This is my first bowling ball so I don't have much to compare it to, but I have loved this ball. This has worked for me in almost all conditions. It works best in medium oil conditions. This ball has also been fairly low maintenance. I have bowled over 100 games with it and it still has a good reaction and still hits just as hard. When there is heavy oil out I usually have to switch to throwing pretty much down and in, but I maintain a 155 average with this ball in any lane conditions. The only problem that I have with this ball is the problem with it getting chipped, I know 3 other people that have this ball and have had the same problem. I have just purchased a No Mercy for Heavy oil, but the tropical will most definetely be the ball I go to in all other conditions.

good ball for a beginner that is looking to get more hook out of an entry levle ball. also good for someone who has a high ball speed looking for a ball that won't crack. good ball and it doesn't suck up oil very much only cleaned it about once every 100 frames and lever lost any hook or back end. exallent ball for price but remember it's very unpredictable just like the tropics it could be raining in the pins one minute and storming on them the next. GREAT BALL ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Get one today. . . . . . . . . . . . . XXX i cant think of anything else to say.

This is a good ball for a newer bowler. It is easy to control and the smell. It is an good spare ball. This ball does hit very hard. I was shocked when i first got it. It doesnt curve or hook a lot so you need to aim pretty close to the pocket. It isnt an amazing strike ball and you CANNOT use this ball on heavy oil. The ball skids across the lane. I would defintly go for the agents instead it has a more visible hook and more predictable. So if you need a ball that goes straight but has a little hook this is the ball for you.

The Game
If you are starting out and want a ball that will hook and don't wanna spend a lot of money, this is the ball for you. I had this ball drilled pretty tame and it still hooks a lot for me. The ball still hooks more than I would like on dry lanes, but I just shine it up and I'm good. I can't seem to get any huge scores with this ball. Highest I can get is in the 250's. It seems like no matter what, I will leave at least 1 ringing 10 pin every game. The ball comes in with a lot of angle. The price was very cheap which was awesome. I'm happy with the ball, but would like it if it hooked a little less. The ball is kinda speed sensitive. A little fast, it will leave a ringing 10, slow and it will hook way too much.

You can play like every where with this ball!!! Its incredibly strong and gets down the lane. I shot 865 in league and set a record with it . If you need something affordable with a ton of hook, get this ball!!! There are no dislikes on this ball. Its an awesome ball and i encourage you to get this ball. You can play the outside with no swing and way inside and swing it out to the gutter. This ball will just come screaming back at you. Also it smells like some awesomely sweet bubble gum!!! I wish you the best!
