Likes: Offered versatility with different wrist positions and different head projection angles around 5-6-7 on a somewhat difficult 41ft blended house condition Dislikes: as heads broke down controling break point without opening up the ball through the heads became a problem. not an overall issue except in my home house where a wider angle produces less carry. Overall: For anyone looking to be able to attack a med. length and volume house shot from the outside portion of the lane to avoid playing the track area with everyone else i feel this ball provides a good option. Can be polished with any type of skid agent polish for crankers and a little more surface could be added for tweekers and the overall strength of the balls reaction should not be lost.

Last month a buddy of mine let me borrow his brand new SHIFT which he just purchased a week after he lend it to me. He used it for about 6 games. He shot an 804 and 769 series with it. It was a Wednesday and my league is the next day and I did not bowl for two weeks because I was on a slump maybe some time off would help me get back in the groove. I decided to go practice but can not get a lane so I was going home when one of the old freind saw me and asked if I can sub? why not free bowling so I was late they already rolled two frames but they were nice enough to let me in. The first ball I threw was Brooklyn strike and the next one was also a Brooklyn but I left a 10 pin then I missed the spare. Then i adjusted from that shot moved left five boards frome where I was standing opened my shoulder and threw it at the 15th board to 7th or 8th board and I struck so I just stayed there I had 14 in a row that nigth then I opened with a 7-10 split beacuse I let up on my speed. I shot a 269, 2

i like the ball very much. it is the third high performance ball i have purchesed and bowled with and it has served me well. i am a huge fan of storm bowling balls and i have to say that they just keep impressing me with their products. the shift is a very clean and forgiving ball that will keep you in the pocket. it is good for beginers and seasoned pros alike. i can say you wont be sorry having a shift in your arsenal. with its explosive power in the pit you will be striking all day long.<scri

Layout 5 X 3, this keeps the big core from burning up too quick with a high rev rate, ball is great on shots with a little carry down the particle helps it bite and track to the pocket, can be a it is a little shifty and somewhat speed sensitive on some conditionslie extreme wet dry, and shots with alot of carry down but is great ball to add to your arsenal. Compared to other balls in its class this ball is not as angular as most want it to be, but it does have a predictable arc, and hits like a truck.

Still getting used to this ball because it's completely different from anything else I've thrown. I put a 4x4 layout on this ball. It hooks a ton. If the lanes start to burn up just put it in the bag. The ball can still hook on oil if you keep your speed down. I've had difficulty using it on a wet-dry condition due to the way it slides a long way on oil but if you send it out the ball will take off too early. I would say its a pretty good ball overall though. I've used it on one sport shot and it was very predictable. Could be a good tournament ball for someone. Good Luck!

On light oil this ball really displays that Shift to the pocket without having to work it real hard. On medium to heavy conditions you do have to work the ball a little more & it will Shift. If you throw the ball too hard & don't have enough hand around the ball it won't Shift as much. I have no problem on either condition with this ball as long as I have the proper release & hit my target. It's a high end ball, it's not a magic ball. My ball is drilled up for me to go long on Medium oil & I start it out between 2nd & 3rd arrow & move in slightly as needed around 2nd game. Only one game this season did I leave a bunch of 10 pins, but I think it was more me not making the adjustments w/entry angle than it was the ball. Long story short, best ball I've ever owned & I love the Shift.

Well the ball looks cool lol. But yea not very impressed as far as a top of the line ball goes. I always get stuck in between with the ball when it slides out on me or cuts through the face. When I do find the occasional area, its a great ball and hits great but it does not happen frequently at all compared to my other equipment. I liked the agent much more. Read the lane so much better. Too bad the agent couldnt go a month for me without cracking. Went through 3 of them ( pretty awesome getting a new ball for free 3 months in a row) and then was like yea STORM send me a different ball... so they did. If you are willing to spend this much money on a ball.. I think you could spend your money better... go buy the black widow pearl

This ball was drilled stacked leverage and did nothing for me like it was suppose to with all different surfaces the shift on the backend for me was oversold it arces but doesn't snap. Tried 2000 polish 1200 polish 500 wet sand with brunswick polish and 400 sanded did not make a shift to the pocket just steadily found its way. I bought a Storm Jolt Solid for $75.00 dollars cheaper and it by far outperforms my shift. Storm has done an excellent job alot of times but shift is from there premier line and jolt is from the lower line of there stuff and the jolt is just a little better in my opinion.

Only just bought this and WOW! First ball I threw my normal line (second arrow) and it hooked across the head and took out the 6 pin (Im a lefty). I had to move a massive 12 boards to the right to adjust, but after that it was smooth sailing, 220+ games all night, my average is 190 odd. I can see great things with this ball at my fingertips, not only high scores, but more consistant release and roll down the lane than anything I've used before. Only use this ball on Heavy Oil, anything else would be suicide.

I did not give up the ball and did not want to drill it differently, so my proshop driller watched me bowl and we decided to change the suface. He sanded it and now the ball arc's and moves with better control. I still use it down and in( playing about 8-9 board).Super line if uour smooth and accurate, if not a 10 pin will remain. What i like is that , i am enjoying playing a line i dont like but works and my game is consistant. Its a great ball and you can change the surface to fit your game.<s

This ball puts storm on top of the pearl particle category, and it will take some work for them to be knocked off. This ball has made my game seem to become even better, and feel like I can hook a ball even more, if thats possible. Also, it has unlimited power, that can be controlled as long as the bowler doesn't grab the ball extremely forcefully at release.... which may explain why P.D.W. was able to use it so well at the U.S. Open and the rest of the tour this year. This ball has raised my average about 10 pins due to the increased power it carries to the pocket. The ball also carries the back row very well, but I have left some smashed nine's that my NV never left before, probavly due to the increased power I was able to carry through the pocket... however I would sacrifice a few smashed nine's if I can spare myself the weak tens other balls had given me. This ball has so much power that even on deep angles I don't worry about skidding past the pockeet to leave a washout so I can c

I just got rid of a Total NV and a Angular One cause they both just quit reacting and lost their hit. So I decided to go back to Storm since I have had so much success in the past with Storm! Could only use it for 1 game and 4 frames and then had to goto my Thundersrtuck Pearl (which I also got the same time as the Shift) when the lanes broke down. Between the 2 balls I shot 721! Not bad for 2 new balls right out of the box!!! Highly recommend this ball if you want something that is very controlling but still hooks alot.

real good ball. im thinking about getting more storm because of it. it is a forgiving ball for a variety of shots. it does like a little bit of oil and i love it for that. it has such a clean movement through the heads and snaps pretty well in the backend. im not a big fan of its smell but oh well. i have it drilled to skid/flip and it does just that. holds pretty long at times but can also make it back alot of the times. a great ball for someone that likes a down and in shot, just as well as deep inside.

this ball has a very relaxing citrus fragrance to it which is just a plus to this amazing ball. The ball opens up the lanes very nice giving you a wide pocket to hit. on a nice fresh shot this ball really shows what it can do. it loves to create energy in the heads and midlane and as soon as it gets some friction it turns to the pocket and hard and doesn't slow down. as the lanes break down you'll have to keep it in oil because this ball doesn't like dry heads and will over react. the only negative to the ball is that my bridge is cracking, but i dont mind because storm stands behind their products and said they would replace it when necessary

This ball I would recomend to any one. Very very clean through the heads. Smoolth arc to the backend . GREAT carry even on the off hits Opens the lanes up real nice. Can be played from 2nd to 4th arrow.I'm LH., and even into the 4th arrow ball still recovered nicly. No rollout. and no over/under reaction when out by 2nd arrow. Ball has great drive, hits like a truck and keeps pins low to the deck. Hits the pocket with no defection. One of the best balls I have ever used. Ball tracks out normal not bad at all. Great ball!!!!!!!!

There is no way I can say enough about this ball! Straight out of the box it performed like a Champ. It took a few games to get used to the amazing backend this ball has, but after that there was no looking back. I seem to have riled a few folks by downing the Black Widow (drilled for the same reaction). Too bad, that ball would roll out on me if I moved too far left....Not the Shift! Wherever I throw from seems to be perfect for this ball, it always finishes! Now that I have devloped a track on this ball it's even stronger. I have a feeling that all those Widow people (Toxic people too, I had one of those also) just havn't tried a Shift, if they did they'd feel the same way I do. This ball is very forgiving, no over and under, it always seems to find the pocket. Plus as an added bonus it smells great!......again GREAT BALL!<scri

The Shift I drilled has a three inch pin and 2 3/4oz top weight. My PAP is 4 3/4" out and 7/8 up. I drilled this ball with the 5x3 layout with the pin 5" from my PAP and the mass bias 3" from my PAP. The Storm Shift is a good ball to have if you bowl on a lot of house shots and fresh oil patterns. I have found it to be very clean through the heads, reads the midlane well and makes a strong move on the backend. Performs really well for about the first three games but when the pattern starts to break down the ball starts to squirt a little in the carry down and you can end up with some flat 10's. Overall a really good ball and one of our top sellers.

Currently, my Shift is my standard use ball during league play. It spins up well after release and carries through the heads provided there's enough oil to let it skid. In all, an effective ball that allows me to play quite a ways inside. As soon as it sees dry boards, it begins a hard, but somewhat even hook into the pocket. All-in-all, I've had good success with the Shift and I'm looking forward to continued bowling fun. Newer bowlers or those who have not perfected their consistency are warned to stay away, however, as the ball can be jumpy given it agressiveness. Its pearl coverstock does not appear to be terribly forgiving and can really make you pay for shots that have different rotation angles and speeds. Because of this, I have a lot of "on/off" nights with the ball, which can force me to run to a more forgiving ball if I get spooked.

The Shift cleared the heads perfectly With fresh heads and dry back ends, this ball is an absolute monster. It clears the heads very well, carries through the midlane and makes a very sharp turn to the pins. Gets thru the heads with ease and has a strong predictable backend A lot of pearls or particle tend to skate and hang. This ball is easy to adjust to, doesn't have a dramatic change Don’t be fooled. The Shift definitely needs oil to work right. The breakpoint is not an angular hook, It is a radical arc to the pocket, When entering the pocket hits there’s are pins left on the deck searching for left overs. Reaction is different than a normal skid/flip reaction, the ball actually seems to change direction and drive through the pins (The ole Skid, roll, hook form back in the day as things are quoted today) This ball is amazing! The best pearl particle made An Addition to you line-up of winner Way to go STORM!!!!!

Once I got the hang of this ball, it is a thing of beauty. I definitely needs oil to work right. The breakpoint is not as angular, which I like. It is a radical arc to the pocket, and hits hard. There are no pins left on the deck, ever. I had two problems, beside the dryer lanes. 1. I was constantly leaving 10 pins, probably from the entry angle. and 2. I could not carry light hits. Both were fixed with a hand adjustment. Now, the ball has become my best friend at the lanes. I have come to rely on this ball for oily conditions. And it doesn't let me down. It carries great on a sport shot, and I will use it on PBA Experience lanes.

This is an amazing ball I have had several particle balls and this by far takes the cake. I have it drilled for a house shot like it says in the drilling guide and it is just a great ball. I have used it on a variety of shot even a sport shot and the ball flat out performs. This is a huge improvement of the Domination and I would have to say the best of the premier line. I will be getting a second and drill it a bit different than this one so stay tuned for an update. Bowl up a STORM!!!!!!<scrip
