Storm Thunder Road Bowling Ball

Thunder rolls for the third offering of the highly successful Thunder series. Rev it up and let it roll!

That epitomizes the characteristics of this low RG, high performance product. The inverted and modified Thunder weight block encompassed in the high friction CURELYONtm coverstock produces early roll with strong arcing hook on the backend. The perfect complement to the original Thunder and Blue Thunder Pearl balls. Thunder road revs up on the heaviest of oil (earlier than either of the first two Thunder balls) and produces a smooth arcing motion on the backend.

I got this ball after being thoroughly impressed with the Blue Thunder(another ball I wish I still had). They inverted the core, which I think improved the early roll and overall hitting power. As conditions changed I found I had to change the surface to be more versatile. I found the best combo was a 320 grit sand, and polish to a dull shine. With this surface I was able to play just about any shot I came across. That being said, I won the 1998 Arizona State Junior Tournament with this ball, shooting 2043 for nine games. It was yet another ball I never failed to score well with, even when I was off. Definitely a ball for the Hall of Fame. If there was one. 10 out of 10.

This ball has come back in a similar form with the "Thunderstruck" ball line. Very forgiving and carries more 8 and 9 pins then some of the harder driving equipment out today. Only really oily and dry conditions will give it trouble. My ball was set up to have a controlled arc throughout the lane, this helped the energy to be saved to the end. This would fill the "middle" ball of your lineup (i.e. one for heavy oil and one for med/house patterns). I have shot a 300 game and an 827 series with this ball, as well with averaging over 210 even after 10 years of bowling with it.

I love this ball! I picked this ball up at a Pro-Am in Taylor, Michigan in spring of 1998. I had never thrown anything but plastic or urethane or with a fingertip grip so it was quite a difference. When it was new I had to 1st learn how to use it and often would get frustrated and go back to my urethane ball halfway through the night, but once I had figured out what to do with it this ball improved my game greatly. My pro shop suggested polishing the ball to eliminate early roll (which at the time was my problem) and I have a little more backend than I had before. My only two honor scores were with this ball (300 & 298) almost three years apart and everytime I feel like I should probably replace it I bowl great with it and can't leave it home. I play straight up 2nd arrow and stand around 16 or 17 using this ball and when the shot is there I am able to hold that line most of the night. If the lanes are on the oily side, I have problems and come in standing around 11 and have t

When I bought this ball off my friend, I was expecting this ball to be great because on this sight its on the top ten but I guess I was wrong this ball hit like a creampuff more then 8 times I hit the pocket I left the 7-10 this ball I wouldn't recommend to anyone. this ball was very good, my friend let me try it out it was very nice and everything but i couldn't hit the pocket everytime i moved and played a different mark it wouldn't move sometimes. i basically i had to play it straight down the middle i wouldn't recommend this ball to any bowler. this ball was very good, my friend let me try it out it was very nice and everything but i couldn't hit the pocket everytime i moved and played a different mark it wouldn't move sometimes. i basically i had to play it straight down the middle i wouldn't recommend this ball to any bowler.

My Thunder Road My Thunder Road is very very strong ball. I really love it! It's good. I got that ball last year it's a good ball though. The first time I used it, I know it is very good even I didn't use it. I have a feeling It would be a terrificball! EXCELLENT! next time, i think would again buy a ball for STORM!! but you should be very careful because it goes WILD when you play on dry lanes. It also becomes an uncontrollable ball for me. But I like this ball very much. I think i will not sell it to others because its very good.

This ball is great I cant say nothing bad about it. Its good for all conditions. I never really have a problem with it. When it starts to get dirty it hooked more clean it got the same reaction out of it when it was factory and beleave me there is alot of games on this ball. I would most definently recomend this ball to anyone who likes to play the third or second arrow. If you can find this ball anywhere buy it you wont be disapointed. I love any of the balls in the thunder or thunder road series.

the thunder road is hit realy hard on the lane and har a storng cranck on the road. this ball is a reactif and the lane condition is medium to heavy oil. It s mayby a old ball but this ball has a strong reaction on the lane. One of my friend told me to try this ball, so i decided to try this ball and my resulte was impressif on the lane. So i buy this ball Beceause this ball has a great hook and he ahve a lot of rotation on the lane. If you want a good ball for heavy oil than buy the thunder road.

I bought this ball used off the internet. Never used a ball other than a plastic ball. The first game it showed me how good I could bowl. I have had a lot of 200 games in the short time that I have had it. It is good down the second arrow and rolls long on med oil. I took it out and also rolled it in light oil and rolled a great game and series. I let someone talk me into getting it polished and the game went away, my local pro shop cleaned it for me and WAM, here I go again. Bought a new Trama ER and put this ball away, I tell you right now after a couple of weeks I pulled it back out and it is there to stay.

Thunder Road was my second ball than i buy and this change my life a little bite, because than i beginig to play with this ball, my average begining to grow up and one days i did play 235, 245 and 225 for a total of 705. This ball crushing very hard and all those pins goes down to the count. It mayby the ball i'm going to thrust the most of all of the ball i have and mayby the X-Factor to but Thunder Road is the first ball i thrust the most. It's a great ball for someone want to play with this.

excellent ball over all with good control and hitting power, but when the lanes are flooded i have to use one of my Trauma . I works better on the medium to light oil lanes. The ball is more consistent and easy to control when polished because the polish gives the ball time to get down the lane and help control its very hard arc at the pins. If the ball is dull it will tend to lose its hitting power in which it hit the pins like a feather . Overall a excellent ball that will arc and hit consistently but if you are to wide on your shot it will skid and roll out of the shot.
