The Storm Bolt doesn’t just identify a Storm bowling ball. It represents over three decades of tradition, a commitment to quality, and a promise to always roll better than ever before. The covers are robust. The cores are exact. Because when the scores add up, the thrill of sending all ten back tells you that it’s worth it. SMARTLY DESIGNED INVERTED FE² TECHNOLOGY Every Hy-Road™ is the result of master engineering and precise workmanship, all hand-built from start to finish. They are the foundation of the entire Storm bowling experience. This jewel of an engine generates more torque down lane than any ball in production. A technical tour de force, the Inverted Fe2 weight block has historically had a higher RG orientation. The higher the RG, the more resistant the ball will be to changing direction as it travels down the lane. This promotes a cleaner shape through the front part of the lane with a later transition down lane. This compact powerplant of a weight block utilizes more coverstock material. The result? More efficient power transfer to the pins at the point of impact.

Storm Night Road Cover REX Pearl Reactive Symmetric Core Finish 4K Fast Layout: 5 5/8 x 5 7/8 x 3 3/8 PAP: 4.5 over x 1 up. I personally hadn't had a ton of past luck with the balls in the Road series (not since the original Thunder Road, one of the best of all time) but the Night Road intrigued me enough to drill one up. I put the pin above and left of my middle finger with a pretty long pin to PAP measure. I was looking for more of a "boomerang" look downlane when I needed some extra length and continuation and this ball delivered in all areas. Perfect example was this past weekend at our local association tournament. One lane the mids got pretty burnt up while there was carry down on the other. I used the Idol Cosmos one one lane (carry down lane) and the Night Road on the other. They complemented each other very well. The Cosmos started up a little sooner and had more of a arcing motion while the Night Road cleared the dry mid lane with ease and made a very hard left turn in to the pocket. I've seen multiple high rev players use this ball with great success and it's easy to see why. This ball retains energy with the best of them and doesn't slow down when going through the pins. This will be a staple in my bag for the foreseeable future. Brent Ritchie Storm Pro Shop Staff Member

The addition of the Rex coverstock to the Road line of balls has created a monster in this new Night Road, which has more traction than the cornerstones that are the HyRoad and HyRoad Pearl. In using a newer, more aggressive coverstock, the amount of midlane and overall hook have been increased. Due to this, where the Hyroad or HyRoad Pearl have been perfect for medium to drier lane conditions, the Night Road is at home one medium to medium-heavy conditions. It is a perfect stepping stone between the asym pearls and hybrids (Nova, Infinite Physix, Absolute) and the pearls designed for medium to lighter conditions (Phaze V, HyRoad, HyRoad Pearl, Electrify Pearl or Go). The Night Road is overall very versatile; the only time it isn't at home is on fresh heavy oil.

I love this ball! The way I throw the ball, during regular league nights, It's mostly a 2nd 3rd game ball. All depends on who you bowl against lol. Lets start, I like the 900 Global Dark Moss right out of the box finish. That ball will hook easily 2-3 boards more with more on the back end. Once the lanes change, this Night Road is a perfect ball to switch to. Now out of the box, practice and a couple weeks of league play...I actually hit the Night Road with a slightly used 3000 pad to make it a little more on the back end. Also on wood lane house, The Night Road may be the ball actually in the 1st game. Drier lanes, its a ball that rolls very well, I like to play 16-18 at the arrows out to around the 10 board at the break point, and it rolls right in. I can't keep it out of my bowling bag for sure. Very nice rolling ball!

Storm Night Road Ball Review Rev Rate: 375 Ball Speed: 15-16 mph PAP: 5 inches over, 1/2 inch up Layout: 50x5x35 (I have attached a link to the Super Nova Ball Review that I did on YouTube. Feel free to check it out!) https://youtu.be/Ts6llvpHcww The Night Road will be an integral piece in my bag for medium to dry lane conditions. Although the ReX coverstock gives me a slightly different experience than the R2S coverstock on the Hy-Road and Hy-Road Pearl, it still gives me that length and pop that I would need when there is a lot of friction involved. I had no trouble figuring the Night Road out and I really like the stronger response it gives in the middle part of the lane. Go check this ball out at your local pro shop!!! I drilled up my NIGHT ROAD 60 x 4.5 x 30. This is my go to layout for most balls. I did take the surface down to 1000 and bring it back up with Storm Step Two to a light gloss. This is a combo that gives me a better consistent reaction than the factory finish. I put this on the lanes with some other newer Storm releases like the INFINITE PHYSIX and PHAZE V. The NIGHT ROAD is definitely longer thru the fronts compared to both newer pearls in Storm's line. The INFINITE picks up a few feet earlier compared to the NIGHT ROAD. The PHAZE V was close in length, but rolled sharper almost angular than the NIGHT ROAD and was sharper at the spot also. Where the NIGHT ROAD really shined was a great compliment down from these two higher performance pearls. The NIGHT ROAD has a smoother motion that worked for me when the PHAZE V was getting sideways at the break point and was forcing me too far left to carry well. The NIGHT ROAD fit right in this spot and let me stay right longer before I had to go the lower powered releases. Drill the NIGHT ROAD for surfaces that have more friction and you need the ball to get thru it but still have some good motion on the backends. Also the NIGHT ROAD is a good compliment when the higher powered pearls are getting to sharp downlane.

The HyRoad line continues to produce winning balls. The all-new Night Road is the next ball in this line. We tested the Night Road with the factory 4K finish. We tested against the Storm Fate. The Night Road was about a 4 and 2 right of the Fate. The Fate handles oil better than the Night Road. The Night Road has easy length then a strong backend motion on fresh backends. Storm Night Road – I have been a long time lover of the Hyroad and Hyroad Pearl. So, when the Night Road came out, I had to try it right away! I was NOT disappointed. I felt it rolled a bit too early for me at box finish, so I put a splash of polish on it. Even with the polish, it does not miss the mid lane at all. It shapes very well and goes through the pins great. It's very versatile, and it can be used on many different patterns. Get one today, and you won't be disappointed!

Ball Review Night Road RG: 2.57 Dif: .046 Cover: R2X Pearl At 4K Fast PAP 5 3/8 over 1 5/16 UP, Medium/Ball Speed Rev Rate 255-300 Layout: 4 x 4 x 2 The New Night Road is here. This is the newest symmetrical pearl in the Storm lineup. The Night Road reads the mid lane well and has a very smooth motion picks up down with strong continuation through the pins. The Night Road is longer and is more angular on the back. You will be able to move in when needed later in a block or a step down in league if your needed to control the pocket and play straighter. I found that bringing the surface down to 1000 or 1500 with polished made the Night Road come alive. The Night Road is suitable for most play styles. If you like a shape that is longer down lane with more angular backend motion this will be a great choice. Great addition to the lineup! Good Luck and Good Scoring!

The Storm Night Road features the tried and true Inverted FE2 core and the REX pearl reactive coverstock. It comes factory finished at the new 4K fast. I drilled my Night Road with my usual/favorite drilling of 60 x 5 x 45. This ball might is one of the most versatile balls Storm has put out in recent memory. I would put the Night Road right between the HyRoad Max and the original HyRoad. The Night Road is much cleaner than the HyRoad Max and has a much better backend reaction. When compared to the original HyRoad, The Night Road reads the pattern much sooner and has a similar but smoother backend reaction. The 4K fast finish allows this ball to blend out the typical wet/dry house patterns and lets you chase the pattern inside as the lanes transition. This is a ball that all styles will be able to use across a variety of lane conditions.

The new addition in the Hyroad line is the Night Road. The has the very successful Inverted Fe² Technology™ Core (Symmetrical) but with the new REX Pearl cover stock. This cover is also on the Infinite Physix, Dark Code and Fate. I drilled mine with a 4.5 x 4 x 1.75 layout. I am a huge fan of this new REX pearl cover. The cover is earlier and smoother off of the friction. With the original Hyroad cover it can be a little flippy. But the Night Road with the new cover is very controllable. The Night Road has been a great league ball for me lately and even on the fresh. But sometimes the 3rd game is starts to bog down a little, which I can go straight to the Hyroad and be lined up still. I have the Night Road a little similar to the Dark Moss, but its a little more down lane motion. It also shines on the short/medium sport patterns, as it allows to keep things in front of you until they open up a little. I can usually use the Night Road as a ball down from the Reality Check. I have drilled quite of few of them in the shop. Great Addition to the Storm family! Brian Watson Right Handed PAP 4 up 1 1/8 RPM - 400 TILT - 17 MPH - 17 Storm Pro Shop Staff

The Night Road is made up of the ReX pearl cover that's on the Dark Code, Infinite PhysiX, and Fate, and one of the greatest cores in the Inverted Fe2 from the Hy-Road series. The word that comes to mind when throwing the Night Road is CLEAN. Between the high rg core and the pearl ReX, the Night Road scoots easily down lane. It also creates a very familiar Hy-road shape that is strong and continuous but not overly sharp. The Night Road to me feels like an upgraded OG Hy-Road. I think the Night Road fits best in my bag for when the fronts have been beat up and balls like the Zen and Phaze 5 start to pick up too early.

Night Road - Ball Specs Cover Stock: REX Pearl Reactive Finish: 4K-Fast Core: Inverted Fe2 Technology Layout: 65 x 5 x 35 RG: 2.57 Differential: 0.046 Review Storm has done it again. The Night Road is my go-to ball when the lanes are transitioning late in the block. The inverted Fe2 weight block wrapped in the REX pearl cover makes this ball very clean through the front part of the lane with a very strong backend finish. As a low rev player, I have always struggled to move left and trust that the ball was going to have enough power to carry the corner pins. I tested this ball on 44 feet typical house pattern and 43 feet sport pattern with a lot of down lane transition and had no issues carrying the corner pins. This ball will be in my bag for league and tournaments. This is a great ball for all levels of bowlers. Order one from your local pro shop today! Ball Specs: Storm Night Road Cover REX Pearl Reactive Symmetric Core Finish 4K Fast Layout 5 x 4 with 2" Pin Buffer Bowler Specs: Right Hand. PAP 5" Over 1/2 up Rev Rate 300. Tilt 20. Rotation 50. Speed at release 17 Review: This is probably my favorite Road Series Ball since the Hyroad X. I know the Road series has a great following, but I have not been blown away like some people have. Some Road Balls seem to be conditional for me like the Hyroad Max and even the original Hyroad. For me through the Night Road is giving me a different look from the series than I am used to. I get more entry angle and continuation from the Night Road than the Max or Original. This ball fits between my Electrify G/O and Phase 5 in total hook. The Night Road has an excellent move to and through the pocket. I like the 4K fast surface for this ball. The Night Road is a better Hyroad X in my opinion and doesn't need the surface care the Hyroad X did. I used to have to reshine my X after every 6 games. This ball has the thick cover, and I am convinced this helps the carry and popularity of the Road Series of Balls. Although I like to go up the boards or use a slight belly type of shot, I am pretty comfortable moving inside with this ball and keeping my carry percent high. The Night Road works very well on a house shot and uses the oil and friction to its advantage without being jumpy. I don't see much lane shine on this ball when I am done rolling it. We have drilled a good amount of these so far for my customers and we have seen great ball motions from a variety of styles. The customers are providing great feedback on this ball. Summary: The Night Road may be my favorite in the Road Series. The Ball has a very strong back-end move. The Night Road plays well from inside while maintaining hit. This ball goes through the pins with authority! Glenn Wendel PBA Member Storm Pro Shop Staff gwendel@comcast.net www.stormbowling.com

Ball Specs: Storm Night Road Coverstock: 4K Fast ReX™ Pearl Reactive Weight Block: Inverted Fe² Technology™ Core (Symmetrical) Color: Midnight Black Review: This was a much anticipated release for us with the successful ReX cover (found on the Dark Code and Infinite Physix) wrapped around the fame of the Fe2 weightblock in the HyRoad line. It was to no surprise that the Night Road hooks more and earlier than the HyRoad OG and Pearl. This ball seemed to read better and be more forgiving once the lanes broke down a bit. This will be a great addition to tournament players who love the strong pearl ReX cover and want a step down from the Infinite or Dark Code. For the house or league players that love the HyRoad line, this would be a great addition if you want an earlier reading ball than the HyRoad OG. Overall this ball has great shelf appeal with the sparkling purple logos with the midnight black 4K Fast finish and definitely lives up to the Road line hype! Ball Specs: Storm Night Road Coverstock: 4K Fast ReX™ Pearl Reactive Weight Block: Inverted Fe² Technology™ Core (Symmetrical) Color: Midnight Black Review: The night road took two proven parts of very successful bowling balls from Storm's lines. For the cover the Night Road took the REX cover that was found on the Infinite Physixs and the Dark Code. For the core it took the proven Fe2 from the Hi-Road. The combination of the core and cover stock created a ball that is a little earlier rolling then the original Hi-Road. I decided to give my Night Road a little more length by adding some polish to it. But overall, this is a great ball out of the box at the 4k fast finish. Storm Night Road: Fe2 weight block with the ReX pearl cover stock. 4k fast out of the box and the layout is 60 x 6 ¾ x 60, which is a new one for me in my arsenal. Blending the best of two proven coverstocks of NeX and R2S was next level from the team at Storm R&D crew. Not having a Hyroad in my bag for several years, I forgot how forward rolling and great overall reaction from this special piece. I was not a fan of the Hyroad X or the Hyroad Max, those two balls were more for certain conditions and patterns, where in turn, the Night Road fit more across all board including length of patterns, volume of conditioner used and the actual condition and type of lane surface. For the past year I relied very heavily on my Hyped Hybrid and Storm Phaze III for being those staple balls, I will be replacing the Phaze III with the new Night Road. Marking this ball as a "benchmark ball" would be a shame, because it more than the "Middle Road" when it comes to overall performance. Thanks to the team at SPI for allowing me to repping the best brand in the sport of bowling.

Storm Night Road Coverstock: ReX Pearl Reactive Finish: 4K Fast Core: Inverted Fe² Technology RG: 2.57 Differential: 0.046 Layout: 4 3/4 x 4 x4 - 2LS Tester: PAP 6 1/2 R, 1 1/4 D Review: The Night Road features the newer 4K Fast coverstock. This coverstock as you would expect will read a tad sooner than previous pearl offerings. You will be thoroughly impressed with what the Night Road offers in terms of length down the lane and control off the spot. For my review I compared the Night Road to the Hy-Road Max. For me, the Night Road has a much larger window of use than the Hy-Road Max. The Night Road is most impressive through the hook phase. The 4K Fast finish is clearly a homerun on this offering. Unfortunately, the Hy-Road Max cover/core combination did not seem to be a great match. The cover was a tad strong for me and a bit to lazy off the pattern. The Night Road upgrade definitely matches the cover/core much better. Storm has really upgraded the middle of the arsenal with the Night Road. For me, the 4K Fast finish is more complimentary compared to the Hy-Road Max NeX cover due to my slower ball speed as a thumbless player. The Night Road gets through the front part of the lane much easier and the shape down lane allows me to be more open with my angles. The Hy-Road Max, until I shinned it up a bit, was a bit early for me on a few patterns and had limited use in my bag for the majority of lane surfaces I bowl on. For the video review I tested the Night Road on a typical THS shot. After a few shots the Night Road really found its groove on a THS pattern. The Night Road is very easy to read and a great transition ball as you step down in the bag. I recommend the Night Road for the player looking for an edge on league transition and desiring a ball to continue with the transition as it occurs. I'm definitely excited for this ball from Storm. Cover: ReX Pearl Core: Inverted Fe² Finish: 4K - Fast RG: 2.58 (14lb) Diff: .037 (14lb) Me: Right-Handed Tweener Speed: 12-13 mph Rev Rate: 315 PAP: 4 7/8 Right 3/8 Up Ball Layout: Pin over Ring Finger 4 7/8 Pin to Pap 1 7/8 inch pin buffer Storm's new Thunder Line release is the Night Road. The Fe2 core seems to be a success in whatever cover it's wrapped in. The Night Road uses the ReX Pearl that was featured on the Dark Code, giving this new "Road" ball some mid-lane traction to go with the signature back-end motion that comes with the Fe2. Sometimes a ball and cover will fight each other when one wants early motion and the other late. Sometimes on special balls, they create motion in the mid-lane that just seems to keep going. That's what happened with the Night Road. I'm a huge fan of this ball for games 2 and 3. It's strong enough to handle both ends of the transition and it's always great to be able to stay in a ball for longer. I've found the Night Road to be useful on alot of patterns. Navigating a transitioning lane is so much easier when you can count on both mid-lane read and backend motion to be consistant across a huge swath of varying lane conditions. I first threw it in league on our long high volume house shot. I threw it a few shots in practice before league and it looked pretty good with my angles a little straighter but boy did it come off the spot downlane. I figured I'd like it more once I could open the angle up with it and I wasn't wrong. Keep going left it'll keep coming back!

The all new Night Road is the newest in the Hyroad line. Just like every other Hyroad, the Night Road features the same core that is in the original Hyroad, wrapped around the ReX Pearl Coverstock finished at Storm's 4K fast finish. The Nightroad combines my two favorite Hyroads: the Original and the Pearl. This ball is clean through the front part of the lane and angular on downlane. The best part of this ball is that it's very versatile, I am able to play straight up the boards and move in a loft the gutter. This ball will not disappoint, go out and get yours today!

It shares the same Inverted Fe2 weight block as the Hy-Road and Hy-Road Pearl, but this ball has the ReX pearl cover with the 4K Fast finish. The ReX cover is also found on the Dark Code and Infinite PhysiX. I kept the surface at box-finish and have just let the ball lane shine with use. This is a great ball to transition to towards the end of league or later in a tournament block after bigger hooking balls, like Super Nova, Proton PhysiX, or even Phaze 2, start burning up and losing energy. The Night Road still needs to see some friction though, so it typically isn't the best option to start with unless you're on a high-friction surface. I have the Night Road a bit smoother and stronger down lane compared to my Hy-Road Pearl with the same drilling. Due to the higher RG (2.57), the Night Road is still easily able to get through the front part of the lane, and the cover is strong enough to provide a strong, continuous motion off the breakpoint. In comparison, I get similar length out of Hy-Road Pearl, but with a quicker move on the backend due to the weaker R2S cover. This ball will be a staple in my bag and will see plenty of use in both league and tournament play after transition has occurred but still need something strong enough to make the corner when playing steep angles. The Night Road features the new and popular ReX pearl cover that we've seen on balls like the Dark Code, Infinite PhysiX, and that will also be on the upcoming Fate, and the ever popular Inverted Fe2 core from the Hy-Road series. While we had a little trouble getting it to do much out of the box, a surface adjustment made a world of difference and now they see quite a bit of action, I even drilled an additional one with a different layout for a complimenting look. ReX is quite clean and sharp for the overall strength, so when you combine that with the natural length the core wants to get, it feels like a stronger Hy-Road X or Hy-Road Pearl. It's the same rounder shape, but with a higher amount of traction and a firm but not sharp move on the backend. It's very naturally continuous, and while it's a rolly ball, it's not early rolling or chuggy. The round and continuous shape allows it to be in play all over the lane because the length can help you be firm and direct or loop the whole lane if the situation calls for it. I don't find it to be too sensitive to friction, it's a very strong cover of course, but it doesn't puke or burn up on friction and handles a decent amount of oil, though again, it does naturally want to get down the lane easily so it can play on volume if you have the hand for it, but it may or may not be a good choice for heavier patterns depending on a few different things.

The Night Road is just what you expected from another ball in the Hy-Road line, a great ball! It is on the weaker end of the Storm line, which means I will be throwing it on house shots, and when the lanes are hooking a lot in tournaments. The Night Road is smoother than I thought it would be, which has allowed me to use it further right than the Hy-Road Pearl. For me, this ball fits right between my Hyped Solid and Hustle Camo. If you are a fan of the original Hy-Road, you will like the Night Road because it has a similar predictable motion, just weaker overall. When I threw this ball in my YouTube review, I immediately knew that it was a home run release!

The Night Road is the new addition to the already famous Road series from Storm. It has the same inverted Fe2 core that is found in the HyRoad and the rest of the HyRoad series. The cover is the REX pearl cover. REX can be very aggressive, to me, polished and dull. On the Night Road, I went back to my old standard of 70x5x80 and I could not be more pleased. I've been looking for an answer to the over/under extreme wet/dry we have and this is the perfect ball/layout combo for it. This allows me to play anywhere on the lane with this ball, however, I am noticing this ball's comfort zone is between 15-25. The predictability and continuation from this ball is just insane. It does exactly what a symmetric ball is supposed to do, and does it very well. It gives you room on the lane left to right, and doesn't do anything crazy off of friction. An AWESOME benchmark piece I would highly recommend.

The Hyroad Line continues! Storm introducing the brand new Night Road. The Hyroad core that we all know and love is back wrapped with the Nex Pearl Coverstock featured on the Dark Code and Infinite Physix. I was really excited to see this cover and core combination. I have fallen in love with the Dark Code and I throw that ball everywhere. The Hyroads have also been a go to ball late in the blocks for me, but sometimes they are too over/under for me. This Night Road is the best of both worlds! I was originally expecting this ball to be a lot more angular than it is, but it still provides a great shape for me. If I need a clean ball to stand on top of the friction and give me a smoother motion, this ball does the trick. From the deeper parts of the lane, this ball is just as clean as the Roto Grip Hustle Wine, but not as angular. Much more smoother and controllable motion downlane. This ball I can see fitting all styles of bowler serving different purposes in each players bags. Stop by your local Storm VIP Pro Shop today and place your order for one!

Night road The night road is at factory 4k fast finish with the pearl R2X cover what can I say but...AMAZING! For the people who know me I LOVE the hyroad which is my all time favorite ball and getting a new updated road series ball had me very excited and its a pearl. The night road is a great league ball for many different players that I have seen. Before I got mine I helped with a storm matchmaker and during that I rolled one to see how it would be with the ol faithful Fe2 core from the road series balls and the new coverstock and WOW it was more than what I expected. When mine came in I do most of my road series balls pin under ring finger and did not disappoint. For me it seems to be a modern day hyroad pearl but stronger with the 4k fast and stronger coverstock technology. Very clean having the pearl cover but once it reads the mids with the 4k fast surface you would think it wants to check up but it actually keeps going down lane then makes strong but predictable/consistent back end motion. I can use it on fresh around the 10 board then from there I can start moving right lil by lil for 3 games. Some nights I can't use it on the fresh but when it gets to game 2-3 I can use it for the rest of the night. Its awesome to still have a road series ball in my bag and have some personality of the older hyroads but to today's conditions which is why the road series is still being made!
