havent used this ball much, still learning the nuances of it. you can get some over/under if you polish it too much and get some carrydown on the lanes. the ball shines when there is a house shot with a dry board bump, and some dry backends. the ball just walks to the pocket and is consistent. wether you play down and in (down 5,10,15 board), and you can open the lanes a bit, but ya gotta have some back ends, but what i found is that when your line is tight, you can still use the thunder, abeit leaving a few 10 pins, but it'll keep ya in the match for sure.

This ball works well for me when Im looking for the DOWN & IN shot and my release isnt very consistant. Some of the nicest strikes Ive seen is with this ball...you know the ones, that falls in harmony with each other and dissapear in the pit in a blink of an eye? the ones that if someone had seen the pin fall, would take that image to judge all others. By no means that this ball (polished) is a sponge...but I am impressed by the ability for this ball make a move to the pocket without the snap. It looks almost boring to watch as its arcing to the pocket, but highly effective. Yes this ball is a good spare ball, the weightblock design allows you to break your wrist for the corner shot for a straight, but finger "tuned" release.

i've had it for a little over a year now and it's one of the best balls i have in my bag right now and one of the best i've ever had. was actually sanded to 1500 with the storm step 2 applied. i'm hoping to keep this ball in good shape to last me a lino time so i can improve my bowling with it. i can use it on almost any lane with almost and number of revs at any speed and with any kind of release that i can do. this ball is very versitial. this ball is probably one of my favorites.

In my opinion, The best most consistant ball ever. Leave it dull for oil, polish it for dry. Performs well on all conditions. I've had three in my 14 years of bowling loved everyone of them. My current thunder storm is loaded to hook. Polished to 2500. Pin at 1:00 - CG at 3:00. Balance hole on axis. Ball go's extremely deep with a sharp snap on the back end. The carry as with all the Thunders I've had is great. None of them have ever hit hard or sent pins flying but the pins always seem to go down. If you run accross one grab it.

Bought this ball many years ago and never really used it much. I could never really get it to work consistantly (but that was mainly me). Started really using it this year - probably 70% of my games are with this ball this year. Ball reacts real well in the backends - needs some oil though - forget about it on the dry lanes. Now that I know how to work this ball I am very happy with it. And since I never used it a lot its like I have a brand new ball this year :-). My next ball will most likely be a Storm as well.

Got this one used from a friend, and had to plug both the thumb and the fingers to widen the span and get rid of the finger inserts. Got it redrilled, pin right above ring finger, cg out to the right just a tad, as a result of me being cheep, and the way the ball was drilled before, the extra hole that was already there, didn't get pluged, and was pretty high. (all my balls w/an extra hole have it in line w/the cg) I have it poilshed and it goes long, flips hard, and sets. This is probably the reason it doen't carry well when light in the pocket, but it gets up there, then sets right in the hole. Pins stay low and fall over. This is one of my favorite balls, and w/out a doubt is my favorite line (thunder, blue thunder, thunder road pearl, lightning) of balls ever. The pleasure has been yours. The great one

This is a great ball when it came out!! I even shot a 784 series and never missed the pocket! I still rarely miss the pocket but with the new oil conditions and type of lanes, this ball does not carry like it use to. Even after rejuvenating it and cleaning it, still does not carry like it use to. Oh well! I still go to this ball today when my others dont hook and I can always count on it to be very controllable and know where its going on the lane. Would love to find a new one out there!<sc
