I found that this ball flat out hoked too much. The only time I could hold pocket with this ball is when I came across a heavy oil pattern with fresh backends. I still had to cross the arrows at 18 and back the ball of the ditch at about 43 feet. The guy that I traded the ball to polished it and was able to play a more reasonable line on medium to heavy oil, but I only have about 3 or 4 ball that cover that part of my bag already. I was looking for a replacement for my Black Chaos and this was not it. I guess I will stick to the Chaos.<scr

Got this ball used at the PBA National stop in Medford a couple of years ago. It was drilled with the pin under the fingers and the CG and mass bias at about a 45 degree angle right and down from the CG. Weight hole was on the vertical axis line and located from the center of grip through the CG. Unfortunetly, I don't have my PAP numbers handy, so I can't give you a pin and CG to axis measurement. For me, this ball picks up a roll very quick, but is still controllable. A great ball for taming out wet dry as the ball is already starting the roll before it hits the dry. With the early roll, it can get in trouble with 10 pin carry on some shots, but when you get this ball in it's element, you can strike all day with it. Glad I was able to try it as it wasn't a very popular seller around here. Turned out to be a nice surprise and a nice money maker.

when i first got the ball, it was given to me used, only had 2 games on it, the person that gave it to me had polished it, the ball is amazing, hasnt lost any of its reaction, its the first ball i pull out of my bag everytime i bowl. there are time when i think ive thrown it out too far, and sure enough it comes back and kills the pocket, i can throw it for the strike, or if i leave a ten pin, i can flatten it out and pick it off, the ball if very predictable in its reaction, every one should have bought one of these when they were made, its the best ball ever.

This is my favorite ball of the 4 i own. It is the most versatile and is also the most consistent ball i have thrown. As soon as this ball comes off my hand i can tell you how it going to react before i see it. Its that good. Also excellent backend and great pin action. Sometimes the ball will hit soft but usually the great pin action of this ball will carry out anything left. Also lasted very long for me so far. this was my second ball and i had for 3 years and it is still the first ball i throw everytime i go. It must have like literally about a thousand or more games on it and it still works great for me. I dont think this ball has ever left my bag except when im using it. lol<sc

I played on a 42 feet oil, and the ball hooked 20 boards. The hitting power was very impressive. The ball sometimes left a 7 pin because i shot it in a bad way. But this ball has a stronger hitting power than the x-factor. I can use this ball on almost all the lanes and oils, except for the short oil. one of the best bowling balls ever made!I played on a 42 feet oil, and the ball hooked 20 boards. The ball is very consistant. I haven't had any problems with the way it hooks except for the time i decided to wash the grease off the ball with dawn, it acked like a straight ball. Granted I am a beggining bowler. I would have to agree with jk009, nearly my entire ball is scratched up. Some are pretty big too. I really do think it needs to be a little bit more sturdy. It's a great ball overall. I love storm. I'm pretty sure that I will stay with storm for the rest of my life. And I'm only 19.

i decided to try something different besides the usual pearls that i am accustomed to throwing. i didnt know what i really wanted as far as an outer surface. i asked the proshop for something that would hook in the oilest of conditions. this ball seemed to roll out midlane the way that i throw the ball. i guess i have learned my lesson in the coverstock of balls. i think i am what they call a cranker. i line up far left up agains the ball return and throw between the second and third arrows from the right. in medium to heavy oil this ball seemed to roll out like i said earlier and tended to leave lots of splits. i gave it to my league partner and he is less agressive as i am and he just loves it. i cant say one way or the other on my likes/dislikes.

It works very nice. It rolls like a champ with a nice hard hit. It also has a nice sent. Well... hate to say this but the shell fell apart very quickly. It has tons of scratches and little dots on it... I wish it could be more sturdy. Overall at a dry or oily house it seems to work and at the same time not. The shell is just horrible but I love it when it does its magic. So here are the goods -Nice rool -Nice hook -Good revs Great hitting action Bad -Cheap shell -Somewhat less hook with hook...

This ball hits! Thats all there is here to say. I thought that my monster green pearl was strong but this thing takes the cake. I found that mostly this ball like more mediun then heavy oil, but you can play heavy oil if you move right and play more up the boards. One thing why I use this ball all the time is because I never leave a 10 pin. In the month and a half ive had it, 4 ten pins, isnt that crazy. Ive basicaly retired my nova and my rhino proT2 is just collecting dust. All I need is my monster, shock trauma, and my shadow. Those three balls have every condition that I have bowled on. Good luck and have fun

This ball is great. When it hits the pocket you know your going to get a strike. i have mine drilled with the pin right above my ring finger and its polished to give it some extra length. I love the fact that i only left 2 10 pins all day thats very unusual for me i average about 2 per game. The smell is a little overwhelming though. My hand still smells from it. All and all this is a great ball and i would totaly get another and have it drilled for less backend and a more arching motion so i can play that oil better.

Specs; 15#, 3"-3.5" pin, 3.75oz top weight, drilled pin over ring finger, mass bias in strong position, balance hole on PAP, .75oz positive side weight. The number of lane conditions this ball handles is UNBELIEVABLE, I can use it on anything from medium/heavy with clean backends to medium/dry with greasy backends. The only conditions I have had trouble with it so far was a long flood with so so backends (probably just me) and a medium load with the cleanest backends I've ever seen, ball just jumped to much in the backend and I couldn't control it. The ball drives though the rack harder than any ball I have ever thrown, maybe too hard if that is possible. I was in a 6 games tourney in which I actually had it out of the bag twice games 1,2,&3 then switched to my Eraser Boost for games 4&5, pulled the Shock back out cause my Boost was just sliding in the backend due to carrydown, man was I ever SHOCKED even though the heads were toast it saved its enegy and drove through the carrydown,

This ball is highly recommended by me. Storm has to be the best company to perchase a bowling ball. Theres something about the storm balls that makes them perfact for all sorts of lane conditions. Do not take this ball to a bad house or your ball will get all marded up before you know it. If the lanes are dead dry put the ball away. The ball is GREAT on medium oil lanes. If you get this ball on heavy oil lanes slow it down or play more inside and your game will be excellent. This ball does the job.

Its a good ball to pull out of the bag first. Easy to adjust to different oil patterns. Good carry and solid backend reaction. Hard to bowl w/ on dry lanes, but it can be done. Don't wipe the oil off this ball during league play. The balls surface will get slick and your backend reaction will go away. I found that just leaving the oil on the ball translates into consistent shots and a soild backend reaction. Clean when you are done bowling. I reccomend this ball to any serious bowler. Checkout the different drilling layouts to get the exact reaction you are looking for, then you will SHOCK the competition.

This ball is really good and I have had much success with it but like every ball there are the bad side. One is that it keeps oil on the surface of the ball I.E. if you take it bowling you must leave it out of the bag because if you just clean it the oil keeps pouring on the outside of the ball. also sometimes the carry can be weak if the oil is on the outside of the ball. Lastly the backend isn't what I had thought of the ball, however hook and hit are really good. This must be one of the best balls on the market today.

Heard great things about this ball so I thought since I was getting a pretty good deal on it that hey give it a try. Before Drill ball was 16lbs 2 oz top weight of 3.2 with a 3 inch pin. Ball was laid out with the pin just right of the ring finger with CG about an inch from my CLG. Kept ball in box condition and with this lay out it really wasn't that great on the Sport shot. On a regular house shot 7 7 42ft clean backends this ball exploded. Mark was standing around 25 swing it out 2 about 17 with hit out toward 5 and this ball made a great comeback. I defitatly would recommend this ball for a fresh shot for that sport shot I would try a more aggressive drill pattern. When those heads dry up know when to put this away. A good game finisher for this ball I find is a nice polished Eraser Boost.

The Storm Shock Trauma with its wintergreen fragrance is a ball that has tremendous power on medium to light oiled lane conditions, but it fails to transfer its usefulness to other shots. The ball had a tendency to burn-up its energy too soon on drier shots, while never making a definate turn to the pocket in heavier oil. The Shock Trauma however is a great ball for typical league house shots. It will get through the oil in the middle of the lane, while not over-reacting when pushed out to the dry boards. This ball can be very effective for most bowling styles during league competition.

My first new ball, so I didnt know what to expect. It came out of the box and became my best friend at to alley. How can you get so much control from such a demolition ball, had to ask the demolition crew to retun it after use. Keep it clean and maybe add a little Docs Elixer and you have what I think is the perfect tool to destroy oily conditions. I dont honestly think there can be a better ball on the market, cause if there is it would have to be four feet wide and have stablizers on it. ITS QUITE SIMPLY THE BEST!!!!!!

seeing as i shot a 289,257,220 for a 760 series the first time i used it i love the ball. it hits like a ton of bricks and has a lot of hook which ilove to see the ball hook. at first i had it just pulled right out of the box and drilled and then i bowled with it and it was awesome. So far i love the ball and love all of storm products i also have the eraser blaze which is another great power hitting storm ball that has hook. i still have no dislike with the ball yet except of rwhen they ar edry just go ahead and put the ball back in your bag.

This ball is quite versatile for me as I can play it on the third arrow or play the deep inside line when the lanes are drier. Mine is drilled with a large counterwieght and hooks very nicely. In general, if you hit in the vicinity of the pocket you should get good count. In three months I have only had one split with this ball, and lots of strikes and nine counts. Good ball, worth the money, if you play on more oily conditions. I find this ball to be at is its best when thrown nice and easy--because speed, even with revolutions, will take the ball down a straight line.

Well Lets see. I bought this ball and it comes polished, when it was polished it seemed to skid a how lot with no carry. I am a cranker and I throw hard. So I wet sanded it with 320 grit paper. The next day I bowled a tourney and shot 235, 288 and 269. A big improvement over 180's all day. Like I said if you want it to hit the pocket like a hurricane I would imply for you to wet sand this ball. Over all I am happy with it. Even with it sanded I had no problems with ten pin's. Even though I only left one.

For the limited time I got to use the ball it worked ok. I had it drilled pin over ring, cg center of palm kicked a little out to the rightt. weight hole on the pap. Ball seems to need lots of speed or oil. Hit like a truck, no doubt! seems anywhere near the pocket you'll carry. Just not the ball i'm looking for. This is a good ball for just about any style, but only for oily lanes, Put it up during the late shift. Great hit, Good carry, controlable on oily lanes, good length. Wish my house had more oil so i could use it more often!!

Tried this one out on a 40 ft. 5-5 tophat medium-heavy synthetic house shot. Very smooth but very strong, a nice big arc. Hits very good, keeps the pins low. I like it for now, will see how it holds up over time. Drilled this one with pin just above and right of ring, CG about 2 inches above and to the left of the thumb, MB in a strong position beside and slightly below the thumb. I am getting at least 7 inches of flare out of mine, pretty impressive. I like the way the ball turns and arcs but never stops, just plows on through to the pit. Solid entry by Storm overall, too early to tell for sure yet.

I recommend this ball for high average bowlers. This ball is one to have in your bowling bag, but make sure you have less hooking balls as back up. Not a very good ball for strokers because the need for speed when throwing this ball. Very good ball for tweekers and crankers! Ball isn't polished like in the picture but will shine with a little polish, but be careful for this takes away some of the grip on the lanes. Had this ball for approx. 3 months. The first 2 weeks were hell trying to figure the ball out, but with a little practice, I was able to shoot a few high 600 series and hopefully soon will get the 800 out of this ball.

well i have found my mistake on this ball. it was the person that drilled it. it was like if he wanted to kill me. the shock was crap. but i went to a pro and he said the mass bias was off 6 inches!! he changed it and im shooting better than ever with it. i had a tournament the next week. and boy was i glad i changed the pitch and all because it was like a sport shot but like 45 feet of it! i came in 9 though out of 40 or so. i recommend to check the mass bias before shooting this ball.<scr
