This has to be my all time favourite ball. It just has so much hitting power its not funny. Also has a massive hook, even bigger on dry lanes. It is also one of the best balls for picking up small splits. Throw hard and watch the conversions fly! Also, bowl it right, and you do what I did and bowl 12 strikes, all messengers, and be the happiest person in the world. A friend bowled a 256 on dry lanes with this ball, and it doesnt really hate much, just unforgiving if you force it down the lane. But hey learn to control it and it a friend for life.

I THOUGHT THAT THIS BALL WOULD BE A GREAT OIL BALL AND THAT IT WOULD BE A GREAT ADDITION TO MY ARSENAL....... WRONG!!!!! EVER SINCE I BOUGHT THE BALL IT HASNT MOVED AT ALL. WHEN IT DOES DECIDE TO MOVE THE CARRY IS HORRIBLE. IT HAS SUCH A HEAVY ROLL THAT IT LOOKS LIKE A BIG ROCK GOING DOWN THE LANE. A BIG ROCK THAT HITS LIKE JELL-O. I DRILLED THE BALL 12:00 LEVERAGE. IT JUST DOESNT HAVE A REACTION WHEN I THROW IT. SO IT IS POOP!! DONT WORRY I STILL LIKE STORM PRODUCTS. I RECOMEND BUYING A NEW ELNINO X-IT. THAT HAS SOME HOOK!!!!!!!!!!!<scri

I've used this ball on my Wednesday night league which is a heavy oiled shot, and the 3-weeks since i owned this ball produced the following series: 730,701,728. I only use this ball in box condition (I use this ball only for heavy oil only) and I can say this ball just works great with my down and in style. My summer season will begin this week and I'll keep you up to date on the progress, and I plan to purchase another Response and change the layout and polish the coverstock. I'm currently averaging 239 with this ball on Wednesday. I haven't use this ball on tournament condition yet

excellent ball over all with good control and hitting power, but when the lanes are flooded i have to use my Trauma ER. I works better on the medium to light oil lanes. The ball is more consistent and easy to control when polished because the polish gives the ball time to get down the lane and help control its very hard arc at the pins. If the ball is dull it will bite to early and hit the pins like a feather . Overall a excellent ball that will arc and hit consistently but if you are to wide on your shot it will skid and roll out of the shot.<

Best ball I ever bought (though I didn't really buy it some-one else did). It's the first Storm Ball I have and Im really happy with its performance and will most likely be purchasing one of the next Trauma balls. I average about 185 but after I got the ball polished I have been bowling 600+ for 3 games ever since. Lanes that I bowl in League are flooded with oil every night, but still the ball hooks into the pocket. Doesn't leave too many splits on dodgey shots, and doesn't go too far over brooklyn. When it does, tends to leave up the 5, 7 or 8 pin (left handed).

At first I was kinda iffy on this ball. I got it drilled with pin above the fingers, (look at Layout #1-B of the Master Line drilling and you have my layout.) Anyways one of the more tame drilling layout but you wouldn't think so in box conditions this thing start hook immediately. Heavy oil ball pure and simple nothing less. I throw pretty fast with better than average revs and it's difficult for me to keep it on the right side. I've gotten the ball shined up from my local proshop I like it better in that form because of the revs I put on it, it burns up too much energy before hitting. Once I shined it up, WOW is all I can say. Nice smooth, not uncontrolable at all. I still think you need some good oil for it though. As for if it's forgiving I think it is. I have about a 3-4 board area when throwing and it still gets to it's mark. If you can't stay within that you need to work on your game and not knock the ball. My .02. Enjoy. I may do a follow up later as I've only got about 15

posted a review a few weeks ago when i first purchased this ball. at first i didnt like it, but realized all i needed was to polish the hell out of it. this gave the ball a little more length and versatility. the ball carries better too, actually, it carries better than any other ball that ive had. the only problems i still have with this ball is that isnt forgiving at all. you need an extremely consistent release or this ball is going to be all over the place. but with the right lanes, this ball is a monster. I usually like to play a tighter line with it. standing on 25 throwing over 15 and swinging out to about 8 or 9. but this is on extremely oiled lanes. i usually have trouble getting this ball out enough if i move in too deep when lanes start to break down. the only reason i gave it an eight is because its lack of versatility.

After about 30 games, I resurfaced the ball and shined it up. It did not do too much to the ball. It only added about a foot in length. I was kind of worried that the ball might get too violent on the backend when it was polished, but it still has a nice, strong arc to the pocket. This ball gets into such a heavy roll that I don't think anything could stop it. Very versatile ball for my game. p.s. Does anyone else hear the "buzz" this ball makes going dow the lane, or is it just me?

This was my first Storm purchase. Before hand, I did a bit of research on Storm products and talked to and watched the locals that use Storm balls and products. Personally, I like this ball a lot. Defintely need oil on the lane, ball will go brooklyn or miss the head pin completely w/out any oil at all. Also need to keep your ball speed consistent with this ball, and of course, make the proper adjustments when lanes start breaking down, or put this ball away totally. I find myself having to play more of an outside line than I do my other 3 balls. This ball defintely hits hard and carries very well. Maybe I should have considered another Storm ball for my 1st Storm purchase, but so far I'm quite pleased with the results that I've gotten.

This ball smells great but looks like crap. for the price, its just not worth it. I would only suggest it on oily lane conditions. not a very versatile ball, but you can play it on medium shots. have to put a little speed when heads begin to dry. I guess if your a power player and you can get it through the heads then this ball would be pretty good but if you have no spped, only thow it on flooded lanes. ball carries great though. left a few 8's and 10's. Overall this ball cost too much for something not versatile, but if you want to put out that much for a good oily lane ball, then good for you.

I've never had a ball capable of striking from so many angles and so many hand positions. It doesn't seem to matter how much or how little you get on the ball, it really blows the rack. More length than I expected out of the box but a coat of ProTracktion seems to even out it's backend reaction. Dry heads will cause you to put this one away. Mine seems to like synthetic lanes a little better than wood. Best ball I've purchased in a long time. The super skid/snap players may not like the arcing reaction.

I have this one drilled between with the pin just above and between the fingers. The house I bowl at always has lots of oil on the lanes. This ball has hook! As it goes down the lane it just gathers speed and hits the pins oh so hard! This ball has grabbed everybodies attention on my third shift morning league. They can't believe how hard this ball hits the pins. My first time out with this one I shot a 551. A personal high for me. Wtih this ball I can see even higher scores coming. Storm has hit it big with this one. Love the smell.<sc

I have mine drilled 4 1/2 by 4, pin over the ring finger, no extra hole. I have played a few different conditions and on all of them this ball hooks. It also hits extremely hard from any part of the lane. I like to get it out when they get a little mushy and no one else can get through the carry down. This ball will. Very playable, just keep getting deeper and watch the pins go down. If you want a ball that hooks, then the Response is it. p.s. I don't think they got the smell right on this one. Smells more like cherry than grape.

Well let me start by giving layout specs. The ball came from the factory with a 2.5 - 3 pin and top 3.25. I laid the ball out as follows: Pin 4 3/4 from Positive axis point and MC2 11/2 from vertical axis line. The pin ended up above my ring finger and put a weight hole on my vertical axis line. The first night I threw it was on a second shift condition and the heads were toasted. Needless to say the ball only lasted about 2 frames, hooked at my toe, and was back in my bag. So, after that I wanted to see how the ball would combat more oil then a normal league condition. I oiled a pair with one of our tournament conditions. 42 feet, 8 units on the gutter to 50 units in the middle. The ball was greatly stronger then any ball I currently have by Storm. The ball was much stronger then the Xit, which I consider to be Storm's most early and aggressive ball on oil. The Response out hooked the Xit by 5-10 boards overall. The ball was very arcing but had a continous strong motion throughout th
