<p>The Dark Code is an extremely strong, dynamic asymmetric pearl from Storm. With a 2.50 RG, .058 differential and .020 intermediate differential in 15 pounds, this ball wants to get going once it sees friction and do a lot of it. I went with a 45x5.5.25 layout on mine, which tamed down a little of the flare potential but still retained enough of it to keep a great shape down the lane. I found it very easy to just roll off of my hand and not have to force it to not hook early. If it sees early friction in the mids, for me, it did want to stand up and go left off of it. The good thing being, I did not get to a point where I was too far left, getting as far as 6th arrow and still striking on the used house condition I was on. I can see this being a fantastic choice for medium to high speed bowlers, as well as bowlers of all rev rates. The ball seemed to be most comfortable left of 15, for my style. I had to be extremely precise with my hand position playing close to the dry as it wanted to hook immediately. Another great piece from Storm!</p>

The Dark Code is another amazing ball from Storm. I was pretty surprised with how much this ball hooked for me when I first threw it. But I am nursing a foot injury so my speed it a bit slower than usual at the moment. The Dark Code is smooth through the fronts, really pops on the backend when it sees dry, and continues through the pins. This will be a ball I can start the night with and then ball up once I have to move left. With my lower rev rate when I start moving left I usually have to ball up. But I feel this ball will also be a ball I can ball down to if I start with a ball with surface and then need to ball down as the lanes start to open up. I used this ball of Beaten Path and was surprised with how much it hooked for me. So this ball will be one I can use on certain sport or challenge patterns. I have a few tournaments coming up this month and will be bowling the PWBA event in my hometown in August. This ball will be in my bag to see what it gives me during my practice session. I am looking forward to using this ball more and seeing what it gives me on multiple shots.

We have a new iteration of the Code series with the Dark Code. Similar to the other Code balls the RAD4 core is utilized featuring a RG of 2.49 and a high differential of 0.056. The cover is a new formulation called ReX. What I like about the Dark Code is it is earlier compared to the Code Black. For those who found their Code Black to be a bit too long the Dark Code will be the perfect solution to counter that. This ball will be a great step down off the stronger asymmetrical and solid balls or even some of the solid hybrids. The Dark Code will allow you to open up the lane and create plenty of entry angle

Zach Shoff 900 Global Staff Member BowlerMAXX Pro Shop Staff Member Right-Handed Rev Rate: 350 Speed: 15mph PAP: 4 Over & 3/4 Up As soon as I could get my hands on this ball I did. I did not just buy one either. Since I had both the Code Black & Code Red and loved those balls, I knew this was one ball I must get. Hoping I would get the same great reaction that I did before with the codes I could not wait to drill a Dark Code up. I laid my dark code out with a 55x4x30 and I was not disappointed. The first shot I rolled it on a THS – 41ft I saw the ball get through the mids extremely well and when it hit friction the ball did not just shoot left, but it continued through the pins with a ton of energy. I threw the ball 5 more games and could not believe how it has the same overall motion as the older codes but even better off the edges and cleaner. For sure one of the first balls out of my bag.
