For a ball to be emblazoned with Jason Belmonte’s insignia, you know it must be special. After all, his 13 majors and multiple PBA Player of the Year accolades is no small feat. This man knows what he’s talking about, so we’ve enlisted his help in designing some of the highest performing balls on the market, balls which reflect his career. Now it’s time to set another TREND with the Trend 2. “Of all the Signature™ line balls Storm and I have created, Trend 2 has us the most excited. With a stronger cover and a redesign of the weight block, we have created an absolute monster for any style of player,” said Jason. “Trend 2 will give you the ability to move deeper on the lane without losing entry angle into the pocket. If you are in need of throwing that big couple games, Trend 2 is going to have your back.” Fragrance: Orange Meringue

The Trend 2 brings back everything that made the Trend match up for most bowlers back adding more versatility. This version of the Trend comes wrapped in the NRG Hybrid Coverstock giving you more control of the midlane. The Trend 2 is an option from straighter angles with a more up the back of the ball approach at the release but certainly excels at recovery from steep angles and retaining continuation from these angles. I believe this will be the most successful Belmo Ball to date due to the versatility this ball will give you.

I don't see this ball quitting on you when you must get deeper than the others you are bowling against. If you are the type of bowler that plays the deep part of the lanes or someone that needs this kind of motion when you are forced way right or left than this is the ball for you.

At first I thought it was really clean, but it's sneaky strong. It never missed the spot and always made a smooth continuous backend. The Trend 2 has a mid RG but a strong cover and the result is a very unique piece. It has no problem getting through the fronts but always hooks! The Trend was super clean for me and need a ton of friction to get started, but the Trend 2 does NOT have that problem, it handles the oil and is the ideal benchmark ball on the fresh

The Trend 2 features the NRG hybrid cover with a modified version of the Piston core from the Pro Motion and Trend in the Piston LD, RG of 2.54 and differential of .041 in 15 pounds. The Trend 2 is a bit of a paradox, the core strength is squarely medium, and NRG is a fairly strong cover. This IS the sharpest, quickest, or most responsive NRG ball I've ever thrown, which is what throws the wrench in. It's not strong rolling or fast revving, it gives you a bit of extra length up front but it doesn't float like a Hyroad, it starts winding up at about 30 feet, and then just continues to continue or climb. The cover gets plenty of traction and creates quite a bit of shape, but it's not jerky, it's fairly hard to describe, it's almost like a stronger and a bit earlier Hyroad. It gives you the length to play straighter, but the traction and climbing continuous motion, plus the shape to wheel it from deep. It's incredibly versatile, and I think it'll be the most commercially successful Belmo ball to date.

The latest addition to the Signature Line at Storm is the Trend 2. As most of us know, Jason Belmonte and Storm have put their expert minds together to develop a series of equipment. After drilling the entire series and seeing each of the different shapes, the Trend 2 is the one I'm most excited about. After making changes to the coverstock and engine, I've noticed a quicker response time along with plenty of coverstock to dig in the oil. I've drilled one Trend 2 so far and really like it. I mapped it out as 4.5 x 4 x 75. This puts the pin above my bridge and I also lightly scratched the surface with a 3000 pad. It's been a perfect compliment to some of the asymmetrical balls like the Proton Physix and Reality. I've had the most success using the Trend 2 when the pattern stretches, the lanes blend out, and I need to stand left / throw right. I've also seen all types of players have success with this ball. Some of the straighter players like it because of how hard it changes direction down lane and the high-rev guys like it because of how much angle it creates when patterns blend out. If you need to upgrade your bag with new technology in a collaboration between Storm and Belmo, go drill a Trend 2! #StormNation

The Trend 2 is very clean through the fronts and makes a strong backend motion down lane. I decided to knock the polish off this ball, and it was great at blending the shot for me when I felt I didn't have a shot out there. The Trend 2 is a ball that can be enjoyed by anyone of any skills level. Don't forget this ball looks absolutely stunning going down the lane. Great ball in the middle of the bag. Strong cover, mild core really blends out friction and creates a boomy downlane shape without being snappy or uncontrollable.

The new Jason Belmonte signature line ball is the Storm Trend 2. I personally think each of his bowling balls have just gotten better with each new release. The Trend 2 is really good and the best ones out of the signature line! I drilled mine with a 5 inch pin down and took the shine off with a 3000 pad. WoW this ball hooks. The piston core was altered in the latest version of the Trend featuring a higher RG and lower differential with a Hybird coverstock ( NRG Hybrid Reactive). This by far is the best Belmo that Storm has produced. More overall hook than I expected. Brian Watson Pro Shop Staff PAP - 4 up 1 1/8 Tilt - 17 RPM - 400 Speed - 16-17

The Original Trend was good for me. When the lanes were dry and I needed a clean cover, big core symmetrical ball, the Trend was the best. Sometimes though, I felt like the Trend was too clean. There are defects with every ball. The Trend 2 reads the lane sooner for me. Compared to the original Trend, the Trend 2 is a few feet sooner and not quite as sharp off of the end of the pattern. The Trend 2 will be money when the lanes are starting to transition, but haven't quite gotten to the burn stage yet. This ball will give you some length through the front and a nice controlled motion off of the breakpoint where the original trend would miss that spot. Oversall strength wise, it fell right below the Axiom Pearl/Zen slot.

The Trend 2 uses the same Piston Core as the Trend, and uses NRG hybrid cover. Like the Trend, the Trend 2 has no problem getting down the lane with ease, but what separates the Trend 2 is the backend reaction. This ball picks up sooner, and is about 5-6 boards more on the backend. I added a light 2000 to mine, it has become a great benchmark ball for me. I can throw it all 3 games of league without having to make any major adjustments.

To me this ball is the perfect benchmark ball, even though it's a shiny cover this ball never misses the spot and always shapes at the end of the pattern, to me it's comparable to the global 900 zen, I would say the trend 2 is a little cleaner and a little sharper.

The piston core was altered in the latest version of the Trend featuring a higher RG and lower differential. Also, we see a hybrid cover on the Trend 2. I was a fan of the original Trend when I wanted to keep my angles in front of me. I do find the Trend 2 to be usable for more bowlers as it gives a rounder shape compared to the original which was more angular. You're able to wheel the Trend 2 more and this will be good on fresh or some transition on those medium to higher oil conditions.

The Trend 2 is the 5th signature line ball produced by Storm in collaboration with Jason Belmonte. It features a modified piston block that was originally in the Pro Motion and Trend. This new block has a significantly lower differential and higher RG which in combined with the NRG hybrid cover produces significantly more down lane shape than the original Trend. I personally was not a big fan of the Trend, the R2S pearl cover was too quick/low friction to play really straight but as soon as I tried to chase it left, it wanted to go too forward off the end of the pattern due to how much the piston block wants to get into a roll. I see absolutely none of these problems out of the Trend 2. The first night of using it in this center, I managed to snag a couple of pot games and the eliminator win. Since then, it's become a staple in my league bag for game 3 and has paid for itself multiple times over. When compared to the Axiom Pearl, the Trend 2 is a quite a bit cleaner and sharper off the end of the pattern. I could see myself going to the Trend 2 when I need to jump a zone left after the Axiom Pearl starts slowing down too quickly. When compared to the Hyroad, the Trend 2 is a touch earlier and rounder off the end of the pattern. The Trend 2 is now available for purchase in your local Storm VIP pro shop! I drilled up my TREND 2 at 4.5 x 25 and threw it at box finish. The idea is to compare to a couple of other trusted pieces that tend to come out when I think the TREND 2 should be in play. These are the ZEN and IDOL SYNERGY. First thing I noticed about the TREND 2 is it glides fairly easily thru the fronts no matter how chopped up they seem to get. My ZEN is a go to when I need something to pick up and the bigger balls are sluggish looking in the back ends. As predicted. the ZEN was earlier than the TREND 2 for me. I keep my ZEN at a light 2000. They do play off each other well as my TREND 2 gets slightly longer and has that ZENlike pop on the backend. IDOL SYNERGY plays off the TREND 2 as well getting more length when the TREND 2 is starting to check too quickly or go forward too fast. I did also try the HYPED HYBRID. It was after the TREND 2 was slowing down too much. I had to be more precise with it speed wise than going to the IDOL SYNERGY but that is another review. If you been skeptical about the Belmo releases (I was because my rev rate is about half of Jason's), this ball will get your attention. I have been able to get it up the lane or get around it some more and get it back and still have strong hit with it.

Trend 2 Cover: NRG Hybrid Cover 1500 Polished Core: Modified Piston Core RG: 2.54 Dif. 0.041 I have been extremely impressed with the new Trend 2. I did not get the opportunity to throw the Trend, so I don't have much of a comparison with the Trend. The Trend 2 is clean throw the fronts and has a great smooth backend motion. The Trend 2 has a strong backend motion and a shape that gets the throw the pins and keeps going. I threw the Trend 2 out of the box but have recently hit it with 3000 and really like the motion the ball picks up a bit sooner and seems to blend a little better without jumping off the spot due to the polish. For me the Trend 2 is going to be a great transition ball. Not necessarily a ball down or up but a switch in motion that can blend out the pattern or the burn and get through the pins getting better carry. The Trend 2 is going to be a great addition to any style of play.

A ball that, out of the box, is simply poetry off your hand! You know. The kind of ball that makes you remember why you love the game so much! A ball that makes you think, "Hey, I guess I'm not that bad of a bowler after all!" Well, the new Storm Trend 2 was precisely that for me! So, let's take a closer look at the fantastic results the Trend 2 provided on a THS. The heart of the Trend 2 is the new lightweight Piston Core. To go beyond its tech specs is to say this core has a fantastic ability to rev and roll from the moment it leaves your hand. The Piston Core is smooth through the heads and revs in the mid lane with a constant heart-pumping rhythm. I loved how the Piston Core had a brisk turn off the pattern and rolled with a distinct authority to the pins. Further, this symmetric core has a vibrant and robust continuation through the pin deck that leaves nothing standing in its way! For a high-speed/low-rev player, you couldn't ask for anything more! Hybrid Covers give you the best of both worlds in coverstocks, and the NRG Hybrid Reactive Cover completes the top-notch quality of the Trend 2. Out of the box, the NRG Hybrid provided the reaction I needed all night. Early on fresh oil, this cover had excellent traction throughout the lane without burning up its energy as it made its turn towards the pins. As the night progressed, the NRG hybrid read the changing lane conditions quite effortlessly. It also provided a smooth motion off the pattern all night. I like how this cover kept its predictable movement and stable reaction as I moved inside, targeting 18. For a high-speed/low-rev player to move in with that much confidence speaks volumes to this cover's ability to keep you in the game! My conclusion of the Trend 2 is to praise this brilliantly designed new release by Storm. Further, I would say you don't have to be a high-rev, two-handed superstar like Jason Belmonte to score with this ball either! The Trend 2 is truly a game-changer for an older, high-speed, low-rev player like me. It brought a refreshing excitement back to my game. But, more importantly, it elevates the fever to win, which keeps you coming back week after week. So, talk to your local pro shop owner and have a Trend 2 drilled up for your next league competition. The newest collaboration with Jason Belmonte has us with a lower differential core and the NRG Hybrid cover. The Piston LD core has numbers of 2.54 for the RG and 0.041 for the differential. I drilled mine 5.5 x 5 x 3, which is also the same drilling that I have in my Trend. My first impresses of this ball is that it is very similar to the Trend as far as ball motion but after awhile I started to see the differences. The Trend 2 is a couple of boards stronger and actually more off the end of the pattern. The Trend was very smooth for a pearl and the Trend 2 picks up the lane sooner but is more in the back. I can see myself using the Trend 2 a little more than I did the Trend because of the stronger cover and the extra motion it gives me in the back part of the lane.

Introducing the best collaboration to date between Storm Products and Jason Belmonte the new Trend 2! This ball features the NRG Hybrid Reactive Coverstock wrapped around the modified Piston Core Previously seen in the Pro Motion and Trend! My Trend 2 is drilled with my standard layout pin over my bridge with the CG kicked! The original trend allowed me to play straighter angles through the fronts with a controllable motion! When I moved left the original Trend didn't have enough downlane motion to get the corners out! The new Trend 2 with that stronger coverstock and modified core to get more continuous motion downlane has made this the best Belmo ball to date! Trend2 is a new look from the Belmo line. Definitely hooks a lot down lane with a very continuous motion. The cover still allows you to move in and handle the higher volume in the middle without any problem. A step down ball for me from the top shelf Proton Physix and Axiom. Definitely a ball that fills a spot in any league or tournament bag.

The newest collaboration between Storm and Jason Belmonte is here! Who else is excited?! The Trend 2 features a redesigned core from the Trend, wrapped in a hybrid cover stock. These changes have lowered the differential to an 0.041, which makes this ball smoother than the original Trend. I compared these two balls in my YouTube ball review, and the Trend 2 is a little bit earlier and will give you a more rounded motion. I actually thought this ball would be earlier than it is, so I'm pleasantly surprised at how well it gets through the fronts. The Trend 2 is a ball I will throw right after the Zen, but before I get into the Trend and then the Hustle series. Belmo hits another home run with his signature ball! The newest Belmo ball is most certainly his best. The new Trend 2 is a stronger and more angular version of the original Trend. It's a step up in overall hook and is a ball that will allow you to play steeper angles without losing hitting power and continuation through the pins. Trend 2 has the NRG Hybrid cover and a modified Piston core. Trend 2 will look good on a variety of conditions and will give you a new option for moving left without seeing the ball burn too soon or lack "pop" down lane. This ball also will bridge the gap between the stronger earlier balls like Axiom or Proton Physics and the mid-range type balls like the Electrify or Hyroads. Jason Hollingsworth #StormNation

Drilling 5*3*1 Rev Rate – 430 Speed 18 MPH PAP – 4 5/8 * 1 1/8 up I was excited to see the Trend 2, with its great, eye popping colors, to the redesign of the weight block, I immediately thought this could be a home run. Once I put holes in it, I couldn't have been happier. I compared the Trend 2 to the Trend and the initial results were wow, the Trend 2 is so much stronger in the mid lane while still matching the back end motion from the original Trend. I used this on the 45' dick weber pattern and the ball, while not necessarily being the first ball out of the bag, still handled the shape and volume well. Second pattern was on a house shot. This is where I made my video (search Sean Daniels on you tube) and was able to play almost anywhere I wanted. Straight, track, 4th arrow, lofting, I had a hard time getting this ball not to read and roll the right way. Storm and Jason have collaborated to make what I feel is a must have piece for all bowlers. Sean Daniels Aloha, Or
