Storm Incite Bowling Ball

In physics, tensors are important because they provide a concise mathematical framework for formulating and solving physics problems in areas such as mechanical design. The product resembles a stronger, more powerful symmetric core model that blends the line between top-drawer asymmetric and the more traditional symmetric approach thanks to a modest touch of asymmetry between the Y and Z axes. A COMPLETE GAME CHANGER R4S has come from several generations of Reactor coverstock material. With an increased porosity that is higher than its ancestor, you can feel confident that it will grab when it sees friction at the end of the pattern. It has the highest reactivity of any Reactor series cover and bridges the gap between mid-range Thunder Line and high-end Premier Line balls

Cover: R4S Hybrid Reactive Core: Tensor Core Finish: 3000 RG: 2.50 Diff: 0.053 ME: Right-Handed Tweener Speed: 12-13 mph Rev Rate: 315 PAP: 4 7/8 Right 3/8 Up Ball Layout: Pin over Ring 65 X 5 X 15 The new Storm Incite is another strong addition in the master line. The tensor core powers the incite by creating very strong mid-lane roll. The sanded finish of the r4s hybrid gives the ball just enough teeth to start hooking in the oil but still allows the ball to retain energy. I tested the incite on kegel's beaten path pattern to be sure I had enough oil up front. Even with the extra head oil, (compared to the normal houseshot) the incite was very aggressive in the mid-lane for me. I feel like this ball will be very popular for guys with more speed who want to be sure the ball doesn't miss the spot. I had to make an adjustment about a zone left of where I normally play on a fresh shot so it was definitely a strong motion and overall hook. When I moved in and went around the lane I was happy to see that the ball still continued well. With such a predictable move in the mids I always worry about a ball slowing down too much when trying to cover boards. Even with my lower ball speed the incite kept coming around and I really liked it when I stayed in and closed the angle a bit. This is helpful when I'm battling wet/dry in our house as the move left sometimes doesn't help enough with how hard some balls come off the try. The Incite was perfect for playing this line which makes me think I'll like it on longer patterns. I would recommend that bowlers with lower ball speed like mine, or for bowling on drier house shots, change the surface up a bit. The hybrid r4s responds well to those changes creating much more downlane shape when polished or the finish being brought up.

This ball is a complete game changer. It fits right in between the proton physix and the phaze 2. this ball is good for when the proton is too much and when the phaze 2 just isn't there yet. This ball will be great for medium to heavy lane conditions depending on the speed and revs to the player. The design of the new core wrapped in the r4s cover is by far one of my favorite combinations. Don't sleep on this new ball, you have to try this new piece!

The new Storm Incite features the Tensor Core wrapped around the R4S Hybrid Cover. I drilled my Incite with the pin above the bridge with the MB kicked. It's about 3.5 inches from my PAP. This ball was more aggressive out of the box than I thought it would be, and it really compliments the Proton Physix very well. The Proton is extremely early, where as the Incite goes a little longer and reads the mids with a continuous hook. If you're a fan of hybrids youll want to check this ball out! It will compliment any big solid or big pearl ball in your bag!

Introducing the brand new Storm Incite! The new Incite features the R4S Hybrid Coverstock wrapped around the Tensor Core! The Incite compared to the Proton PhysiX for me is that the Proton PhysiX hooks more as the Incite reads the midlane very well and, keeps going down lane through the pins with a continuous backend motion. My Incite is definitely going to compliment my Proton PhysiX for when it starts to hook to early and, become lazy on the backend. The Incite is a new and, unique shape the fits very well in my arsenal so, do yourself a favor and, get 1 of these you won't be disappointed!

I drilled my INCITE up 65 x 4.5 x 30. I have thrown it at box finish which is 3000 and also hit it with a 2000 pad. The 2000 surface seems to liven up the ball for me so I try to touch it up every 6-10 games. The intent was more out of curiosity. This is a new cover and new core design so I didn't know what to expect compared to other releases. The numbers spec out as a lower rg/higher diff but lower intermediate diff. Storm Products has been putting out lower intermediate diff balls with different core shapes to promote a motion like a ball with a weight hole in it. Balls with weight holes for me were usually smoother and earlier in motion. The INCITE is a good ball for my game. I can throw it when the big covers are too early or slowing down like my PROTON PHYSIX or RG UFO and the shinier hybrids like my IDOL SYNERGY are not getting thru the pin deck strongly. Compared to the RST-X1, the INCITE is smoother for me and could be a ball down if I take the cover on X1 down to 1000. With this progression, the INCITE would float thru the heads when the X1 is starting to straighten up or get too slow.

This ball is basically never going to see a house shot. It is way stronger than I had anticipated but I am glad because it is filling a hole in my bag I didn't know I had. I have a slower rev rate with my average speed being around 15 mph so I need balls that will dig into the mid-lane but not over react before it gets to the pins. This is exactly what this ball does for me, a nice smooth shape with a lot of power going all the way through the pins. I really get along with hybrid cover stocks especially when bowling on sport patterns so I am not surprised that I am liking the Incite as much as I am. Not my favorite color scheme but at least it smells good!

The INCITE is stronger than I initially thought, which makes it better on higher volumes and longer patterns. I will use this ball right after the Reality or Rubicon, but before I pull out the Phaze 2 or Nuclear Cell. The INCITE really picks up mid lane and continues strong through the pins. When I compared it to the Nuclear Cell in my ball review, it picked up several feet sooner and gave me a smoother rounder motion. I think polishing the INCITE would help in some instances, like bowling on house shots or modified house shots. I really like the color combination and the scent of this ball as well. I can't wait to throw this ball more and learn more about what it's able to do. Storm Incite! Hey everyone, I'm back with another ball review, and this time it's for the Storm Incite!. In 15 pounds this ball is wrapped in the R4S Hybrid Coverstock and comes 3000-grit Abralon with an RG of 2.50, Diff of .053, and a PSA of .013 with a wonderful Cherry Vanilla smell. When I got this ball I really wasn't sure what it was intended for. Most of the time I have an idea of when or where I would use a ball but this one had me confused. So I put holes in it and laid it out with a 2 ½ x 6 ½ x 1 ½. I got away from my normal layouts and came up with this one from the VLS program at the bottom of Stormbowling.com. After testing I didn't hate it, but it didn't wow me. It is still in the bag as I try to show it, love. I find the slow response off the end of the pattern to be like the original Phaze, Omega Crux, or Rubicon with the length of a Hy-Road. Not bad qualities but I have other balls that fit that space. I do find that when I am throwing the new Hy-Road Max and can not get the 10 out that I can use the Incite and stay right where I was and being a touch cleaner it gets the 10 out. This is definitely a ball that for me needs friction to shine and/or will find its new home in a tournament bag when I am unsure of the surface of the lanes and know that I have a ball that's lazy, but will still turn the corner without rolling out. Cover: R4S at 3000 RG: 2.50 Dif:0.053 PSA: 0.013 PAP: 5 ½ x 1 ½ UP Style: Stroker, more Speed Dominate Since switching to SPI equipment primarily Storm, I am extremely excited about the New Incite. I have been looking for a benchmark ball beside my Phaze 2 which is my got to out of the bag storm ball. I have a difficult time matching up with Asymmetrical balls. I am more of a down and in player, more speed dominant with a little lower rev rate (however recently I have worked on increasing the rev rate and lowering the ball speed) I was really surprised how this ball rolled. I drilled this OOB 60 x 3 1/4 x 45 which puts the pin above my ring finger kicked out to the right. I left the cover OOB. The Incite is smooth and predictable with a strong backend motion reads. It is a little later than the Proton Physix but still picks up well and does not burn up on me with the lower PSA is I need a stronger pin to pap layout. The ball picks up well and has strong continuation through the pins. I have a hard time getting Asymmetrical getting through the pins without burning up and getting the right shape. I can move in with this ball and trust the ball will turn the corner. The Incite seems to be very versatile on different lane conditions as well as styles of play. The Incite can be the first ball out of the bag or when you need to switch to something with a smoother reaction that can get through the pins. Great Job Storm for another new innovative Ball!!

Storm Incite Layout - 55 x 5 x 75 The Storm Incite felt like a lot more overall hook than I was originally expecting. It felt super strong and early out of the box, I was using it similarly to a Proton Physix, it has a little less overall hook. I wound up smoothing the surface up to 4000 to create more separation. It is the most similar to a Rubicon, stronger than Phaze 2 but not as strong as Proton Physix. Really good ball, should help you blend out the wet/dry on your league conditions!

The new Storm Incite is the new hybrid asymmetrical ball. This ball is apart of the Master Line and is the first asymmetrical ball in that line. It features the Tensor Core wrapped in R4S Hybrid. This core is similar to the Rondure Core that is found in the Rubicon and the Rubicon UC2. The core was designed to be a symmetrical ball with a weight hole. This ball is very predictable and controllable. For me it reminds me of a Phaze II with a weight hole. Be sure to get yours today!

Who else is excited for this Incite?! Storms newest asymmetrical hybrid bowling, Incite, has a brand new core or 2.50 RG and .053 differential with the R4S Hybrid coverstock. I was very excited when I saw the Storm Ball motion video for this ball. It's a piece I feel like we were missing and it fills the gap between our high end asymmetrical solids to our asymmetrical pearls. The Incite is that perfect in between that we are looking for from a bowling ball that isn't too early, but isn't too clean. This ball is best used when your asymmetrical solids are loosing too much energy throughout the lane and its time to start creating shape (on the right side of the lane) in order to get the ball going through the pins the right way in order to carry. The Incite's use is maximized on medium to heavier volume patterns and range from medium to longer patterns. The best way to think of this ball is Storm's Rubicon but a little bit stronger throughout the lane. Get yours at your local Storm VIP Pro Shop!

Storm has made a lot of great balls over the years. I just wish they could come up with original names for them. I personally had the Storm super natural and the Insite super natural in my bag at the same time lol Now they made the Storm Incite. If I get one I can add it to my collection of the 5 original Insite bowing balls I already have.

The Storm Incite features the all-new Tensor Core, which yields an RG of 2.50, Diff or 0.053 and PSA of 0.013, which is wrapped around the Hybrid version of R4S. I drilled mine 5 x 5 x 3. After throwing this ball for while, I was completely impressed on how much backend shape this ball created for being a mild asymmetrical ball. I haven't found a pattern that at some point this ball wasn't looking good. I was able to throw it straighter on the fresh and then once the lanes started transitioning I kept on moving in and the ball never stopped. The Incite will fill the bridge between the bigger asymmetrical balls and the symmetrical balls because it's the best of both words. It is actually a little stronger with a similar down lane move as an Idol Synergy for me but because 3000 grit finish on the Incite, it picks up the lane about a foot sooner and handles the higher volumes a little bit better. No matter the pattern, I will always have the Incite in my bag!

The Incite features the brand new mildly asymmetric tensor core. The tensor core boasts an RG of 2.49 and differential of 0.051 with a PSA of 0.011 in #16 respectively. The core was designed similarly to the rondure core found in the Rubicon and Rubicon UC2. The design intent behind this was to mimic the displaced core mass you have when drilling a symmetric ball with a weight hole. This provides a stronger, smoother and more continuous ball motion without the need of an extra hole. The incite is also wrapped in this year's formulation of R4S hybrid. When I first threw this ball, I felt like I was throwing a lane shined Omega Crux. It provided a medium to higher amount of friction with being less forward than the Omega. This ball has been a staple in my tournament bag the last month and provides a perfect ball down from an Omega Crux and Gravity Evolve when I need to open up my angles more through the front part of the lane. When compared to the Omega Crux, I found the Incite to be a touch cleaner, more responsive and create less friction overall. The Incite is available for pre order today from any Storm VIP pro shop! The Incite features the not new but first trip stateside R4S hybrid cover and new mild asymmetric Tensor core. We saw R4S a couple years ago on the Fight and Street Fight, and the short version is that it's a buffed or stronger version of the Phaze 3 cover. It creates a very strong but very blendy motion on the lane, almost like a slightly quicker NRG or MicroTrax formula. The new Tensor core comes in at a 2.50 RG, .053 differential and an .013 split or intermediate differential in 15 pounds, and it reminds me a lot of cores like the Ikon in the Idols and the Orbital from the Axioms but with a bit more torque. Very rolly but not really chuggy, strong revving and it rolls in the direction of the rotation. The total package reminds us a lot of the Omega Crux, and with the Omega getting released right before the Covid crisis and being almost a year old now, the writing may be on the wall, and getting a quasi-replacement in the line before we have another Idol and Emerald situation is probably a good idea. I gave it the same numbers as the Omega, 8 for hook, 4 for length, and a 4 for backend strength.

The Storm Incite brings a brand new core in the Tensor Core. The Tensor Core goes with Storm's current theme of cores that are asymmetrical but with less asymmetry than traditional asymmetrical high end balls. The coverstock is the Hybrid R4S which was found in the original Storm Fight. This ball is very strong and needs oil. For me it feels like it fits more in the higher end Premier Line than the Master Line as it sits currently. This ball reminds me of a slightly weaker Omega Crux while still providing the same hybrid characteristics. I drilled mine with a short pin layout to give me a strong ball to use on a fresh oil pattern while making sure it is not too angular in the back part of the lane. Although this type of drilling could be tougher to use on house patterns, it will be a staple in my bag for sport patterns to conquer the most control of the pattern. A more traditional pin up layout will give more of a skid/flip ball reaction and a pin down layout will give a more typical smoother ball reaction. If you are looking to replace an Omega Crux or never got your hands on one, this could be a good ball for your bag. Adam Chase Storm Staff

I'm able to get this ball to the right early and keep my hand soft. Doing this allows the ball to work for me where with other balls I have to really shape it with my hand. One downside about this ball is that it doesn't quite get up the hill when my angles are left and in the puddle. I think this shows that this ball isn't the strongest piece we make but is still smoother than our strong symmetrical balls. High Rev players and slow speed players should be able to use this ball on heavy oil lane conditions and can probably get by with using this ball the first game of league. Speed dominant players and rev challenged players will love this ball. Its not quite as strong as our Proton Physix or Reality but it creates a faster transition off of the dry compared to the Rubicon which will help you create more entry angle and in turn, better pin carry.

Storm Incite ball review by Ron D'Ambrosio: Coverstock: R4S Hybrid Reactive R4S™ Core: Tensor asymmetrical 2.50 RG 0.053 Diff 0.013 PSA (15lb.) Color: Goldenrod/Graphite/Crimson Finish: 3000 grit Abralon Bowler Specs: Right Hand. PAP 4" Over 0 up Rev Rate 400, Average Tilt, low Axis Rotation. Speed at cameras 16.5 – 17.5 Layout: 5 x 4 x 2 (pin up) This ball has its own look and characteristics. When I tried to think of another ball to compare it to, I couldn't think of one. It's stronger than an Idol or original IQ Tour, but less than an Axiom. It can be described as a medium-strong, medium/heavy volume, forward rolling, keep your angles closed kind of ball. On fresh typical house shots I had to ride the oil line and not hit the dry boards too early for it to conserve energy and turn the corner into the pocket. People with more axis rotation will be able to get away with misses outside a bit more. On flatter/medium patterns or chopped up/3rd game conditions when you need to keep your target in front of you, is where this ball worked well. Because it doesn't over react, it tracks thru the transition well and it will keep you in the pocket. This ball will probably go in the tournament bag for those tough, in-between/transition games. With the Incite we see the brand new Tensor core, which provides a touch of asymmetry in design, combined with the RS4 coverstock. The Incite fits between the stronger asymmetrical and symmetrical bowling ball arsenal. We see a lot of core with the Tensor engine and a cleaner cover with the hybrid reactive material. I have found this to be more of a niche ball when I would like to keep my angles in front of me. I could see this working very well on medium sport shot conditions. Also, on house shots when you want to have your angles shut down and play more in the oil line. I didn't find this ball to be one where I could open my angles up and throw it left to right. If I did that I would find significant over/under reaction. When I played more up the lane in the oil this ball provided plenty of predictability and punch. With the Incite keep in mind what you're looking for in terms of reaction. It's very different. The newest Asymmetric bowling ball from Storm the new Incite! The new Incite features the R4S Hybrid Coverstock wrapped around the Tensor Core! My Incite that I have drilled is pin over my bridge with the Mass Bias next to my thumbhole! I recently just won $1,000 sweeper throwing this ball on a 44ft pattern from games 3 on for the rest of the evening! I started with my Proton Physix and once that was to strong and to lazy down lane this Incite got throw the early hook read the midlane and kept going down lane through the pins very strong! The Incite is a more backend motion than a Proton Physix but not as much as the quick shiny balls including Axiom Pearl and Zen! Head over to your local Pro Shop and get yours pre ordered today and pick it up 2/19/21!
