ! ! ! ! !! ! P.S. if i did not tell u allready this is a great bowling ball you should go out and buy one right away

Not having any succes with the Freak it wasn't so sure that I would try the Morpheus core any more. But since the main problem with the Freak, in my opinion, was the the high 2.544 RG and the Mutant came out 2.50 i gave it a shot. I started out where I left the Freak, with the massbias at #3 position, surface sanded to 800 and wow, this is a keeper. This will be the first ball that I will keep the initial layout and don't drill twice or more. Yes, i would recomend this ball to anyone but beware! Unless you have some speed you'll need tones of head-oil or a milder layout and a polished surface. Definetly not for the stroker who first should consider the Freak or Freak Out before he/she goes for the Mutant. No, I didn't give it a perfect 10. I've yet to see the ball that compares to the versatile Assassin and it's exploding hit.

One thing, do not use the ball when lane starts to dry up. put the ball back in your bag. other than that, i can't say anything bad about the ball at all. I have left one smash 8 pin since i had the ball. If you tug the ball you are not going to like the result because you are going to loose a lot of your speed. For the most part the ball has a good reaction for lanes that have med. to high oil levels. Overall, i have and a lot of sucess with the ball so far and I think that Track made a great product with the Mutant.

I had this drilled forward roll with a 3' pin. On the competitive leagues shot, all i had to do was throw this over the 3rd arrow out to around 10 and it walked right back into the pocket. Havent left a smash 8 or 9 yet. Left only 1 corner pin in my games. If you tug the ball, it seems it loses energy at a staggering rate, leaving you something ugly sometimes. Overall, if you need a ball that can cut through the oil and have a nice backend reaction to level the pins, Track definitely made a keeper with the mutant.

If you are a weaker player this could be a great ball for you. Seasoned tourney player or scratch bowlers really dont need this ball. Although, I am going to polish the crap out of it and see what happens. It might make this ball come to life. But why pay for a strong ball just to tame it down? So all you folks that can turn the ball I say beware of the Mutant. Strokers will probably love this ball. It will complement there weak release. Also woman bowlers that want to find a hooking ball look no further. The ball may be good on a "real" sport condition.

The ball is pretty good until about the 8th frame, thenyou have to really tighten up your shot because if you swing it, it tends to not make it all the way back to the pocket like a couple of my others do. So I guess its pretty good if you like to play more direct, but I wouldnt recommend it if you like to open the lanes up like I do. I tried to polish it and it acts exacly the same, when I asked for help, they recommend I drill one a different way, NO THANKS, one two hundred dollar shot is all you get

This ball is a freakin' beast. Whenever the ball finds a dry board, all i can say is watch out. Right handers, stand way left! This is without a doubt the best ball ever owned. Plus it looks good too. Wouldn't recommend this ball to beginners, it is way too strong. Out hooks my hammer vicious particle easily. it's not even a match. Plus when you hit the pocket, the pin action is incredible. I've bowled about 20 games with it and i have only left a few 10 pins and a couple solid 9's. The carry with this ball is unreal.

This ball makes 2 moves, 1 in the midlane and a 2nd more angular path into the pocket. The best hitting HEAVY OIL ball I have ever thrown. I left 0 (that's right 0) 10 pins when in the pocket. Hits like the Freak Out (my favorite) but finishes when heavy or alot of carry down. Will make up ground if you miss wide, but leaves some half tens then. This ball isn't for the lower average, or beginner bowler. It is too agressive, and requires more accuracy than most other bowling balls. However, if your looking for a heavy oil ball with hitting power, there is none better. Track has hit the nail on the head with their Freak line of bowling balls. I was never a Track fan, but I have come to love this line of balls. As a bonus their customer service is A +++++.

I have yet to shoot under 200 with this ball through 4 weeks of league play. It has already paid for itself!!! Bought it a week after it came out and had it drilled pin just outside of ring finger and mass bias at #2. This ball just flat ass hooks on oil. I throw 22 Mph + and as long as I crank it, it has no problem going long and then making a left hand turn at exactly the right time to hammer the pocket. Goes long then when it hits a dry board ........see ya...........left turn. Have yet to leave a solid ten or four pin. The pin action is incredible!!!! Messengers everywhere tripping everything that could possible think of standing in the back row. Highly recommend to any bowler playing on heavy oil. If you don't crank this ball with this drill it will just fall flat. The more you crank it the harder it turns left!!! I absolutely love this ball, the reaction, the carry. When the heads are gone so is this ball. Put it away and grab something polished unless you can throw

An amazing ball by track. This is my first ever track ball but it won't be my last. I got to use this ball on a sport shot the other day. All i can say is wow. Ball is very contolable and predictable in the backend. It is also were forgiving, you can miss you mark by a few boards and the ball finds its way back to the pocket. It does tend to leave its share of stone eight and nine pins, and even some tens when you cover to my lane or have to great of an angle.

Likes: i like how the ball tracks out on very heavy oil coditions while still maintaining a very powerfull pocket hit. this ball hits like a freight train if it gets in the pocket. and if you miss your mark this ball will still hit hard and correct your mistake for you. before i bought this ball i had a 148 average. and i just bought it recently and my first three games with it were 212, 200, and a 190. and i am glad that i know how to control this ball because of very dry lane conditions. all i did was straiten the hook out and i rolled a 245 in tounament with dry lanes so this is i think a great ball for all lane conditions.

The new Track Mutant has a completely new core design which allows the ball to produce a more consistent hook on oil than with other particle bowling balls. The ball tended to rev-up the most in mid-lane, while still having plenty of power left when entering the pocket. The ball can be utilized by bowlers with various styles and rev rates. This ball will probably not become a favorite chioce for the normal league house shots, but is a definate must for tournament bowlers looking to have an edge on the harder conditions. You must buy this ball today!!!

This ball was drilled with the pin over the ring finger and the CG kicked off the center line a little bit. I am a stroker and usually play down and in. This ball let me play the deep inside line. Standing on 25-30 throwing it out to 5 or 10. It would come back from anywhere. I could not pull it a lot though. I did have some tug room though, but more push room. This ball hits like a truck and leaves no weak shots (weak 10, 8-10, etc.) In fact, I left two solid 8 pins during my league with it. This is a rareity because I am not a high rev player. Great ball for a stroker, mabye not for a cranker, unless shined up.

I just got this ball today and had the ball drilled for med track, pin under the right finger (just off center to the right) and the mass bias placement under and just right of the thumb. Well when I first threw the ball on fresh lanes with the factory finish it went a little longer than I wanted but it hit with incredible force. So we went to the pro shop and sanded it down a little with grey scotch brites and I go the reaction I was looking for. A big sweeping arc that hit even harder. This ball needs oil! Threw it later on some medium lanes and it was insane hook. Overall if you are looking for a good heavy oil ball this should do the trick, but be careful when the lanes dry up.
