You get your money's worth easy for the first month, but if you try to adjust the surface at all more than once, it kills the reaction. I had the same thing happen to my El Nino Gold, and it sounds a lot like what I've heard people say about TEC death with Columbia balls. I'm still gonna keep it for drier lanes, cause no other ball rolls truer, but I can't use it on anything else now. That ball was the best one I've ever had EASY, I shot the best I ever have before when that ball actually hooked. Very forgiving, very versatile, I'd recommend it to ANYONE, even if it dies. I keep finding that it's the first ball I pull out of the bag just by habit. Then I call myself an idiot and put it away.

A great overall ball. Good hook from the factory. I just need to get more practice in to get better. This ball will hook on almost any shot that we put it through. We played it all over the lane and hardly missed, as long as we varied the speed to compensate with the placement. All of my friends who used it want me to let them play with it. This only creates problems when I need to use it. I need to get a wristguard to help aleviate a wrist problem. I hope to keep everyone posted when I go bowling. I am going to start bowling every Tuesday and Saturday to help get my average up. Good luck.

I'm a 52 yr old lefty tweener . . . Just got this ball a few weeks ago. 15 lbs. Left it in its factory finish of 1000 grit matte. Had it drilled in Storm's "Layout #2" (pin 4.5 inches from PAP which puts it just about under my ring finger, and the 'mc2' spot halfway between ball track and positive axix line). So far, I really like this ball. I've been using particle surfaces for a while and usually like the reaction of a more 'leverage drilling', and have trouble with getting good carry with longer drillings. But the "Shock" is a more lightly loaded particle coverstock and it is VERY predictable and controllable. Reaction somewhere between a more loaded particle and an 'aggressive reactive' coverstock Just feed it out between 1st and 2nd arrow and once it hits the breakpoint it just rolls up into the pocket. Light hits carry very well. This is my first Storm ball, and so far, I am very impressed. And it has a nice 'wintergreen' smell too!! Jeff

i was having diffaculty getting my ball to snap with carrydown.bought this ball and all i can say isWOW!!!!!!!!!!! my average is 167 in the house i bowl in, first two series was 634 and 652 this ball is the best ball i ever bought i think i'm selling my arsenal and buying all storm balls ! My shock Trauma is drilled with a simple positive label shift it is very controlable and predictable it probablly could be used on all lane conditions all depends on the bowler! i know i can! i would give up my wife before i'd give up my Shock Trauma<scrip

I will admit that when I saw this ball I was attracted to its looks especially when polished the color is awesome. I was going to get myself one but ended up getting one for me and one for my wife (I just stepped her up from 14 pounds to 16) this will cause me to restock her arsenal with some new balls My pro shop was pleased to sell me 2 Shock Traumas for 360 dollars drilled with oval thumb inserts and Vacu Grips by Vise! While these balls can be purchased for less I believe in my pro-shop and don’t want to see it closed We had the balls drilled and set up differently since our games differ I polished Sande’s ball with Ultimate's green label polish and mine with the black label on the ball spinner (a must have) These balls are awesome hitters I leave the pin deck clean with almost every pocket shot the thunder always follows the lightning and the shock delivers both the hit is electric I can play outside or inside with no significant power loss inside this ball revs up until the last

I am currently bowling at the Roller and the Mini. I started at the Mini and had alot of trouble bowling on the fresh. They were very tight. Tried my Xit which has always been my best oil ball, but on the Mini shot it looked like a hockey puck. So after 3 days of bowling like ass I found my Storm rep. I explained my problem and he suggested the Shock Trauma. I was somewhat shocked at the choice because I honestly didn't think itwas supposed to be that strong. We layed it out 4 1/2 (pin) x 4 (cg) with the MC2 almost on my leverage line. I went back over to the Mini adn tried one more squad. Even though I only managed 575, I definetely had a much better look then I had had all week. The ball out hooked my Xit by about 10 boards. But didnot roll early like an Xit. Very strong through the midlane and great finish. It did not stop. I also had a chance to try it in the first Roller sweeper. Never thought I would be able to use it at the Roller, but they lifted the oil embargo, and for the fi
