Performance comes in all shapes and sized…and price points! The new Punch Out™ and Wipe Out™ widen the scope of ball reaction and hit the pins a lot harder than they will hit your pocketbook! Why two new balls? Bowlers and lane conditions are different from center to center and day to day. Both balls feature the proven R2S™ coverstock which has helped make the Hy-Road™, among others, famous. Some even use the term ‘legendary.’ Yes, it‘s that good. And both feature the proven Turbine™ core which create ample dynamics for many players. But, to make sure that Storm has the perfect ball for you no matter what, we are pleased to offer both a solid, textured option in the Wipe Out that will read the midlane and a pearlized, polished choice in the Punch Out that will react later and snap harder on the backend. So, which one is right for me? Bowlers’ styles also vary greatly: some have immense amounts of speed while others are more finesse players. Which type of player are you? Those with softer speed and higher rev rate will lean towards the Punch Out while those who prefer the down-and-in line with firmer velocity will love the Wipe Out. It all depends on you…the choice is yours, and we made that choice easy. Storm – We are “the Bowler’s Company™.”

SKU: TOW My layout: 4 3/8 x 5 1/8 x 2 My PAP: 4 1/2 over 1 1/4 up The Wipe Out from Storm is a Solid Reactive Ball that fills a hole in the Hot Line. It is a ball that rolled well for me as soon as I drilled it. Even though the ball is a solid it didn’t read the heads too early and burn up. It starting reading in the mid lane for me and continued very well through the pocket. When you see the Wipe Out hits the pins you wouldn’t guess you’re throwing a low end priced ball. I get approached by parents all the time looking for a ball suggestion for their kids. They are looking for something to upgrade from the Plastic or Urethane ball their kid got in a have a ball league. I don’t want to stick these kids in a $200 bowling ball yet, so the Wipe Out and Punch Out are both perfect this type of scenario. Having said that make no mistake the Wipe Out is a good enough ball for the seasoned scratch bowler’s tournament bag. It is nice to be able to have an option during tournament play to drop in balls, and still keep a solid in your hand. I have also seen a few people show up at tournaments with the Wipe Out highly polished, and it looked like it rolled great! In short the Wipe out is a great ball because it offers versatility and power all a great price. I feel the Wipe out is a great addition to the Hot Line that should fill many needs!

Ball review of the Storm Wipe Out World Wide Release Date: May 13, 2014 Scent: Spearmint Surface: 3000 abralon (out of box) Bowler info: Michelle Crews (female) PAP: 5" right and 1 1/2" up Ball Speed: 16 mph Rev Rate: 250 rpm Axis Tilt: 15 Axis Rotation: 50 Ball info Layout: 70x4.25x80 Pattern: Various Compared to Reign On at 3000 abralon After receiving the information regarding the Storm Wipe Out I was super excited to order this ball. We decided to put a layout on this ball to give me a really low pin because I really needed a mid range solid that rolls super early but doesn't burn up on me. The layout I have on this ball is 70 x 4.25 x 80. I was able to leave the cover alone when I did my video but since then I have changed surfaces pretty frequently over the summer when I was at USBC Nationals, Queens and then when I bowled in the Luci Bonneau Mixed Doubles. This ball is by far one of the most versatile balls I've ever thown. Even though it is in the Hot line of our Storm lineup, I think for the price point it is so much more bang for your buck. I can play straight with this ball, I can take a big step left, I can use it on fresh and I can use this during transition, I can use it on almost anything. I love this ball because on almost anything it helps to blend the pattern out. I love this ball compared to the Reign On because when the Reign starts hooking too much I can stay where I am at and ball change to the Wipe Out. With this ball you can really start throwing down a clean fight! #stormnation #wipeout #thebowlerscompany #cleanfighting Michelle Crews Storm Amateur Staff Boom Apparel Staff McCorvey's Bowling World Staff NCAA Bowling Head Coach

Storm Wipe Out Ball Review by Brian Watson The Storm Wipeout uses the successful Turbine Core wrapped with R2S Solid Reactive Coverstock. This is a solid version of the Lights out. I drilled mine Wipeout 4 1?2 x 3 1/2 x 2 3/4 has a very smooth arc motion on the backend, and is very controllable. This motion reminds be a lot of the Storm 2Furious. I have good success using the ball on the fresh on house shot and on medium sport patterns. Also the Wipe Out is a good choice on the Wet/Dry conditions as it blends out the ball motion real well. The response time off of the dry is slower , thus giving a clean controllable motion at the breakpoint. The Cover is very versatile and I use Storm Step 2 when I need a little more length. This is a great fit In the Hot Line and a lot of ball for the price point. Storm Pro Shop Staff PAP 4 up 1 1/4 Rev Rate - 400

If you are looking for a earlier rolling smooth ball on a Budget look no further. This is one of my favorites on league night around game two when the lanes can start to show some over/under reaction. The smoothness of the WipeOut gives me a nice controllable look that likes the oil but doesn't go sideways and get uncontrollable in the dryer parts of the lane. The Turbine core has been a solid and proven winner. If you were a fan of the tropical heats this is a must have! This is one big ball at a small price point! Storm Wipe Out Ball Review Another home run from Storm, shocker right? For the bowlers looking to keep the wallet in tact and still get a great performing ball, this is the one to drill. For your more league-driven bowlers, they will be able to use this early on when the lanes are fresh and there is plenty of friction down lane. For the tournament players, this will provide a cleaner/smoother/slower response time type motion for those sport/PBA patterns. A ball that was similar to this shape was a 2Furious. I LOVED the 2Furious and am stoked a similar type shape is being released. My Wipe Out is drilled approximately 4 ½ x 4 ½ and I used threw it right out of the box. The surface is a little deceiving because it does look pretty dull. After some games, the surface shines up a bit and is definitely one of the smoothest balls in my bag. If you polish the Wipe Out, it will definitely create more length and make the response time quicker. I’d keep it around 3000 to be very versatile on many different patterns. I have had success with this type of motion on shorter patterns that have forced me closer to the gutter as well as flatter patterns where the high performance balls are too strong. The response time is slower while still providing a clean motion. If you are looking for a quicker response time with a similar shape, look toward the Punch Out. The Wipe Out and Punch Out provide a solid one-two punch at a very attractive price point. #StormNation

Finally a solid version of the LightsOut to replace the Tropical Heats! The Turbine Core has been wildly successful in the Fast, Furious and the Tropical Heats and now the new Out series brings an upgrade for today’s lane conditions. The WipeOut features the R2S Solid Reactive which is also found on the IQ Solid. This combined with the Turbine core, makes the WipeOut a very versatile ball. The higher RG gets the ball through the front part of the lane, and the stronger sanded cover keeps the ball very smooth. If you were a fan of the Tropical Heats, the WipeOut is the upgrade you’ve been looking for.

Wipe Out; Layout: midnight; RPM: 450; Speed: 17 MPH; PAP: 5 1/4 over 1/8 up. I decided to get the Wipe Out because I needed a ball that got down the lane as easy as my Lights Out but didn’t have the hockey stick shape, I needed something a little stronger and smoother down lane as I sometimes found my Lights Out to be too skid snap and my Freakin’ Frantic to be too strong of a ball even when playing the inside angles. (Essentially to replace my crossroad) I drilled my Wipe Out pretty similar to my first Lights Out and at first it didn’t go as long as I expected, so I hit it with a wet and worn 4000 pad, and wow did this ball turn to magic. The Wipe Out has excellent length and a smooth but strong shape for when the track is burned up and left is the only option. This ball also works very well on fresh flat patterns as it will smooth out the back end for a very predictable shape allowing for straighter angles through the front of the lane. The Wipe Out is the Solid covered ball released in the Hot line of balls from Storm. It features the R2S solid cover finished with a 3000 pad; is Green and Navy in color with a Spearmint scent, and uses the proven Turbine core. In 15 pound balls, the Wipe Out has an Rg of 2.55 and a differential of 0.038. I drilled the Wipe Out with a 4x5x2.5 layout. I have used the Wipe Out with the factory finish as well as polished with Storm step #1. The Wipe Out can be a ball with a lot of board coverage, for a smaller price tag. Any bowler coming into the pro shop wanting “bargain hook”, this ball is the answer. The Wipe Out can be a very good league ball, and just all around good benchmark piece. I believe that a benchmark ball is one that allows for balls under it, and ones over it. The Wipe Out fills this, in the current Storm line-up. The Wipe Out covered a lot of boards for me in the box condition. It allowed me to chase the oil line of a 41 foot sport shot in a local tournament, as the lane broke down. For me, the box finish made the ball a bit too strong for how I wanted it to fit in my arsenal. I polished it with Storm step #1, and have a very usable, controllable piece for most of the leagues that I bowl in. In its polished state, the Wipe Out fits below a similarly drilled Disturbed, and just earlier and smoother than my Lights Out. This is a great ball for the price point. I can see the Wipe Out being used on a variety of medium patterns. With the ability to change the cover, and have a good reaction no matter what surface you use on the ball, the Wipe Out can be a great ball for any style of player. This is a more arching reaction, so those wishing to see a really strong, angular change of direction, should look closer at the Punch Out or Light’s Out.

I was intrigued by the release of the Wipe Out. I have drilled a few IQ Tour solids with a lot of success, but I have struggled when it is has been time to "ball down" to something weaker. The Wipe Out seems to be a great answer to that problem. While they both share the same R2S solid coverstock, the higher RG Turbine core (2.53 vs 2.49) allows the ball to "tumble" a little farther down the lane than the IQ Tour solid without being too strong on the backend. I drilled the Wipe Out just like my Tour solid, with a 3.5" pin and a 2" pin buffer. The Dual Angle numbers on this layout are 45° x 3 1/2 x 30° with a P2 weight hole, which is slightly under my PAP. I have thrown my Wipe Out on a 3:1 ratio sport pattern as well as a medium length house pattern. The Wipe Out is approximately 4 boards weaker than the Tour solid, and I was able to stay farther outside longer with the Wipe Out. I don't often get into trouble with the IQ Tour solid, but I do lose a good bit of carry once the pattern transitions and I need to switch to something weaker. The taller core in the Wipe Out allowed me to stay farther outside and not sacrifice carry. The ball was also not as responsive to a down lane hook spot as the tour was, so I didn't have to worry about an overreaction at the end of the pattern. I have found that the R2S cover seems to be a little stronger than the Turbine core in the Wipe Out for my game. I have not tried any surface changes, but so far, it is rolling more "cover strong" than "core strong", which is also the case for my IQ Tour Fusion. I will be curious to see if surface adjustments will change the core to cover balance for me. The Wipe Out is a great fit if you love the IQ Tour solid, but need a weaker ball for when the lanes dry out. I also see this ball being great for high rev players that want a ball that won't overreact on the backend. Want to see what I am talking about? One of the May Releases by Storm is the Wipe Out. The green and black solid cover stock wrapped around the Turbine core is a great combination. The core will allow the Wipe Out to get decent length while the solid cover stock will give the bowler a strong but readable reaction. The layout that I used for the Wipe Out is 80 X 4 ¾ X 40 or basically pin over the Ring finger with cg near the palm with no hole. My axis point is 5 5/8 over and ¾ up with a rev rate around 300. My ball speed is around 15mph and I am more up the back with less tilt. I used the Wipe Out on numerous conditions and what I found is that the Wipe Out is readable at the breakpoint. The solid cover stock is strong enough but at the same time decent length. The comparison bowling ball that I used was the Lights Out. The Lights Out has a similar layout and is polished. On a house pattern the Wipe Out allowed me to be able to play closer to the dry and square up to the oil line. Usually, I have to stand left and get it to the right to see any consistent motion. The wipe Out gave me the best of both worlds tug and away!!! However, the Lights Out would over react to the dry and when I missed in or moved too far to the left I had no backend reaction. I also threw the Wipe Out on the Athens pattern and again it allowed me to play straighter but had recovery. The Wipe Out gave me some room especially when I missed right. While the Lights Out did give me more length and backend motion on the fresh but as soon as carry down started my ball reaction went away also. The Wipe Out just out preformed the Lights Out. The Wipe Out eliminated most of my fears about the Hot Line series of bowling balls. The Wipe Out will be in my bag when I am bowling league or bowling tournaments!

Hand: Left Ball Speed: 16-17mph Ball Weight: 15lbs PAP: 5 left 7/16 up Degrees of Tilt: 17 Layout: 5 x 5 ½ x 2 The Wipe Out and Punch Out are both drilled the same pin above the ring, cg out a little bit with no hole. Both with the same great cover stock technology that has been used on many balls the R2S which is my all time favorite Wipe Out being a solid and Punch Out being a pearl. Both great balls for a house condition on typical day of league or when your bowling on a higher volume oil pattern and your other equipment starts to lose its down lane motion when the lanes start to dry up you can go to one of these that will get down the lane saving energy when the heads are burnt. Wipe Out being a solid it is smooth on the back end and controllable. For a medium to dry lane ball it is one of the strongest balls money can buy in its lineup. Punch Out is a pearl that has a wicked back end motion for a low end ball. For low end balls they both pack a punch. My best experience with these 2 have been on house shots during a tournament when the inside is oil and outside is dry and I just stand a little right and watch them slide left and make strong moves on back; Wipe Out being smooth and Punch Out being stronger on the back end. Only thing you have to make sure is be consistent on speed especially if its on a little bit more oil other than that you will have fun with both of these. Storm has once again created a perfect addition to their Hot Line. The Storm Wipe Out uses the R2S Solid coverstock and the Turbine Core. This symmetric solid has no problem cutting through tough oil and making a strong yet smooth movement off the friction. The Wipe Out retains energy while making a strong motion in the mid lane. This ball is versatile on several different types of lane patterns. When the back ends tighten up the Wipe Out still gets back to the pocket clean without losing any hitting power. When the heads dry up the ball gets down the lane without skipping a beat. Storm has own done themselves this time. This ball alongside the Punch Out is the perfect 1-2 Combo in Storms Hot Line. When you want to Wipe Out the competition, Chose Storm.
