Storm Incite Bowling Ball

In physics, tensors are important because they provide a concise mathematical framework for formulating and solving physics problems in areas such as mechanical design. The product resembles a stronger, more powerful symmetric core model that blends the line between top-drawer asymmetric and the more traditional symmetric approach thanks to a modest touch of asymmetry between the Y and Z axes. A COMPLETE GAME CHANGER R4S has come from several generations of Reactor coverstock material. With an increased porosity that is higher than its ancestor, you can feel confident that it will grab when it sees friction at the end of the pattern. It has the highest reactivity of any Reactor series cover and bridges the gap between mid-range Thunder Line and high-end Premier Line balls

Storm Incite Coverstock: R4S Hybrid Reactive Core: Tensor The Storm Incite brings a new core, the Tensor Core, to the lineup. This core/cover combo brings a different reaction that I see in my current arsenal. I see the Incite being a good compliment to my Roto Grip RST X-1. For me, the Incite starts to read earlier and smoother than my RST. Incite is a little weaker overall (comparing to the RST) too. When the RST is going too long or I need to adjust my angle, the Incite will be an easy ball to switch to. The Incite is another piece that shows how Storm is doing a great job filling arsenal gaps without too much overlap across the 3 brands (Storm, Roto Grip, 900 Global).

The Incite from Storm, the Bowler's Company, has an all new weight block called the Tensor Core, and uses the R4S Hybrid coverstock. The Tensor Core has an Rg of 2.50, a differential of 0.053, and an Intermediate differential of 0.013 in 15lb bowling balls. The color combination of goldenrod, graphite, and crimson with silver labels really pops on the shelf. The cover is finished from the factory with a 3000 grit abralon finish. The Tensor core is a mildly asymmetrical weight block that is to emulate a symmetrical ball, with a balance hole. I drilled the Incite using a 4.5 X 3 X 4 layout. This layout, for me, helps to promote ease through the front of the lane, with a solid, strong continuous motion through the backend and through the pins. The Incite provides ample traction in the midlane with the box finish, but does smooth out a bit over time with usage. A freshening up with a new abralon pad brings back the solid midlane traction that the R4S Hybrid coverstock provides. I like to use my Incite when my Axiom with the same pin placement starts to get a little lazy around the corner because of oil carry-down on medium to higher volume patterns. The Axiom is perfect when the backends are fresh and I need a slower continuous motion through the pins, but as the lane goes through transition, the Incite is the ball to go to because it has a more defined motion off the spot and gives me better angle than what the Axiom provides. The Incite is also a great ball down from my Proton Physixs with 4.5 X 2 X 4 layout. When the Proton gets too angular, but I still need a defined motion, I can drop down to the Incite and get more length and have less angle through the pins. I really like the Incite. The Incite is a ball that has a decent amount of pattern coverage, and the coverstock takes changes well. Stop by your local Storm VIP pro shop, and drill an Incite today. Bowl up a Storm!

Incite: Master Series Coverstock: R4S Hybrid Reactive Finish: 3000 Grit Abralon Core: Tensor Asymmetric Core RG: 2.50 (15lb) Differential: 0.053 (15lb) Int. Differential: .013 Layout: 4 x 4 x 1 Tester PAP: 5 1/8 R, 1/2 D Lane Condition: Medium – Heavy Pattern Review: 42' Typical House Pattern The all new Storm Incite lights a new dimension into ball motion. The new Tensor core combined with R4S Hybrid coverstock brings some new thoughts and ideas to your game. Let's take a deeper look into this THS review from an older, straighter, low-rev player's viewpoint. The new Tensor asymmetric core rolled quite briskly down lane from the first shot. I found the core to rev a bit earlier like a symmetrical core, yet it took its time to stand up down lane like an asymmetric. With the combined look of asym/sym in mind, this core rolled best for me with more firmness off my hand and generally more of an "attack" to the lanes. I needed to get this core down lane vigorously to retain its energy at the pins; otherwise being a lower rev player using a soft hand would cause the core to roll out and leave those "I felt it off my hand" ten pins. I'm a huge fan of hybrid coverstocks for my style and the R4S Hybrid clearly delivers on the Incite! This cover LOVES oil! I had fun starting out on fresh oil standing inside and rolling 12-16 rather than standing far right and looking 6 -11. The R4S cover has a strong bite to it and being a higher speed player I enjoyed the traction it provided while rolling outside of my comfort zone. The 3000 grit box finish reacted well early on, but a tweak to 4000 grit and a bit of lane shine brought the best overall reaction out of the R4S for me. In conclusion, the new Incite is a strong and effective ball from Storm. For THS bowlers, you will find the Incite fits well with longer house patterns and higher volumes of oil. Further, because of the uniqueness this ball provides, I would strongly suggest the Incite for those youth or adults looking to transition from THS to challenge patterns. The Storm Incite clearly has its place. Add it to your arsenal today! Rick Klimowicz Storm Products Pro Shop Staff Roll the Ball Pro shop Penndel, Pa

Storm Incite Layout: 4 1/2 x 4 x 2 Rev Rate: 325 rpm, 7 degree of axis tilt, 40 degree of axis rotation Testing information: 41 foot THS (medium to light volume) Bowling Center: Fulton Bowling Center Kegel Machine – Brunswick Anvilane The Storm Incite utilizes the new R4S hybrid coverstock with the Tensor core. The Tensor core is designed to place the thumb hole in a specific place in the core. The Incite can be fine tuned with this design and with coverstock adjustments. The Incite is Storm's version of a lower-end asymmetrical ball to replace the symmetrical balls with ow weight holes. The Incite rolled very similar to the Roto Grip RST X-1. Storm Incite Before drilling Rg. 2.50 Diff .053 Int. .013 I drilled this ball 5 ¾ x 4 x 2. I went with a longer pin to pap because the after drilling numbers on this ball are higher and I wanted to see the ball get through the fronts a little easier. The Incite is dull out of box, so I decided to shine it. I use 5 ¾ pins on asymmetrical balls with higher than a .050 diff, because I like to see my ball glide through the fronts when the front part of the lane is hooking. I love the colors, and it looks awesome going down the lane. My recommendations for slower ball speed players are to bring up the cover to a shiny finish to get the ball to store more energy. Layout: 65 x 4 ½ x 35 The Incite, despite having a lower mass bias differential, still has an absolute ton of mid-lane roll. It gets through the front of the lane a little easier than the traditional high-end sanded asymmetrical ball, but then digs in throughout the midlane and backend. It is right at home for fresh house shots, or any medium-heavy oil lane condition. In a comparison to the Rubicon, Roto Grip's lower asym differential ball, the Incite is definitely stronger overall. I would place it below the Proton Physix, but stronger than balls like the Axiom and HyRoad Max. For most people, this could easily be the strongest ball in their bag.

Storm Incite - R4S hybrid reactive coverstock - Tensor Core 3000ab grit finish from factory - layout - 65 x 2 x 50 This is by far the most technically advanced bowling ball I ever owned . As relayed by Alex Hoskins in his youtube video about the Tensor core with the different layers allow the core to have higher RG areas closer to the surface and the low points producing lower RG areas. With doing a 2 inch P2P layout, Bret at Bowlers' Supply able him to leave more of the rounded peaks undisturbed allowing the ball to save energy downlane and not slow down too early like a symmetric ball with a 2 inch P2P layout. The R4S cover adds more power downlane then the R2S has produced in the past. The R4S cover does take cover changes very well. From 500 grit to 4000 grit. I decided to take it back down to 3000 grit because it suited the pattern best over the course of several games. Compared to a Proton Physix, the incite is longer and stronger from the foul line to the pit. Will keep this one in the ball arsenal for a good long time.

Speed at cameras 15.5 Review: Storm gets real scientific and Technical in its promotion of the new Incite, but I can sum it up as a Really Darn Good ball! I drilled this up a while ago but just recently have been able to test it. This ball has me very excited. I was able to get away with powerful strikes while being off balance and being lazy with my release. My wife said this may be her new favorite ball of mine. It comes sanded to 3000 but looks more like 1500 – 2000 to me if we prepped it in the shop. The Incite is stronger than my Global Reality and is more responsive at the end of the pattern but a bit weaker overall than my Storm Proton. The Incite reads the pattern quickly with no problem but saves plenty of movement for the back end of the lane. I was very comfortable rolling this ball on multiple lines and the ball hits like a truck! I did not drill this ball with a strong layout but I am getting all I want from it and more. This ball will be a great addition to Storms line. We sold the first VIP Incite to a bowler who used it on sport shot and he was having the best look of everyone on that pattern. The Incite was a hit at our Matchmaker Ball Demo and I have preorders ready to fill on release date. I will need to make sure I have plenty extra in stock. This ball is a must in my tournament line up. Summary: The Incite delivers a lot of hook and hit! The Incite revs up nicely in the back creating a great shape. This ball will be a big seller for Storm. Video Link: https://youtu.be/qzHrJL9ellO Glenn Wendel PBA Member Storm Pro Shop Staff gwendel@comcast.net www.stormbowling.com

Ball Specs: Storm Incite Coverstock: 3000 R4S™ Hyrbid Reactive Weight Block: Tensor™ Core (Asymmetrical) Color: Goldenrod/Graphite/Crimson Review: We are really loving this new "lesser asymmetric" ball to the Storm line for several reasons. It takes on surface changes remarkably well, making it blend into any bag because of its versatility. Out of box the Incite also seems to be a different shape than what you are used to from a Storm asymmetrical ball. It meshes well between the traditional symmetrical and asymmetrical that you may be used to. During a long block I find myself turning to this ball between my Proton Physix and my OG Hy-Road. The Storm Incite will definitely be a ball I take to league and tournaments. We only have four people on a pair during league so the lanes don't break down quick or as much. I was looking for something stronger to add to my bag that was less than the Proton PhysiX and decided on the Incite. I am very glad I did. This ball is smooth through the fronts and really pops on the backend. This is just what I was looking for to add to my arsenal. I have a low rev rate and higher ball speed so when I have to start moving left I usually ball up and this will be something I can ball up to. I can even start the night with it, keep moving left with my feet, and it still bangs through the 1-3. I look forward to seeing what this ball is going to give me on a sport shot. I am heading to Women's Nationals next month and the Open Championships in June. This ball will be one that I take with me.

The new Storm Incite features the all new Tensor core wrapped in the R4S hybrid coverstock. This ball has been very versatile for me, and takes surface changes very well. When taking a 1000 grit pad to it, I was able to play the oil in the middle part of the lane without losing any carry on the corner pins. It picks up so well in the midlane, but did not lose much on the backend I also threw some Storm Reacta Shine on it up just see and was not disappointed. I was amazed to see how clean the ball was through the front part of the lane, and the recovery on the end was very strong. This is probably the most versatile ball in my bag and cant wait to see what does on some tournament shots.

The Storm Incite has slightly different core shape, which results in a noticeable difference in ball motion. The Incite is a mild asymmetric ball that blends the line between top-of-the-line asymmetric and symmetric bowling balls. I chose to drill my Incite with a pin down layout: 55 x 5 x 75. In my eyes, this ball has a very smooth overall motion. This core and cover combination seems to work very well when I need to blend the over/under reaction. I can also use this ball on shorter medium patterns where I need to keep my launch angles a little straighter. When a stronger ball like Proton PhysiX becomes to strong, Incite might be the next ball to go to before going into symmetrical cores. I can see myself using this ball a lot on league nights or oil patterns where a lot of wet/dry reaction occurs.

Incite The Incite is a combination of the new Tensor core and the R4S hybrid cover. Where I see this ball fitting in the Storm lineup is right in between the high-end asymmetric balls like the Parallax Effect and the more traditional symmetric balls like the Axiom Pearl. I drilled my Incite 45x4x20 and I am really impressed by the length I get even with the sanded hybrid cover and the control on the back that the Incite gives me. I like to think of these small asymmetric cores (cores with low intermediate differential) as hybrid cores. These types of cores allow you to have the best of both worlds, much in the same way that hybrid covers do. The Incite is an instant success!

The new Storm Incite features the all new Tensor core wrapped in the R4S hybrid coverstock. The intent with the new core design is to simulate the ball motion achieved by the now illegal weight hole without having to drill an extra hole into the core. This ball is one of the most versatile balls I have seen in a long time. This ball can be used on a wide variety of lane conditions and bowlers of all styles will find a use for it. The hybrid coverstock comes finished at 3000 grit abralon but still clears the front part of the lanes with ease. The backend motion of the Incite is a motion not normally seen from an asymmetrical ball. The strong motion and continuation thru the pins is something that is usually seen in a symmetrical ball. This ball is definitely a step down from the Proton Physix but will complement it nicely when the Proton Physix is just too strong. The Incite works well from any part of the lane. It can be used up the boards on longer patterns and can be used from deep inside angles as well. This is a ball of the year sleeper for me.

Incite some Strikes with the Storm Incite The Storm Incite is a ball that gives me a different look than other balls out now with more skid/flip/set motion. I drilled it 5.5x4x2. It has more of directional change on the backend that just sits to the pocket and goes straight back. Most other recent releases have that continuous drive that's sometimes is too much as it goes thru the pins. I shined mine with Storm Pro Finish Step 2 ball polish. This gives me the length I need to get thru the front part to save energy on the backend. This ball for me kind of has the feel of the original Lock or even going back to the El Nino 2000. It just sets up, flips and drives straight back thru the pocket. Definitely a different look than any other Storm ball on the market today. I was able to play oil line on the THS around 3rd arrow out to 8. My PAP is 5-1/8 and 1/8 up. Usually around 15-16mph, I'd probably be classified between and tweener and cranker. It's a sanded hybrid and I really like it when I need a ball to be a little cleaner and control the pocket. It's great on both a cliff and something flatter early because you can control the backend, but it even though it tends to be slower its still continuous. For me it's great on a little lighter volume where you have to control the backends. I struck a lot with it when there was a giant cliff and I threw it straighter. If I bumped it right it stopped at the hole and carried. I also used it on a little lower ratio pattern, and it was clean enough and predictable enough for me to live in the pocket and figure out how to get the 10 out. The Incite is a great new piece from Storm!

First, some stats about me. I am a medium speed (15-16 MPH) player and slightly rev dominant. Last I checked, rev rate around 380 RPM. My A game is playing the middle part of the lane on a house pattern (between 15 and 20 at the arrows) but do not have a problem moving to either extreme if the pattern calls for it. My PAP is 4 7/16 over by 5/16 up. The layout used on the ball is a 50 x 4 3/4 x 40, the same layout used on the balls used in the Storm Matchmaker we held at our facility! It has a 3000 Grit finish on the R4S hybrid that looks a bit duller than that but it does shine up pretty well with use. The lane surface at my home house, Port Huron Lanes in Port Huron, MI, is Brunswick ProLane with a 42' house oil pattern. For the house pattern, I always start with my feet on 25 and just aim at 15 to get the ball to 6-7 at the break point. For as textured as this cover is, it still got decent length and likes to roll forward off the dry boards. Very good for helping control the squeaky clean backends we see. This reaction is helpful for me to determine how the lanes are playing and if I need to go in another direction for reaction shape. Benchmark shape reaction for me. I can see this ball being very good first out of the bag but due to strength of cover/core combo, I would need to move out of this ball when I need to get away from that part of the lane and steepen my launch angle. This ball seems to be a bit too rolly to be one you can stick with for multiple games in a block but it is very good for it's intention. When i tried to increase axis rotation and move further left, it didn't seem to want to pop off the spot like the Trend, etc. That said, I can see this ball being very good at helping me keep my angles closed on tighter lane conditions. Overall, this ball will certainly have a place in my bag for that mid-high end reaction. It helps me read the lanes with consistency and is highly recommended by me. Thanks for reading!

The new Storm Incite combines a concept rarely seen with a new-to-us cover formula and some fantastic looks on-lane! The Tensor core brings some concepts from the old Tri-Sphere core in the Optimus series, but honed and refined and in an asymmetrical package with a lower intermediate differential. This combined with the new-to-the-US R4S Hybrid Reactive cover sanded to 3000 grit means that the Incite does a very good job of bridging between true symmetrical pieces like the Axiom and Phaze II and big sanded asyms like the Proton PhysiX or UFO. Asymmetric tunability combined with symmetric continuation and control, wrapped in a responsive coverstock that still creates some traction in oil... what's not to like?

The incite has gone under the radar a little bit but don't be discouraged by that, this ball can hang with the rest of them. If you're looking for a good league ball for lanes that have a lot oil this may just be the ball for you. Now on the flip side if you're looking for a ball that would play great on flatter spot conditions well the Incite is your ball as well. The thing I really like about this ball is the fact that it lets me get left as the lanes beginning to change on me but doesn't lose anything as I do so. It also does a great job of blending the shot for me as I do start to move so I don't see those sudden change in directions when adjusting. The storm incite is a ball that I will have in my league bag and my tournament bag. I only usually throw balls that I feel comfortable with I don't tend to fight we ball to long. The Incite gave me some good vibes and I got confident with it right away. It actually really reminds me of the Storm Lock I still have a lock so I compared them and I do get old lock feels with the incite. I would say the incite just goes through the pins a little better. This ball really helps bridge the gap between symmetric and asymmetric for sure. With the new rule of no weight holes these companies will have to try and make up for that with the Cores. Storm really did that with this ball it have some symmetrical vibes with the nice continuous shape.

Definitely added a different shape to the bag with the Incite. I was a big fan of the Omega Crux and the Incite will be replacing it. Blends the wet dry similarly for me as the Crux did but I get more shape down lane that allows me to chase left more and continue using it longer then the Omega Crux. Also works fantastic on tighter back ends for me. When urethane is being thrown I can close up my angles and this goes threw the pins better then anything I've seen.

First off, when I opened the box and got the first smell of the Incite, I fell in love. The cherry vanilla scent is amazing. After I put some holes in it, and went with my typical pin above bridge layout, I am ecstatic with how it rolls. I have the RST X-1 and the balls are very similar. I will say as I move farther left, the Incite does continue better, but the shape & backend from both of the balls are very similar. If you need a high-end ball for medium to heavy patterns, you should highly consider the Incite!

The newest addition to the Master line at Storm is the Incite and, wow, it's impressive! The masterminds at Storm decided to marry a symmetrical and asymmetrical core along wrapped in a hybrid coverstock, the Incite is an excellent addition to the line. The RG comes in at 2.50 and differential of .053, it's been a great compliment to the Proton Physix, RST X-1, and Rubicon UC-2. I've drilled one Incite so far and really like it. I mapped it out as 5.5 x 4.5 x 80. This puts the pin above my middle finger and the mass bias just to the right of my thumb. I've left the surface alone @ 3000 and it's experienced some lane shine. I've had the most success when urethane has been thrown, the lanes feel "tight" down lane, and it's tough to get balls to go through the pins the right way. I believe because of the combination of a hybrid cover and asymmetrical core, the Incite still runs over the 8 pin! With Urethane being such a big part of today's game, the Incite is a perfect ball to use once Urethane starts to bog down or not go through the pins correctly. Go drill one!

I struggled with this ball out of the box. The ball wanted to hook immediately and not give much shape down lane. The R4S Hybrid cover with the 3000 grit surface was super strong. I typically do not add any shine to my equipment but It was necessary for this one. I used the Storm Step 2 compound on top of factory finish and boom, it was good to go. This ball is now what I was hoping it would be. It reads the mid lane pretty well but still provides angle. I see this as being similar to the Omega Crux but an improvement. I wasn't able to get in and hook the Omega, but the Incite I can. I have adjusted my layouts for these lower Intermediate Diff balls that are making their way to the product line (Incite, Rubicon, Rubicon UC2). My typical pin up layout is 50x5x30 or 4x5x2. My layouts for these are 40x5x30 or 4-1/4x5x2. this gets the PSA closer to the Vertical Axis Line and letting the ball act more like it has a hole in it.
